The service was the best ever! All the servers were very attentive!
Amazing! The food was delicious, fresh and one-of-kind experience.
Rearervattiom for 6 for a professional dinner. Great experience enjoyed ourselves very much. We will be back
The service was amazing, very attentive. It’s a bit loud - so sometimes it’s hard to hear what they’re saying when they walk by with the meat. Sadly, I thought the food was very salty. It was sooo good, but it was getting difficult to ignore towards the end of dinner. I had to take a bite of the plantain with each bite to cancel out the saltiness. I tried the Pisco Sour, pretty disappointed. I could BARELY taste the Pisco, not worth it if I’m drinking juice. Overall, don’t think I’ll go back only because it was salty as hell.
We went for lunch, and the restaurant wasn't very crowded. But the amount of meats and the service were superb. They didn't skimp just because there weren't many customers. Amazing level of service, and the food was fantastic! Highly recommend.
Tried several local Brazilian Steakhouses , but this one is my favorite by far!! Not only is the meat fantastic, but the grilled pineapple adds that extra tropical flavor. Also, the servers aren’t pushy , very respectable of your time. You feel at home and not rushed to get full right away & leave. Will definitely come back to my new Brazilian Steak house soon ❣️
As alway, excellent food, excellent service, excellent ambiance.
As always this place was right on point. Our server Hamilton was delightful and had wonderful suggestions for drinks. All the other staff that we encountered were top notch as well. We will continue to come back. Thank you.
This place is the Bomb!!!!!
A bit pricey to be able to enjoy more than once, maybe twice a year. Great service though; all were friendly, helpful and professional. Only issue with food at time was getting some of the red-meats cooked to at least medium...most of it was MR or oven rare; however, on one occasion the service actually brought a piece of steak back to the cooks and returned it cooked to order. Well done...the server, not the steak...it was a perfect medium.
We take all our guests to Galpao Gaucho, guaranteed a great meal and a unique experience!
Love this place every time I go. The staff are friendly and welcoming to the guests.
Service was slow. Dirty napkins on the floor. Food stuck on sugar packet holder.
Best steak house in San Antonio! Great place, everything was perfect!
We have been to a few Brazilian steakhouses. This was very nice The salad bar was well done and had a good variety, The meat selections and preparation were wonderful. The service was generally above and beyond what we have gotten at other places. They were very attentive, offered a clean plate a couple of times. Kept water and wine glasses filled, and frequently but unobtrusively checked on how we were doing.
The salad bar is the star with the desserts a close runner up.
The meats were OK. Nothing special other than presentation- all of those swords are eye catching.
I asked three times for steak that was not a first cut on what was being offered. The outside was tough and over cooked. They cut from the same area each time. I paid $35.00 for a chicken leg and the salad bar. The steak was not edible. I will not go back.
Came into this one for my birthday, which lucky enough for me falls right during restaurant week, so at least I got this at a discounted rate. Anyway, for a carnivore's treat, I can't recommend anything better than a Brazilian steakhouse (have been to all four in San Antonio that I know of), and I definitely found this one to be on par with the best in the city (this and one other I think are tied in my mind for best). Unfortunately, for my wife (who is not so enthralled by the endless supply of meat), the salad buffet could have been a little better, but still was 2 out of 4 for the city's Brazilian steakhouses.
Everything was delicious, service was excellent!
Came during restaurant week, not all meat cuts were available.
The picanha and spicy picanha were delicious! We went during restaurant week so it was a great value. From the cheese bread to start with and dessert to end, and everything in between - it was all great. The only thing at all that wasn't very good was the fried polenta - it was just hard/overcooked. But - left more room for the delicious meat!!
overall was not impress with food selection on the salad bar. Choice of meat was okay, however quality is not as good as the other Brazilian Steakhouses in town.
Was excited to have restaurant week since my husband and I like to frequent Brazilian steakhouse places and wanted to try a new one in town. When we arrived we were sat quickly and approached by our server immediately. Got our drink orders. The first drink I ordered had about 1/3 of granulated sugar on the bottle of the glass making the drink unbearably sweet to drink. We sent the drink back and asked for another drink ( Rum and Coke, it's my go too) and again the drink was just not very good. I feel it is really hard to mess a drink up but lets go back and talk about when we wanted to tell our waiter about the first drink he never came over we had to have another waitress take our second drink order and tell her why we were sending the drink back. It took over 30 minutes to get our second drink order to come to our table. We had to mention we ordered drinks to 2 other waiters and we finally got our drinks and they were not very good for the price. The food was good, the company was great but the drinks and the service were not up to par which is one reason we will never visit the restaurant again.
Lesser than...is my summary. There are better local churrascaria choices for ambiance, food quality, and overall experience. That being said, the variety and flavor of the meats presented was the most positive part of our meal. The service was the worst. When we arrived seven minutes early for our 5 PM Friday evening reservation, the hostess's opening greeting was, "we're still closed but will re-open shortly". Perhaps everyone is expected to arrive late? Next, she asked us if we were ready to "get sat". She also asked the next group waiting if they'd like to "get sat too". The crude cattle call was definitely unexpected. The lead waiter was skilled amid a sea of bumbling waiters, and his efforts to keep them in line were valiant if not awkward. I preferred a different meat temperature from the others in my party of five, and the waiters could not grasp this, despite repeated communication efforts. So while the others had turned their cards to red as their plates were full, mine remained empty. The head waiter attempted to remedy the situation, and the other waiters compensated by continuing to bring meat long after I had turned my card red. It was comical. The restaurant pricing reflects the "lesser than" status, but frankly price is not a huge consideration for me. I would return with a group if they wanted to try it, but it would not be the churrascaria that I recommend to my friends. It also feels more like a lovely tea room than a steakhouse, except staffed with high school cafeteria workers and their principal.
We made a reservation and still waited 20 minutes to be seated. We were promptly greeted and offered a drink menu but no one ever took a drink order or even refilled our water. The food was delicious but service was poor. We asked 3 different people for a check and waited 20 minutes before we were able to leave.
We waited a long time for everything. Usually at Brazilian steak house services is everything. But we had to constantly ask for clean plates (and a few times we would just go get our own from the salad bar), the salad bar was always missing items, ask and wait for meats we wanted (usually if you say no to one or two meats they will ask you what you are waiting on), ask for refills of water and the dessert took about 20 minutes to come out after we ordered. The food was yummy, but everything took so long it ruined the experience. Go to the other Brazilian Steak Houses in San Antonio!
We were very pleased with the quality of the food. The service was excellent!
Great food and very attentive! We enjoyed our dining experience and will be returning!
Great vibes and well worth the price, everything was perfect
Everything was delicious and the staff was so welcoming and friendly
The total experience was Excellent! From the time we arrived to the end. The greeter was very pleasant, she moved the chairs to help us get seated & our waitress was very sweet. She always made sure we had drinks, sides & clean plates. Everyone kept asking if we were getting the different cuts of meat we wanted. Every time we would get back to our table someone would get the chair to help us get seated. Very charming & elegant. The food & service is as Always, wonderfully cooked & spiced. Excellent Dinner for two or family. I can't wait to go back. I had a coupon to use & that was even better.
We only got a small selection of meat, and generally we have a fantastic experience. Not sure why it was lacking in that aspect last night.
This restaurant is outstanding , food is fantastic the service is great they treat my family like family
A friend recommended Galpao Gaucho, and I'm glad I took my three adult kids there the other day. I enjoyed the food, service, and most of all the peaceful atmosphere!
Thanks for another wonderful dinner. So thrilled you now carry Juggernaut, our favorite wine!
Food is great, tastes better than other Brazilian steak houses. But this was our second go round at this restaurant just to give the benefit of the doubt. They are very disorganized and do not respect reservation times.
If you make a reservation here expect to wait a long time to be seated. The first time I was here I waited about a hour and this time I was seated 20 minutes after reservation time. So, if you want good food and don’t mind waiting this is the spot for Brazilian steak houses.
Not as s good as Chama Gaucha but better than Fogo de Chao. The salad bar has good variety but its not as impressive as other Brazilian steak houses and the quality of the ingredients could be better. The seasoning/salt on most meats is a little weak but their spicy steak and lamb was on point. I was disappointed with the sausage, garlic steak and chicken legs overall flavor. Best Chapirinhas in town so far, quiet atmosphere. The table was a little small and we were overwhelmed by the gauchos in such a small space. I'm used to my plate being changed mid meal and that did not happened. We did have to call gauchos back at times that forgot to serve the rest of the table with green cards. The sides were average, the cheese bread was ok.
Loved it great staff food was great and delicious. Will be returning
Great food and service. A little loud. Table ready when reserved. Will be back.
