Our table for five was in the lounge area of the grill thereby affording us a quiet atmosphere in which to converse. Everyone very much enjoyed their choice for brunch. The steak (with eggs) was exceptionally tender and delicious.

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary over Sunday brunch at the University of Toronto's Gallery Grill...a lovely Hart House setting overlooking the Great Hall - the venue for our 1980 wedding reception! The dining experience was exceptional in terms of our menu selections as well as the impeccable and attentive service - fanatic attention to detail. We look forward to celebrating future family events at the Gallery Grill! Thanks so much.

A beautiful meal, lovely decor and very good service, polite and friendly.
The only con - the portions are small, all of them. I had soup, mains and dessert and all were small. I'm not looking for large portions, but a little more of each would make the bill, >$100 without drinks, more reasonable.

This charming old place with high ceilings is a bit noisy.

Always a pleasure with exceptional service. It did feel a bit hurried perhaps because of the midweek daytime reso and having two servers wait on you feels a bit unnecessary and confusing.

Waiter was very brash and a bit harried and was not accurate in describing a refreshment. So I felt too intimidated to tell anyone that my rainbow trout was not cooked at all in the middle.

The atmosphere cannot be beat. Hart House is a lovely building set smack in the middle of the U of T campus. It is a trifle noisy but that is due to the acoustics of this stone building, completed just after World War One. My only criticism deals with service - a server who promised a spoon and didn't deliver. Also promised bread and didn't deliver. But I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a unique dining experience downtown.

Lovely table snug against the fireplace, rather than the noisier main dining room. Very attentive service and we both enjoyed our meals which were different from what we regularly cook at home. Look forward to visiting for brunch.

Always great to visit Gallery Grill. Service is attentive and the options are good and delicious. However, there was an error on the menu and felt this should have been mentioned when they were given to us not when the server took our order.

Brian was a greater sever. Excellent setting. Great value.

Food service and beauty of surroundings was all great. Only complaint is that the room is very noisy. Next time I would request a table in the bar which Is much quieter

Table service was OK, but perhaps a little slow and not attentive. maybe the university crowd is a little laissez-faire on this.

Went to Gallery Grill on a Sunday during Winterlicious for lunch. We sat in the front room, near the wood burning fireplace, listening to the live orchestra practice downstairs. The ambiance of the hidden space was absolutely superb. The food was also fantastic. From our two meals, the standouts were: Baked Chèvre salad, the Crispy rice cakes were outstanding, and would happily eat nothing but Lemon Blueberry Pavlova for a week. Great experience!

I loved the amazing ambience. The food was delicious. I saw an artist doing a portrait, an orquestra doing their rehearsal , one bridge in her big day. Uoft is a Canadian symbol...a perfect combination between the innovation and the traditional....

Was a very good lunch .. again. Enjoyed my Winterlicious visit.

The Gallery Grill is a great place for lunch because it is consistently good.

Soup to sandwich to dessert, all awesome food experiences. Recommend the Arctic char and the creme brûlée!

Gallery Grill is a hidden treasure. This fine restaurant is tucked away in an historic building at the University of Toronto. Great spot for meeting with friends and colleagues. An inventive, tasty menu using locally-sourced products. Very nice wine list too. The bar even has blazing fireplace to welcome you on a chilly day.

We were three guys lunching after our swim. Every one of us was very happy with each and every food item. My cassoulet was delicious. The soups were good, the service was top-notch, and we can hardly wait to some again.

I found the food and atmosphere appropriate to the occasion which was brunch with family members. However I was disappointed with the waiter. He asked me to hang up my own coat, was in a hurry to take a place setting away before the other guests arrived and was stingy with information and suggestions about the meal. You'd think I was doing him a favour and this is an expensive place.

We go as a family every year just before Christmas and we have never been disappointed.

The food is excellent, but there's not much of it. I had the Sea Breem. Even for a light eater, it would have been a small portion. There were a few salad leaves, a table-spoon of lentils and a few roasted carrots. The highlight was the Crème Brule, but at $11 was over-priced compared to market.

Superb, high quality food every time. Gallery Grill NEVER dissapoints. Wehad the cheese starter with lavash which was very good. There are so many delicious sounding dishes that it was very hard to choose a main - i had the sea bream - delicate and very flavourful - loved the crispy lentils. This was followed by a classic Canuck dessert..... the maple creme brulee - out of this world!!! One of our group had the carrot cake dulce de leche - again, absolutely phenom. Our server was absolutely a delight and made very good rcommendations. Can't wait to return!

Everyone enjoyed their meals, though pricey. As a retiree of OISE/UT, we all remembered meals

An excellent place for lunch. My companions and I were very impressed with the service, food and location.

Lovely atmosphere, and food was delicious. Attentive, but not interruptive, service - appreciated when deep in conversation. A treat to dine here always.

You can't beat that room and the brunch was very nice. The waiters are pleasant and very professional (a cut above).

ALWAYS a wonderful experience at the Gallery grill. Suzanne Baby's menu is incredible and celebrates in season foods and local fare. Jerry and the team are such wonderful ambassadors. Can't wait to return later this week!
