Ridiculously long wait for a salad and burger.
We arrived at 5:50 for our reservations at 6:00. It took about 25 minutes to get our drinks and then one drink was completely wrong. It was supposed to be sangria and was something totally different. So the then that had to be taken back and we had to wait longer for that drink. Our waiter said the kitchen was backed up so we anticipated our dinner to take a little longer. However, we didn’t get our food until about 7:30. Two parties that had gotten quite a bit later than us us had already gotten their meals. Then, when we got our meals, our 4 of our meals were cold...... the food really was good but it was not warm. The manager came over and offered to give us all complimentary desserts, and after 20 mins we still had not gotten those. We left, very unhappy. It really was a terrible experience, and I have not had that for years or possibly every. They seem to have a lot of issues they need to work out and get things figured out. I will never go back. It was absolutely absurd. I don’t know how you can get so many things wrong or messed up.
Loved the concept. Food and service exceptional.
I would highly recommend Galla Park to everyone. The food, the drinks, the service, and the atmosphere were all impeccable. They accommodate small and large groups, and everyone is so professional. Not to mention, I love staying after dinner and into the nightlife because it is so much fun. Definitely a place to go if you’re in the Cincinnati area!
We liked everything, but the atmosphere was too loud. It was hard to hold a conversation across the table. The food was great, though.
Service put this restaurant over the top with suggestions and helping guide us through our evening.
Had a little get together with some friends and was blown away by the choices! From Octopus to King Crab Avocado to my new favorite Cowboy Ribeye, everything was delicious! Servers were on point with their wine knowledge. The vibe and atmosphere was one of a kind! As we finished our meals we didn’t even realize that a live DJ had started! Instead of leaving to continue our night we stayed for the late night festivities! All in one game changer!
Restaurant was dead.
Apetizer was obviously microwaved.
Some food was cold.
Drink were poorly mixed.
Brought a group of 9 on a Monday night, would have expected much better
Everything was great. We had a guest with food allergies and the staff was very responsive and attentive.
Decent food, just okay service.
A weird place, sits between a fun lively pregame restaurant and a more upscale place. Servers seemed to not be trained well, and customer communication skills were lacking.
Dining at Galla Park was an amazing experience! Everything from the food, to the service and the environment in its entirety was outstanding! Would definitely recommend making a reservation for an important night out or stopping in on a week night just for a laid back evening!
Galla Park hits it out of the park when it comes to everything. Food, beverage, nightlife, ambiance, etc. 10/10 would recommend.
I personally don’t think there is a better restaurant to go with friends! The atmosphere is fun yet classy. I have been there quite a few times now and have never been disappointed with their food! All the staff is very friendly and helpful. I definitely will continue to go here whether it be a birthday, business meeting, or just a friendly outing!! Yum!!
Good service with excellent lunch options for all palettes.
The food was excellent but our waiter was not very knowledgeable and had trouble answering many of our questions. Also, the alcoholic drinks were very expensive for a cocktail that was nothing special. We thought is was odd that they were not very busy at 7:00 pm on Friday evening. Because the food was good, we will try it again.
Great location to grab a meal before a concert or a game.
Food was very good. Service was horrible and no one seemed to care. Our party was getting ready to walk out when someone finally came over to take our order. Then at the end, the server ran my credit card for someone else’s check! This place needs to get it together on the service end...
We had a great experience here tonight. The staff was upbeat, friendly, and the hostess was very welcoming. Our waitress, Olivia, was very sweet and efficient. The food was great and the Mac n cheese is to die for .. the only thing my husband and I didn't like was how loud the music was. I know the atmosphere was lively, but I could barely hear him through the music. Over all we enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend it!
I’m not sure this place really wants to be a restaurant. It is obviously more interested in being a night club, especially with the loud music going the whole time you eat. We were the only party in the restaurant area the night we were there. The food was decent the service was decent but the dim lighting and loud music made it anything but enjoyable. I think they need to make up their mind what they want to do
Too loud! Good service and food.
Made a reservation through Open Table for 6:15 on Sunday 9/1 before going to the WEBN Fireworks...Got there and went inside and the girl taking reservations had us go back outside because that is where she had her tablet for the table set ups....Turns out there was hardly anyone there which was pretty strange for one of Cincinnati's biggest events with 500,000 people on the riverfront...This was our first time trying this place since Crave closed...We were offered a high bar table even though the reservation said standard table...The music near the bar was so loud you couldn't even hear each other talk...We asked about tables in the back but every table was under a speaker so it made no difference...We were asked about eating on the patio but they hadn't cleaned it off from the recent rain...There was a DJ playing the music and we were told they would not be turning it down...For a place that is supposed to be known for goid food this environment was totally unacceptable unless you wanted to just drink and Disco!!...We left and went to Joella's around the corner which we both love!!...Note: All the other restaurants on The Banks were packed!!...
Food was very good and they have a great wine selection
Food was great, it's a perfect variety on the menu for any group. Fun atmosphere and great service! I highly recommend the king crab & avocado... You won't be disappointed.
Waited 15 minutes for a waiter. Host was outside front door and stayed outside despite the fact I was inside. Place was very disappointing!
Great service and atmosphere
Food was ok but not great. I would definitely try it again before I could say I didn’t like the place.
Was incredibly loud for a dinner
Great and fast service. Food was very good.
Very disappointing. Online looked like a more “fine dining” experience...but...clearly it was really trying to be a “nightclub”. Musics (so loud you could not have table conversation, was a weird “mix tape” style. New song starting every 15-30 seconds. Super annoying. Could barely hear the waiter, to place orders. Food was a mixed bag. Chicken sandwich wasn’t very good. Short rib grilled cheese was fantastic. Truffle fires...didn’t notice any truffle.
Overall, just another place trying to charge $115.00 for. Tomahawk steak but music and chairs designed for a nightclub for teenagers.
Poor choice in my part.
This is my feedback after the third visit with the same experience. Level of serving staff needs to improve and increase server assistance when there are local, big events such as a Reds game. Always painfully slow getting greeted and getting initial drinks. If you make improvements on these you will thrive. Customer service is key so hopefully you step it up moving forward.
I was surprised that the restaurant was a part of RESTAURANT WEEK. The restaurant presents itself as a sports bra.
Wonderful atmosphere and experience prior to enjoying a reds game.
This is the est food on the Banks. The location is great! The venue is beautiful! I would recommend Galla Park to anyone!
We were able to get in right on time and get out on schedule to make the game . thank you
This place is not quite sure what it should be. It sits across from the Great American Ballpark, so it should be really easy to have a wining business model here - cater to the baseball/sports crowds. Instead, they have a mix of super loud music, clubby interior, tv’s above the bar (one thing right), and just mediocre food. If you’re in the area, you’re better off going to Moerlein or Yard House.
Poor service, wrong order (twice), and when they finally brought out the correct food it wasn’t cooked.
We had special reserve coupon, so the value was excellent. Our food was exceptional and our service was excellent. Our waiter , Austin was fabulous in that my husband left his credit card in the credit cardholder and Austin actually caught us on the sidewalk!!!!
Our only disappointment was the noise level —music—was very loud.
Food is superb. Mac and cheese was outstanding, and the filet was perfectly medium rare. The waitstaff was terrible, though. Refills on tea and soft drinks were nonexistent. Music was so loud we couldn’t hold a conversation.
Food was good but the music SO OVERWHELMING! Not a place to go chat with your date, for sure. Seems like all wait staff (females) were really scantily clad. Not sure if they are trying to be a night club, upscale restaurant or something else.
The salad was good enough but would order carryout to avoid staying inside for long.
I booked Galla for my boyfriends surprise birthday dinner for about 15 of us. They went above and beyond. They gave us a table that didn’t ruin the surprise when we walked in, had two serves for the table and went above and beyond when delivering the cake. Service was amazing and the staff was extremely nice!
A really good experience. Great food and excellent service, we will be back!
