I enjoy the little touches that we get when we dine here. The scallops and grits were awesome. The grits were flavorful and well seasoned while the scallops had the perfect textbook sear. Staff is responsive and courteous.
Very nice brunch after church and they would take a reservation.
Fantastic food and even better service!!
The server forgot about our appetizer. When she arrived with the entrees, I asked about the foie gras. She exclaimed that she forgot, offered to remove the entrees, and bring the app. We declined. She said she would bring it after the entrees. We accepted.
While we were still working on the entrees, she brought the foie gras and crammed it onto our table.
She also didn't clear dishes when it was obvious that we were finished with them. We suspect that this was her first experience with fine dining.
We thought it was strange that a manager didn't come to our table at all, especially after the server forgot our first course.
We've been to The Gallery on numerous occasions and really enjoyed it. This time was a big disappointment.
We mainly had steaks they were as good as any steak house. Salad and foie gas were excellent.
Service very good. We brought our own wine and corking fee was reasonable.
I will be back
Nice quiet place, cool seating. Food was good but not the best value.
Waitress have an attitude she took away our wine glasses thinking we are not drinking but we did order a bootle wine that cost $70 waitress don’t even told us about the special of the day till we ask her poor services
We like the idea of a short menu . Food was very good.
Very nice place for Sunday brunch.
5 star with hair in the food
Staff didnt genuinely care just lip service
Special event ruined
It was my nieces 18th birthday and I brought my mom, sister, and niece. Even though we had a reservation we still had to wait about 20-30 minutes before being seated. The hostess was very flustered. My moms entree was incorrect and it took an additional 20+ minutes for them to prepare the correct food. It came out after we had all eaten. Our waitress was very slow and didn’t offer us to have a dessert menu - last time I went for my birthday they brought my husband and I complimentary cheesecake. It was a little disappointing to say the least.
We had the best meal with exceptional service! Jess and Gregg at the bar are so great and make the best drinks in town!
After church brunch.
Enjoyable. Excellent food and service (Billy). We will be back :)
Great food and service
Sal our waiter was awesome. Overpriced slooow kitchen. Food not worth the money.
Food was good but for the cost should be better. Loved the fact that both our entrees came with a whole head of roasted garlic. Mac and cheese was extremely disappointing, no flavor at all. Filet and rack of lamb were both very good.
A great place to enjoy a great meal in a clean, quiet setting! The staff were very friendly and courteous. Our waitress was awesome as she had wonderful recommendations, plus her down-to-earth character made us feel as if we grew up as friends (although it was our first time meeting her)! The food was fantastic and plentiful. We will definitely return.
Another lovely visit to the Gallery. Amazing service and food much of which is sourced locally.
The service and the food was excellent. Menu is small but diverse. My wife and I had an excellent evening.
This was our third visit to the Gallery. We remembered having great food the past two times. We went for the valentines dinner and we were very disappointed. The food was mediocre and overpriced. We will not return.
Sunday brunch was very good. Chris our waiter was very attentive, service was excellent, food was hot and we enjoyed the surprise 'birthday desert" for my guest. We will be back again.
This remains the best restaurant in Charlotte we've ever visited. While we hit it near St. Valentine's Day when the menu was limited, the overall quality of the food, service and atmosphere just can't be beat. We always sit in the bar on a sofa or love seat for two. Derek encourages us to sit the night, ordering items as we go. I ordered the salmon - the modest portion was fine, given we were ordering lots of apps, anyway, but for most, it probably would have left them wanting. It was wonderful: sweet, juicy, fresh and slightly seared on the outside to give it that perfect combination of texture and flavor. We just can't find this kind of ambiance quality and service anywhere else in the Charlotte area. We especially love being greeted and then afforded privacy. It's professional service.
From the moment we walked in we were treated like royalty. I emailed ahead to let them know that we would be celebrating our 20th Anniversary and that I would be proposing again. The food and drinks were over the top good. And the most memorable experience about this restaurant is our server, Hannah. She was so nice and she attended to our every need. I had a special cake with a large ring in it made and when I brought it in, Hannah even took care of having it sliced for us. And, we were given complimentary ice cream to go with our cake since it was such a special occasion. There’s just so much to tell. Everyone at the resort and restaurant was so nice to us. We will definitely be back. Thanks for marking this a special evening for us!!! I recommend this place to anyone who desires only the best. Wow!
We had been to the Gallery Restaurant for dinner a couple of times and it was very enjoyable. Food and service was excellent for our evening meals, but this was the first time we had visited for breakfast and were disappointed. We were expecting excellence and just got average. The food and service for breakfast was just like other hotels that serve the morning meal. Doubt we will be back before dinner anytime in the future.
Great restaurant with great food and great service
Wonderful experience-top to bottom. Would love to come back for another memorable dinner.
We loved The Gallery and Hannah our waitress made us feel so special. We enjoyed it so much we went back the following evening and it was just as good if not better
My husband and I went to Gallery for restaurant week. The food was good but the dessert was a joke. He got an ice pop as his dessert and my dessert was a panna cotta with french toast crunch. Expected something a little more sophisticated for the money. Main courses were good. My husband had scallops which weren't quite as fresh as the waiter led them to be. I had filet mignon and loved it.
out for a night with friends for dinner 1st time there and will return for another night out.
very nice place over all.
Staff at the Gallery is worth the trip alone. Every touch point with various staff was a great experience from the bartender, to the gentleman who brought us limes, lemons and cucumbers for our water, to the individual who brought the selections off bread, to our server. All made it a great evening!
Wonderful service and the food outstanding. I recommend eating at the Gallery for dinner
There was a very "energetic" group of approximately 30 people next to us. However, your staff did everything they could to make our dinner enjoyable. We have been there before and will be back. Actually, planning on coming for brunch this Sunday.
It was very loud - could not hear my business guests. Steak was marginal - couldn't eat the vegetable. It seemed they were not cooked at all. Service was good - best part of the exp. Wine menu is an Ipad - ugh! I look at a desktop all day - I want to get away from technology at dinner. Nothing special at all.
It was restaurant week so we all ordered from the special menu. The overall feeling was the food was good, but not the best we've ever had. Meals were reasonably priced from the restaurant week menu but the service was a bit slow and the wine prices are ridiculously high.
We had a 7:00 Reservation , we arrived at exactly 7:00, were told it would be about 10 minutes for seating, were told to wait in the bar for our table. We had just been in the bar having a drink! We waited at the door for approximately 10 minutes, noticed there was a booth set for two open the whole time, we were later seated at that booth! Why weren’t we seated at 7:00 in the open booth - I had requested a booth when I made the reservation. It’s a mystery! One we did not appreciate!!
We liked the dinner. It was Charlotte Restaurant Week. The wine was good. The service was great. The food was a little unusual, but good. We like the formal Tea for Two at this location. The Tea is better. Reservations required for the Tea. It's a chick thing. At least one month in advance!
This is one of the few nice restaurants I know with tables nicely spaced and noise level low to moderate. Thank you!
I am not a fan of the chesterfield style ( back goes straight up).. booths, and my back ached.
My husband and I had a Staycation at Ballantyne and had two dinners during Restaurant Week. Value of meals was excellent, but the rib-eye($10 up-charge) was disappointing. Texture and taste were ok, not great. Maybe because it was Sunday?
Salads were good. Desserts too, but limited with 2 non- chocolate options. But both nights, exceptions were made. Nice!
The bar next to restaurant, where we dined Night 2, was well designed and our seats were comfortable.
Restaurant decor, like hotel’s is nice but dated.
Breakfast here was good but menu needs updating. Hollandaise with Benedict delicious! Buttermilk Pancakes were ok but did not have much buttermilk taste. Very thick and I though requested added berries the amount of blueberries was skimpy.
The worst thing about breakfast - the Maple Syrup” in this “ Luxury Propery” is only 65% maple syrup!! 35% cane sugar. Nooooooooo.
The restaurant like the hotel is nice but needs needs some updating and improvements.
Went for Restaurant Week. Busy as expected. Entre was a fabulous salmon but salad and dessert courses we not so good. Salad was "sold" as a Kale salad with a lot of goodies. What appeared in front of me was a baby arugula salad with a little goat cheese and very light dressing. I told the server a mistake had been made and she snapped up my plate to take it back to the kitchen. She returned 2 minutes later , dropped my salad plate back down and said the chef said it was kale. I gave up at this point. This is not rocket science....They simply didn't have the kale and passed off the substitute with an attitude and hoping the customer would not be the wiser. Tot6ally not ot acceptable at a place like this.!!! For dessert, there were two very odd choices so I choice the least of two evils hoping for the best. It was terrible and the gallery should be ashamed. I've had many good meals here but this night was not one of them as two of my 3 courses were a bomb. :(
Elegant and the food was good.
