   Quality food and excellent service. Marvellous ambience with wonderful and welcoming decoration. We went there with my 717 year old aughter and a couple of her friends. My daughter complemented me for having found a really "cool and beautiful" place and that's the highest kind of praise a mom can have!

   Beautiful bar and location. The building is so interesting, every corner has something unique! Not many vegetarian dishes but enjoyed the drinks..! Definitely recommend.

   The food was quite expensive for the quality and flavor… and the drinks were neither strong nor appetizing. It wasn’t bad, but it also wasn’t particularly good. The service was fine, though our appetizers had barely hit the table when the entrees were delivered; at the price point, we had hoped for better cadenced service. It goes without saying that the ambiance was lovely in the main dining room. Sadly, we were seated in a back room that felt as though it was an after thought with cheap folding tables and chairs… I would concede that this is a thematic choice, but the defunct railroad car shell we sat in surely would have never had a World Market patio set for tables on which to serve what ended up being an $80/ person bill. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend Gallow Green

   Amazing! Never hesitated to create and immersive experience. Went to the lodge. Had a party of 9 so we had to do family style and I gotta say this was the best bang for the buck! Huge portions and lots of rounds of food coming out of the kitchen every 30/40 minutes. Plenty drinks too!! They kept the booze flowing! What a great way to catchy up with friends while being waited on hand and foot. Excellent service.

   It really feels like you're in Bern, Switzerland or somewhere else in the Alps. Decor is cozy and the cocktails are on point. The Frost Bloom was one of the best drinks I have had in a long time. Food was good, but not really the reason to go. Go, now. Before it gets busy again.

   Food and drinks were decent, nothing special. Cute decorations what would make for an awesome experience unfortunately it was freezing cold. All of us were eating in our coats and some needed a blanket for their legs. The view heat lamps did not get the place even close to a decent temperature. Very unpleasant dinner experience. If I wanna freeze through a meal I can also eat outside and don’t need an “indoor” reservation. Definitely had us out the door in less than an hour so I guess it is their business model to sell the table as often as possible in one night.

    The ambiance, drinks, and service were great. Food was disappointing, especially considering the price. French onion soup tasted like hot water with cheese on top, steak was either cheap cut or not seasoned at all, not even sure what to think on the goulash. Fine experience but wouldn’t go back for a meal.

    My fiancé and I went here for our anniversary. Save yourself the trouble- the food was not good. I ordered the burger (was comparable to Wendy’s fast food) and my fiancé the chicken snitchzel, which was not worth the price. We had to flag down a waiter to get our drink / appetizer order. There were barely any views of the skyline. THE worst part was the 30 minute line you had to wait on outside to even enter the building (due to the elevator only bringing up 8 ppl at a time) because they mixed people dining with the people attending a show, which happened to be a similar time as our reservation (that we were 40 minutes late for due to this line). I was extremely disappointed because it looked beautiful online, but it’s definitely a nice cocktail/ quick summer spot… Save yourself the trip if you’re looking for anything else.

    A slightly creepy garden in keeping with the ambiance of the fabulous show (Sleep No More) taking place in the floors below. The food was good and great mixed drinks. Excellent service.

    Nice atmosphere but the food was awful. The slow roasted carnitas and steak tacos were very tough to chew and lacked flavor even with the sides. I'd go here for a drink but skip the food.

    I love the cozy lodge feel to this place! Very immersive and the service and food was great. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and I’m definitely coming back in the future.

    This used to be a 5/5 roof top in the winters with the old Ski Lodge and fireplace. Very disappointed to see everything that was unique in Manhattan turning into more of a boring capitalistic superficial "fit as many as possible at cost of uniqueness". Will have to look for a new unique place. The new McKittrick management/owner ruining the place.

    Staff is very nice and helpful, and service is quick for people who are there to see a show. The food however was disappointing and basically like pub fare, which is probably why it can be made so quickly. Considering the pricing and venue, was expecting better food.

    Our drinks were delicious and the food was pretty good, if a little bland. The mince pie dessert, however, was doughy and flavorless. And for $10, it was basically child sized. Our server was fantastic and the ambience is cool (it was cooler in previous years), but not worth it for the price.

    Mostly disappointed about the bar staff who was rude to us after we had just grabbed dinner at the restaurant. Were told to make room for other guests and free the bar when it was empty. Food was unfortunately not very tasty and still ended up with a 200$ tab for two

    The lodge has a very different set up and ambiance than previous years. It used to be a magical forest feel with different rooms and places to bring drinks. This year there is just one large dining room. Food and service was fine, but overall very disappointed that it wasn’t as interesting and fun as before. Ok if you are hungry after seeing a show there and want something close, but definitely not worth going out of your way for.

    This place was hyped up to be a large and immersive cabin and lounge, with great food and drinks. The ambiance although pretty cool was small and limited. Essentially aside from a dinning room and lackluster rooftop there was no where to just have a drink or lite bite and be immersed in the cabin. Pizza was good other food okay. Waiter was great but elevator and host staff were rude and unfriendly.

    I was disappointed because the decor is far less fun and interesting and special than it used to be. I was here a few years ago and they had the unique decor from the play, with private rooms with bunk beds and all kinds of fun secret hideaways to play in. I brought my friend here from out of town to give her a unique NYC quirky and charming experience. But the place has been largely transformed into a conventional if pleasant restaurant. I asked the waiter about the change and he said they got rid of the interesting and fun stuff several months ago. He agreed with me that it is a real loss and said many of the staff there also agreed it wasn't what it used to be. I had googled around to see if the place was like it was years ago but there wasn't much info about this.. So I want others to know. It's still a nice place, but it isn't that special anymore.

    Thanks to Sarah Funky’s YouTube video , my daughter and I attended tonight. Whilst there was a tad of disappointment with no fondues, the French onion soup and warm spirited cocktails were amazing! The outdoor fireplace was gorgeous and the staff were great! I recommend this place to everyone (& quietly, the only place in NYC with a smoking section)!!

    The cocktail there is amazing. We had a Black lady and a Sleep No More. They are definitely worth to try. Food is in general overpriced and tastes terrible. We had fries and pizza. They taste like frozen food from whole food.

    Started off being packed into a small area to wait for the elevator, which finally came down 5 mins later and were told that it was only for performers at the hotel’s other bar venue. We were then shuffled back outside in a huge group and taken halfway down the block to another door and were told to get on another elevator, but everyone was lost and confused when we got there. After navigating the dark maze inside we eventually made it to our table almost 15 minutes after our reservation time, and were seated at a 4-top table right in front of the door with freezing air blowing in every time it opened. Service was disorganized and it seemed like the server had never done this before. The only redeeming factor was that the food, drinks and dessert were great (though overpriced). Would probably not come back to this location.

    This was so disappointing. We had heard so many good things but I felt like it was overrated, overpriced and tacky. The food wasn’t even that good and the cheesy Halloween decor was overkill for me. Also, the restaurant cards at the door (21+) and they took our IDS and put Xs on our hands which was really annoying because we had no idea and then could not go out after with black sharpie Xs on our hands. We wish we would have known it was 21+ especially because it was so unexpected for a restaurant with such a cheesy/ Disney Epcot atmosphere.

    The ambiance is worth a lot. It feels enchanting to be on the roof with a Great Gatsby feel. The dinner menu is limited and the I would say just fair, but the ambiance makes it taste better ;)

    Highs: - very cool rooftop setting, decorated for fall - entry ambience of an old dark probably haunted hotel - right off the Highline - good pizza Lows: - being put at the end of a long table, in the bulk seating area, on the table leg despite having an opening hour reservation - questionable oysters that we didn’t finish - skittish waiter - More available than Open Table led us to believe Verdict: - good for a drink and appetizers
