Absolutely great meal! Had the tasting menu for 2 and it did not disappoint!
Great place for a dinner experience! If you’re looking for a place to have quality food with great service this is your place.
Incredible experience with the tasting menu and wine pairings! Everything was delicious!
Always great! Place is one of our favorites in Spokane!
We cannot get enough of this place. We have gone out to eat only three times since February and this was so beyond expectations and better by far than the other two (very nice and expensive) places we’ve been two since the whole pandemic began. The food is just incredible. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is lovely. PLEASE stay in business!!
My girlfriend and I sat outside, so the ambiance and noise levels for the restaurant are not accurately reflected. Outside seating is along the sidewalk and street, so it is a bit busy and noisy, but it was to be expected and not a problem. The quality and flavor of the food was phenomenal and the service was spot on. We definitely recommend. Cheers
One of the nicest restaurants around for date or any kind of special events! Highly suggest it. Go during the dinner it’s even better!!!
We really enjoyed the tasting menu. The food was amazing and the prices were quite reasonable. (I described it as Seattle quality without the Seattle prices.). Our server was awesome. We felt that they were careful in the age of COVID-19–greeted folks at the front door but required a mask to enter. Also some nice outdoor seating. Did I mention how great the food was? My husband can’t stop talking about the pork loin but for me, the salads and pasta were the standout dishes. I would gladly go back the next time I am in Spokane. Great food, nice ambiance, amazing service and delicious cocktails. All around winner.
I went to Gander & Ryegrass for my Anniversary...i Proposed... He said yes... The food was amazing... The cocktails were amazing...it was a memorable night!
Beautiful natural light fills the space and makes our lunch bright and cheery. Then the food and drink make you forget the time and focus on celebration of local ingredients, talented chefs, brilliant bartenders, and your dear friends at the table. We were seated quickly, at a spotless table by a masked server. We appreciated their commitment to the safest dining possible and we wore our masks at all times we were not seated at our table. We enjoyed bubbles and two lovely salads - octopus salad and a spring vegetable salad with the nicest green beans and radishes. Then the main dishes - hot porchetta with peppers and pickled pear and I had tagliatelle with mushroom sugo, fresh peas, and cured egg yolk. Plating was perfect. Everything tasted amazing. Wine pairings were on point. A lovely light dessert of amaro gelee, panna cotta, and elderflower and pistachio finished our meal. We even got to meet the chef-owner. A fantastic lunch experience. We will return as soon as we can.
The food was really good. I tried things I've never tried before
Hands down one of our favorite restaurants we have discovered on our family road trip this summer!!
Food was good. Went there expecting a menu advertised on facebook but then found out when we got there that the menu was only offered after 4pm, FB didn't indicate that. Food was good. Only one server working so service was a bit slow.
What a lovely place. The food was delicious and the service outstanding. We also loved the passion for craft cocktails. They use local and regional distilleries and it shows. The freshly made pasta was a wonderful treat. The duck was perfectly cooked and all the spring veggies were on point. We will definitely go again.
One of the best dinners I’ve had in Spokane. Beautiful space, great cocktails, and absolutely fantastic, thoughtful food. Highly recommend.
We made reservations but were the only ones there until one other family came in. We were able to sit outside which was cool. Our server was very attentive even with us sitting outside. The drinks were phenomenal and the food was very gourmet. My pasta (The tagliatelle) could have used slightly more flavor but everything was well-cooked and tasted incredibly fresh. My husband’s pasta (spaghetti) was simple but very flavorful, and again, very fresh. The prices were excellent and I would love to try some of the other dishes! Overall, I would highly recommend this place!
Fantastic meal and service.... will be back as soon as we can!!
The food and service was wonderful, we loved everything.
We were thrilled to eat at this little serene place. The food was excellent and the presentation lovely. The warm olives were a treat as well as the seasoned nuts. I enjoyed the octopus salad and the lovely Pana cotta we had for dessert.
The menu was created to have customers enjoy "Share plates" due to Covid so enjoy several dishes while you are there!
The pasta dishes were fantastic!! We also had a cocktail called At The Helm that was outstanding. The service was very attentive and we were pleased overall with the visit!!
Probably the best meal we've had in Spokane since we moved here 5 years ago. Perfectly judged tasting menu with well-paired wines, and a good vibe about the place. Highly recommended!
Ben's service was excellent. I would definitely go back.
This might be the best meal we’ve had in Spokane!! Each dish was thoughtfully put together, and the flavors were perfect. We will be back!
Gander and Ryegrass provides a captivating experience with attentive staff and incredible food. Truly appreciated the service we had even for a busy time such as restaurant week in Spokane. Would love to come back and enjoy the full experience.
Gander and Ryegrass is a beautiful dining experience. The meal we had was fantastic and exposed us to new flavors without overwhelming us. Our cocktail and wine selections were lovely. The atmosphere is romantic and the service is great. Highly recommend.
First visit to this new restaurant. We are lucky to have a restaurant of this quality in Spokane. Food was divine and attention to detail and impeccable service make this restaurant high on our list for future dining. Excellent in all aspects!!!
The service, ambiance, food, cocktails and wine were excellent. This was our first time and were not disappointed. Even provided an amuse bouche! Excited to return.
Amazing food and service!
We arrived a little early, so we sat at the bar and had a drink each. I had an Old Fashioned and my wife had a Manhattan. Both incorporated the house made bitters (which were very good). They also had a great selection of both bourbon and rye. Our drinks were excellent! We were soon seated and our server (Justin) was very knowledgeable as well as helpful. It was Restaurant week which is a one week promotion of restaurants in the area each having a set price menu with multiple selections for each course. My wife had a citrus, root vegetable and duck confit salad for her first course, a ragout of lamb and beef and tagliatelle for her second and the smoked steak with potato and carrot for her third course. The duck confit was wonderful (I had a bite, I love duck confit), the beef balanced out the lamb nicely and the smoked steak was perfectly medium rare with a nice smoke flavor. Of special note the potatoes tasted as if they were roasted in beef fat (I should have asked). I had grilled octopus for my first course, the octopus was firm but tender, for my second course I went off menu and had black truffle tortellini (I had never tried truffles, I can see what the hype is about), and white fish with a Marcona almond crust. It was delicious, but I couldn't get over the flavors of the black truffles they were truly my favorite item of the evening! I would highly recommend Gander and Ryegrass!
The experience overall was excellent!! The Chef and owner was very personable and knowledgeable, staff all around was terrific!!! We will be back.
Very impressed with the restaurant. We ate there during Restaurant Week and the place was fully booked. Our waiter Ben was very knowledgeable about the food and wine that was offered that evening. Service was excellent and not rushed which is one of our metric for a great experience. The team working the restaurant helped each other out so no patron was waiting for service, but the staff wasn't trying to wrestle your plate away from you. The Restaurant Week menu was 3 courses, with an option for a dessert. All the courses were very well presented and very favorable. The experience reminded us of some impeccable meals we had living in Europe. We will definitely be returning to try the full-menu.
Food was delicious w/ pasta the stand out experience. Service was impeccable and unlike anything I’ve experienced in Spokane. Will absolutely be back.
Very fun long course dinner experience! We went for restaurant week and loved it!
I’ve enjoyed this restaurant 4-5 times so far. I dine out a lot. This is quite easily Spokane’s most extraordinary restaurant experience. The food is just superlative — every serving is highly creative, exquisitely tasty, stunningly beautiful with each presentation. The servers deliver consistently first class friendly accommodating service and attention, even recalling exactly what I’ve had in previous visits, and what I loved the most!!! Impressive!!! I’ve enjoyed The French Laundry which is certainly world class — and in all sincerity — Gander & Ryegrass is every bit as rare, memorable, and wonderful. There is a new brilliant renaissance going on in this great city — as Spokane continues to have outstanding restaurants — with many great choices. You cannot be disappointed here.
Chef is innovative. Portions are small but is interesting and fresh, I enjoyed it. The cocktail list was mediocre, however, when talking with the bartender Ben, he made a few seriously good cocktails. I would go back.
Incredible food and wonderful service. Each course was unique and it was clear that the chef(s) took great care in assuring that every bite was a culinary experience. Bartender makes wonderful, unusual drinks also win great care.
Dirty dishes poor food way to much money for samplers
Golden Corral has better food
From the moment we enters the restaurant we felt like the only patrons in the restaurant. The service from Ben was unbelievable and the food, oh my!!! Every course was something special. The wine pairing was so well identified that it brought out the special taste of each course. I would highly recommend this place to everyone and will.

I was very happy we decided to spend our night at Gander, the food was amazing and didn't disappoint. The flavors, food presentation and the love that is put into each item is carful thought out and properly executed. I will return and hope if you are reading this you take my review to heart, this simply is a meal you wont forget.
Amazing place and meal. We enjoyed the valentine's set 8 course meal with featured wine pairing. It was a delightful experience that had my wife and I talking throughout the evening, the car ride home, and late into the night. We look forward to our next meal at Gander and Ryegrass.
