Pork Chop LaPlace
Andouille stuffed double cut pork chop, cold smoked and grilled, served with red beans, ham hock cornbread dressing, fried pickled red onions and tiger sauce
A friend came into town to visit and we knew we needed to take her for the food and cocktails! Had a great time and will be back
We googled what to try in New Orleans while we were visiting. We saw that Galliano’s had a high rating so we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. For us, Galliano’s should have a 5 star rating. We are very familiar with eating redfish as we live on the coast. Their redfish was perfectly cooked as was everything else. Try it because you won’t regret it!
Wonderful experience here last night! Food was delicious and service was great!!
Extremely slow service. Drinks were good but took forever to get. Food was mediocre for the price. Steaks were very gamey. Took an hour to get charcuterie board for app.
Nice appetizers. Entrées were not as good as advertised.
Both my fish & husbands pork chop was dry & over cooked. We loved the ambiance & good music. The service was good also. I think we’d give it another try.
Excelente cocina. Atención muy buena de mesero y personal de staf.
We were just in New Orleans for one night and found this place on open table and made a reservation a couple weeks in advance…All the staff was great, our server i think her name was Katie was amazing and all of the food was incredible! Best meal we’ve had in a long time. We really are thinking of going back to New Orleans when we can just to eat with y’all again :) thank you so much
Great service, strong delightful cocktails, tasty well prepared food, very good value, really enjoyed the experience with our young adult children, and the oysters were Devine! Katy was our server and she was fantastic! Highly recommend.
Wonderful food, large portions, our server, Tori, was lovely!!
Most amazing meal ever! We went here for a date night to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and it was incredible!
Are there any bad restaurants in NOLA? This was a great representation of local food. A little pricey but you get what you pay for. Great pork and seafood. Try the Smokey old fashioned as an after dinner treat!
We had a great time from when we were greeted at the door to the end of the meal. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, she was friendly and took care of our needs. The food was really good, the oysters on the half shell were truly fresh. You could almost hear them scream as they were going down. My wife had the crawfish fettuccine with the crab cake Monica. Very enjoyable. I had the pork chop laplace. The chop was cooked and flavored well and the andouille stuffing was a treat. The cornbread stuffing went well with the dish. I didn’t care for the red beans. I think if they would use red beans cooked traditionally the flavor of the dish would improve. Had the fresh baked pecan pie with whipped cream for dessert, very tasty.
We will definitely return to this restaurant.
I had great expectations for Galliano, but ended up feeling like our group of four was at a party we had not been invited to. While we were seated on time, it was more than 30 minutes before our waiter showed up as we watched him serve other diners that had arrived after we did. He seemed congenial enough, but he didn't show us the love. When our food arrived, it was cold and three out of four dishes were unacceptable. After letting the manager know what was going on, he basically took over, brought us a second bottle of wine on the house and later had four complimentary desserts delivered to our table. He returned the unacceptable meals to the kitchen to breathe life back into them. He really salvaged what would have been a bad experience overall.
Outstanding southern/cajun cuisine but also superb steaks. The shrimp and grits topped with a soft shell crab was excellent. Steaks served on a sizzling skillet, and cooked perfectly. Excellent HUGE selection of spirits: bourbons, scotches, tequilas, etc. Great wine list. Great service. Cozy spot, too. Overall an excellent dining experience!
Fantastic food!!!!! Cannot say that enough. Looking forward to returning.
Salmon was under cooked, they did rectify and all was good!
Paid for food we didn’t get. Took dessert to go and didn’t get one of the servings. Drinks were very sour and not as described Green bean side never made it to the table. Oysters were fried to a crisp. Don’t recommend!!
Lyla is a great server
The best service in the city, Tessa was a true professional. The food was outstanding starting with the oysters and ending with the best chocolate bread pudding. Pork chop was to die for. Wish we found it in our first night rather than the last.
We had a good time eating at this restaurant. If you don't like fried dishes this is not the place to go.
Outstanding food and service! Comfortable and fun atmosphere.
Oysters and pork chop were delicious. Plate was not very warm, but tasty.
Great time was had. Staff was awesome. We had a few extra people that they were able to accommodate. Our party of 10 had a great experience. Apps, meals, desserts were all wonderful.
Great food, wonderful service. A bit noisy but not bad. Would suggest it anyone looking for good food in NOLA
Relaxed and delicious
The service was great and overall the food was very good. One dish, a vegetarian Mushroom Tower did not meet expectations, but was still good.
Drinks were great. One of the dishes came out like warm, they brought a fresh and hot dish five minutes late. I will return.
We shared the alligator creole appetizer and it came out with a dipping sauce that was very good. My husband had the New York Strip and it was outstanding. It came out on a cast iron pan sizzling hot and cooked perfectly. I had the Crawfish and Seafood Cake Pasta Monica. Delicious! For dessert we shared the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding. Perfect end of a meal. It was served with vanilla ice cream and topped with candied almonds. The sweetness of the bananas foster was perfect balanced with the creamy ice cream and the crunchy candied almonds slices. We also enjoyed a specialty cocktail recommended by the wait staff. Excellent ! Portions on everything were generous. Excellent service. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire meal.
Great dining experience! Tory was marvelous. Wine menu was large however they had very few wines that were listed. Quite disappointing.
Food and service was good. We had a fall salad that was delicious and oysters, and a pork dish that was good.
We had eaten here before and were anxious to return. Outstanding service from Tori! Great suggestions on food choices. I had the salmon and it was delicious. Also enjoyed the Fried green tomato salad. Great gumbo! Very interesting green bean side with Bloody Mary juice to give it flavor. James, the manager was welcoming and made sure everything was too our liking. Casual but nice atmosphere and easy walk from our Omni hotel.
Delicious sizzling steak!
Ther server was good! Wasn’t her fault the Kitchen was slow! The food was not good! Grits were over cooked! Oysters were looked like they’ve been sitting a while!
The bar ran out of my drink that had pineapple in it!
Really wish the food would’ve been better!
Afternoon decision to dine at Galliano, had never been there before. Will go back! Great experience all round.
Pretty disappointing. Slow service. And less than average food. Only the alligator was flavorful. The pork chop was flavorless and was oddly hot. It was actually still streaming after it was eaten (hmmm). Fried oysters were soggy and were simply tossed back into the oil to crisp them up, so they were soggy then oily. There were good reviews on the gumbo but that too was a disappointment.
For the price point, there are many better options. If you couldn’t compare this place to other places in NOLA, we’d still be disappointed.
Lastly, I suppose when a restaurant requires your full order upfront, then that is a warning sign that even they know the issues. (It was not fine dining to require that).
Food was pretty good, but it came out lukewarm after a long wait
Was very disappointed. Food was brought out cold, food overpriced (8 dollars for a side of red beans), took over an hour to get our food while there were only three other guests in the restaurant, and the waitress wasn't knowledgeable or attentive. Waste of a good Saturday evening. Ended up getting sushi to go next door because everyone was so underwhelmed with their order.
Service was amazing, waitress was very personable and made sure we had everything that we needed. Enjoyed the night out with our friends and my girlfriends birthday!
At a convention and found Galliano’s across from our hotel! We returned after our first meal there and brought some business guests! Service was excellent and food was outstanding!
