Gallaher's Bistro is an eatery and coffee house serving a selection of European and Irish cuisine. The restaurant is located in the D'Olier Chambers. The chambers are rich in history and rich in architecture. Hosting a variety of menus means there is something suitable for a coffee break, or something just as suited to an A la carte dinner. Situated just 3 - 5 minute walk from the central theatres Gallaher's is centrally located in the south side of the city.

We booked through open table and when we got there we were told there was no table because we "booked online " just before we got there (30 mins before]. Then the hostess took my name down and said that she would call me if anything opened up. She never called. She basicaly treated us as if we were a walk in even though we had a reservation. I normally wouldn't write a bad review but not honoring a booking because it was online is outrageous. They shouldn't use the open table booking service if they can't honor the reservations made.

Often passed this restaurant but this was the first time I was ever in. Was organising a lunch with some friends and we said we would try here. The dining room is really nice, airy and divided over two levels there is plenty of space. The staff were friendly and easy going and professional at the same time. We shared some olives and bruschetta to start, classic but just very tasty. I had the steak sambo for the main course, usually restaurants don't even take a temperature for this because it usually is very thin. I asked for medium rare, and it was! very thick, perfectly cooked and juicy:) Very impressed. The chips were good although slightly greasy. Will definitely return again!
