Gallery Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
The Gallery experience was awesome! My filet was great and cooked perfectly and the overall experience was great for my wife and I celebrating our anniversary after a long deployment with the Air Force. Thanks Gallery staff for making this an enjoyable experience!!
My wife and I celebrated out 11 anniversary and received the recommendation from a friend who lives in the area. The food was amazing and the waiter was extremely nice and knowledgeable. I think his name was Michael (white male with a beard and northern accent).
came for my birthday dinner, the waitress was excellent, but the food, though innovative was not so great. The meat was charred, and this was not mentioned on the menu, so was it intentional or not? The sides are expensive, and you should be given a choice of a half side for single diners..the mushrooms were plain ole sautéed mushrooms, although there were a lot. the 6 small sweet potato bite size pieces were plain, the dates were overdone and dried out, the sorgum was tasteless. However, I was quite happy to, upon asking, to get some gluten free bread with my dinner, but that was not mentioned on the menu, which it should be.
My wife and I went to this restaurant because it’s where we got married here a year ago. Our server was Hannah. She was attentive to getting us whatever we wanted so we have a more enjoyable experience. My wife loved all of her food. Me not so much. Crab cakes were great. The Carolina trout I had was small and bland. But my wife was happy so that’s all that mattered to me. We are gonna make this place a tradition. It’s where our life started together and that’s where it will end.
The Ballantyne area Unfortunately does not have many destination restaurants however has a plethora of corporate buildings nearby. The Gallery restaurant offers a nice venue to support business dinner for those who do not want to drive Uptown or to the Southpark area.
The bar area is not too stuffy and offers nice cocktails along with classic favorites, I would highly recommend the Marker’s Mark Old Fashion! In the bar area, you will find people from more business attire to “right off the golf course” wear.
The main dinning area offers white linen tablecloth which gives a nod to the more upscaled flare. The menu has a good selection for most and changes by the season.
The service is very good but can get a little intrusive If you are trying to have a business meeting with customers. This probably can be handled beforehand if the staff is told prior to the dinner.
All in all, very good experience.
Great brunch spot right in the heart of Ballantyne. Outdoor patio seating overlooking the hotel was perfect for our group of four. The service was prompt and impeccable. The menu had a great variety and every dish tasted equally amazing. I would highly recommended the French toast that is stuffed with Nutella and tasted heavenly.
We had a great time and will be back soon.
I am an avid traveler and was disappointed with the dinner at The Gallery. When we arrived, the hostess asked us to sit in the bar until the table was ready. She then forgot that she told us this and after an extended wait, we asked about the table. She then said she had been trying to call us to tell us the table was ready. She forgot that she asked us to have a seat in the bar. We ordered a bottle of wine and had to take our opened bottle and glasses to the table ourselves. This is a five star restaurant (I thought)... The food was not five star status! The frisée salad was outright horrible. I can't believe this is even on the menu. The soup was good. I ordered the scallop dish which was very good and my husband ordered the bone in ribeye which was ok but not spectacular. This meal set us back $300 including tip and wine and it certainly did not meet my expectations for exception service or quality. I think the day Forbes magazine showed up for review of this place, there must have been a different chef and staff. Disappointed!!!
My wife and I enjoy dining at the " Gallery Restaurant". There was a slight mix-up with our online reservation, but the hostess was very accommodating while things were straightened out. Their menu is a bit small, but my wife and I enjoyed our meals and dessert. I got the Herbed Gnocchi, and she got the Pan Seared NC Trout. Both were very good!
I would recommend the Gallery for a date night, or nice quiet evening out.
Husband and I went for Queen's Feast to try a new place and it didn't disappoint. From the cocktails to the delicious, deconstructed desserts, the whole meal was incredible. And the staff were friendly and professional. We'll definitely be going back for a regular menu dinner!
Absolutely amazing! From start to finish our server, Juan, was perfect! Attentive without intruding, had great recommendations; and the food was absolutely amazing! So good I went back the next day for the caprese Gazpacho again. It wasn't on the lunch menu but they were able to accommodate me. Be tween the Gazpacho and the gnocchi, this place has my heart and appetite!
Relaxing in the bar in quiet privacy, good service, picking from the bar or dinner menu couldn't be better. You've never had better corn and crab soup - you'll want to take a quart or gallon home! This is very fine dining with fresh high-grade provisions and a creative chef. Tuna and swordfish were exquisite and prepared as I requested and served with a smile and "thank you."
Pricing is a well kept secret. We dined there 3 nights in a row, choosing appetizers and sharing an entree, with drinks, for $45-$70 a night. It's cheaper and better than any chain restaurant serving high prices, factory recipes, loud noise and mediocre food, at best. We also support local business when we skip those chain restaurants. What a difference!
Gallery Restaurant was an absolute treat for the senses - especially taste and sight! The incredible art gallery is enough to hold one's attention throughout the entire meal, especially if you have any interest at all in contemporary fine art - and of course the menu is breathtakingly thought out down to the display of each dish.
My dad and I enjoyed a nice catch up meal together there this past weekend and were so impressed by the flavors and beautiful presentation of each dish...and although it was restaurant week the portions were full, too. To top it off, we had a fantastic server!
Bravo, I truly hope to be able to return and enjoy another special meal there soon!
We enjoyed the Queen's Feast menu that Gallery composed for Charlotte Restaurant Week. We had the Grilled Peaches and Cornbread salad and the Local Harvest salad, both of which were perfect, especially with the proper amount of dressing that they were tossed in. We both had the grilled swordfish, which was cooked to medium, as described, so the fish was still moist and flaky. The Pineapple Right-Side up dessert was a deconstructed pineapple dessert, and the cherry sorbet in the dessert was divine! The only drawback at this restaurant is the high ceiling which transmits noise easily. It was not relaxing to hear the diners who were seated four tables from us!
Excellent meal !
We have had dinner here previously and were pleased with our return.
The occasion was for Queen's Feast week.
The great thing was that although the selections were part of the special menu, the portion and quality were exactly the same as any other occasion!
It was very good and the service by Michael was excellent. The cocktails were superb as expected. Michael was very helpful in our selections and overall were very pleased with the evening.
The Gallery is now our special place for dinner and entertaining guests who might be visiting.
