GameTime - Tampa
GamTime's beautiful Restaurant gives you the option to play and eat in style. With a wide variety of menu selections serving Brunch, Lunch, Dinner and great Sports Bar staples, you are certain to have a fantastic dining experience while everyone has a great time!
New hire for our server, understandable she had some areas still yet to be developed but the other staff offered her little support. Food was OK but nothing very good, games were fun which I suppose it why you go! Great beer specials which made up for the food
We arrived at 12:20 since we had a reservation at 12:30 for my daughter's birthday. Their internet was down and they told us they could only take cash, no credit cards. My husband had to walk half a mile to get cash at an ATM. He came back, and they refused to sit us down because an adult and 2 small children in our party had not yet arrived, although there was no one else there and the restaurant was practically empty. We ended just playing the arcades and not having lunch at all. Management and employees seemed bothered that we were there and treated us horribly. Definitely not recommend for the restaurant, unfortunately they are the only game place in Tampa. Their service is horrible and their internet is always down, so even arcades don't function at times. Don't waste your time or money at this place.
Hospitality was a 1. Some of the food was cold, waffles were hard, I assume because they were precooked early for the brunch crowd.
Good food and great service. A bit quiet d'or a Friday Night.
We were a party of four and first time for all. First the hostess had no idea how to check for a reservation. Got seated easily because it was early on a Friday and they were dead. Server took our order. Two of three apps came out. Over 30 min later our food came (with the third appetizer). Three entrees were fine. The fourth and the late appetizer were inedible and sent back. Our beer was fine. Server was nice and apologetic. Will not be back to eat
Made a reservation and still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated took another 15 min before server even came to the table she was not friendly at all she seemed as though she didn't want to be there
We went on Easter Sunday and had some mix feelings on the place. Had a reservation set, but table was not ready for awhile (30 mins or more). When we did finally get seated, the wait for food was pretty bad, almost an hour and a half wait. They were understaffed to say the least. The manager was amazing though, he was really working hard trying his best to make the best of a worst situation for the customers. As far as the food, for the price you really don't get that much. Eggs were cold, but didn't complain about it, too hungry at that point. One of the meals was missing sausage. Kitchen staffed needs retrained. The games were fun and kids enjoyed them.
We went here several yrs ago and had a blast. This place sucks ..food was bland , wait staff
was untrained and drink service was so horrible my wife and sat at the bar to get our own drinks while we waited for our food . Games were not to bad . Same Air Hockey set from 10 yrs ago .
This is a great place to eat and watch sports. They also have a nice big game room with lots of games that are reasonably priced.
My Son and his friends enjoyed The fun they had also Yhe adults enjoyed watching football and playing pool...The food was great
It was so much fun! It was our first time here and the staff was so friendly. The food is good and the games are a lot of fun. Great date night place for sure.
Bad and slow service and over priced. It was the second time l went with my kids and not planning to go back again
Came for the Mayweather vs. McGregor fight and paid $55 per person for premium seating with buffet service as well as $10 worth of arcade credits. Had a BLAST. Well organized, TVs everywhere, food was really good, staff was friendly. So much better than the local bar we went to for another big sporting event last year. Will be back for sure, and would recommend to my friends.
Watched the Mayweather/McGregor fight.. It was fun. The buffet was great.
the environment was fun for kids but when adults have to come into contact with the staff it becomes a different atmosphere. they were rude and very impatient. didn't care to find out what was going on, rather ready to dismiss our party after cover charges were paid. horrible service!!
We had a group of friends meet up to watch the big fight between Mayweather and McGregor. We paid a cover charge to get in which was totally fine. Then after ordering drinks and being there about 30 minutes were told that we couldn't leave an open tab for the fight and would have to cash out. Again that's ok.... but to cash out every hour on the hour for 4 plus hours after paying a cover charge is a bit much. We didn't have any intentions of going anywhere and I felt this was a hassle and tip gouging on Gametimes part. Won't be watching any events there from now on.
Everything was great until the server charged everyone the wrong bill!!!
My party and I had a great time at the arcade but our server was absolutely awful. We ordered beers as soon as we got there and did not get them till the end of our meal. It was a disgrace. She continuously forgot the condomints for the table and while bringing the food, out plate was against her shirt and the chicken tenders were on it and she played it off as nothing happened. She barely attended us and was not that friendly as you would expect.
Great place to host a party. And have the service you need.
I'll be short. No where does it say your whole party has to be there at the same time, so I did not inform my guests of this. The restaurant was empty, and because half our guest showed up a little after 1 (a couple of us was there before one), they sat half the party and I appreciated that, but since the other half wasn't here yet, they sat a smaller table of 4 in one of our other tables that was set up for our large party saying it was because our guests are late. Literally every other single table was open. To sit them there was spiteful and rude, especially since we weren't informed of this policy. Not on the phone nor on the Internet as we spoke with employees and and manager on 3 occasions. We lucked out as some of my guests did not show so we were able to crame in where we were, but we should have never had to crame
Our waitress was fun. I enjoyed her a lot. My only issue was one of my guests side salad never came, I waited quit a long time for my alcohol drink, and one of the appetizers, chips and salsa of all things, came after we received the main course. We tried saying we no longer wanted it, but it was kind of forced on us, and we never even ate it at that point. Plus, it did take a little while for food prep. My issue is the appetizer should have been taken off right away as we said we didn't want it anymore, we should not have been made to feel like we have to take it, and due to the other things we should have been offered a discount. This is not how you get repeat clientele. Again, I like my server, and she was training, but we were there early with no one else there at first.
We did enjoy the game room, but the dining room was not what it should be. Most of the food was good though.
The service in the dining room was terrible. The waitress was poor, and the food was awful.
The gaming was fun but there were a lot of restrictions on the games with the cards we bought for hourly use.
I can understand on a Sunday morning being low or out of some key food, but seriously, every item we selected, out. Mozzarella sticks, out. Bacon, out. Curly fries, out. Manager, Tyler, could not be more disinterested. No notification of food outage upon entering. No offer to substitute or offers of discounts or alternative options. I've been to a number of family oriented restaurants. Never have we spent $300 only to be "and" in the end. I'm glad GameTyme is doing so well that being attentive to their customers does not matter.
We went to Gametime for something different than our typical family dinner. The food was great, the service was excellent and we loved the location as well. We enjoyed spending time as a family (two kids, 16 and 11) and enjoyed the many games that they have.
We went there before going to the Lightning game which was a Christmas present for our kids. Our reservation was for 4p. It took 1:45 to get our meals. They have a policy where they wouldn't give the kids their game cards until after they eat. It took about :20 to eat, and our trolley left @ 6:20 which gave the kids :15 to play games. On top of that the waitress charge the wrong meals to the wrong credit cards. Very doubtful we will ever go back again.
Our server in the bar area for our party was EXCELLENT, Jessica had numerous tables to tend to but was always there when we needed her. I tended to the kids' table area and she was wonderful. My parents and their adult friends had their own tables. They too were very impressed with her. Her name was Jess or Jessica and she worked Saturday 2/4 at 2:30 until we left at 6.
Had a good time. Waitress, Jessica, was wonderful. We ordered an array of appetizers for our group and all was good. No complaints.
