Good food, good value, nice and casual
We always enjoy our experience at Galini. The food never disappoints. Especially delicious are the chicken kabobs and the Galini shrimp. The ekmek dessert is like eating a sweet cloud. Yum!
They had a summer special for 2 with a glass of wine for $49.95.
You get a choice of Hummus, Tzatziki, or Melitzanosalata: Roasted eggplant spread with herbs SERVED WITH WARM PITA BREAD We chose the Melitzanosalata , which was very good. Next a choice of soup or salad, we got on eof each, GREEK SALAD with romaine lettuce, feta cheese, tomatoes, cucumber ,peppercinis, dolmades ,onions, and olives and Greek Chicken lemon soup. Both just ok.
For mains, we selected Mixed Grill , lamb chop. Chicken, gyro, and beef and the Pan-seared Branzino, lemon, capers, cherry tomatoes, and a white wine sauce over rice from a list of items.
The lamb chop was tasteless, the gyro meat was dry and the branzino was just fair.
For dessert we got the Chocolate mousse, which was very good but i am sure they brought it.
Once was enough.
Galini is among our favorite restaurants. The food is excellent. We have eaten almost everything on the menu. The Galini shrimp is especially delicious with orzo. The chicken kabob is juicy and flavorful.
Service is friendly and efficient.
I recommend this restaurant highly.
We were celebrating my wife’s birthday and Galini’s Greek Restaurant was the perfect place. The food was outstanding home cooked authentic Greek cuisine made from scratch. The service was first rate along with the ambiance. Adding a special touch, the owner and chef Yannis made a special appearance at our table upon the conclusion of our meal. He was rewarded with a round of applause for a job well done.... and we were rewarded with an experience we will long remember. We hope to be back soon. You can’t go wrong at Galini’s... whether or not you love Greek food!
The food and service was great. We ate here on a slow night,
so it was quiet and the waiter was terrific. They ran a special on
branzino and the fish was excellent. We have eaten here a few times,
and will continue to patronize this restaurant. Actually it has the best
Greek food in Boca Raton.
We go often and have enjoyed every meal. It is a friendly place with excellent food and service.
I knew we were in trouble on a week day evening when we walked in @ 6pm and only ONE table was occupied. Long story short, the food explained it too. My advice, stay away!
What a wonderful find. Located in an unassuming strip mall, this restaurant was exactly what we have been seeking - authentic, simple Greek cuisine. The menu is extensive and everything we had was delicious. Big Nic, Little Nic and the rest of the staff was welcoming, friendly and attentive. You could feel their pride and dedication. Highly recommend you give it a try.
Servers were friendly and courteous. Enjoyed the traditional Greek spreads with pita as app. Main courses had good flavors but small portions. Shrimp Santorini: only 5 medium size shrimp with an abundance of thick, heavy tomato sauce. Almost like the consistency of a stew. Lamb in a clay pot was tasty but skimpy portions, as well.
Might try again, but will go to restaurants in Ft. Lauderdale first.
The lamb chop dinner was a bit skimpy. Very small chops.
The evening was fine until I fell leaving our booth which had one step up. I missed the step and fell onto a table. I have been in pain ever since. The staff was very attentive when this happened.
Those steps are quite dangerous.
Had a nice time, but the waitress was a nuisance. She constantly interrupted us, breaking into conversations to say “everything ok here”.
Twice is nice. A hundred times is ridiculous.
She wasn’t busy, so she must have thought this was what she was supposed to do. It was awful.
The ambiance was very nice, service excellent and the food...! Everything fresh (had the delicious hummus accompanied with homemade hot pita bread and the gigantic Galini grilled meat platter) and well served. Even the espresso coffee was remarkable - first time ever I was served a hot and tasty strong one! Definitely thumbs up for the chef/owner and his team.
Server was very accommodating. Food was tasty and well prepared except for roasted potatoes which were old.
More of a seafood restaurant than a Greek place. Service was terrible - had to wait for everything - drinks, food, napkins, etc. Appetizers were delicious - dips, grilled octopus, saganaki, but salads were tiny and no grape leaves?? Probably won't return - too pricey for fair service and not a lot of Greek choices.
Galini is like taking a trip to the Greek Islands. The food is wonderful and my party had a great time, never being ignored by staff, and sharing stories of the Greek Isles. Galini is a wonderful surprise.
We all thought the food was very authentic and fresh. The server Christopher was friendly and professional. We each tried each other’s dishes and I believe the shrimp Santorini is in the top five all are good served hot and a wonderful authentic atmosphere. It was so good we went back the next day
One of four orders not available - server didn’t know. One dish was so so. Most food very good, server a pleasure. Value good.
The food was consistently good - we all had different dishes and each one was delicious. I like the ambiance and the noise level is fine - easy to hear each other.
Very welcoming environment. Great lamb chops!
Great service from Daniella! Branzino was wonderful. The dessert was amazing! Ekmek... the best Greek dessert I've ever tasted!
Food arrived very late & not as ordered. Swordfish was inedible.
Lamb chops perfectly done
Baklava just ok
Everyone’s meal in our party of 5 was very good. Salads fresh with good dressing. Grilled shrimp excellent.
Above average Greek cuisine available at Galini at reasonable prices.
Loved Gallini!! A wonderful find for delicious Greek Mediterranean style food!! Lovely atmosphere, cordial and warm wait staff and amazing dinners had by all of us!!!!!
I can’t wait to go back again!!!!
Familiar with Chef from dining at Rafina. Food was good as I remembered, but ambiance was a bit more casual than I’d have hoped. Service from Dmitri was good.
Food quality good, ample potions. Nice to see people coming here. Staff friendly and welcoming. I will come back
Solid. Nothing amazing. The shrimp zaganaki, one of tonight’s specials, was phenomenal!
The food was good , not excellent . We took the village salad : tomatoes were too cold and not ripe. Dressing didn’t taste home made but bought on the market. Usually just good olive oil, lemon juice and oregano. Chicken kebab were dry ( over cooked) and again the marinade tasted artificial , not home made.
Service was good . Restaurant very clean but felt a little bit like a cafeteria . All the table are aligned and nothing to make it a little bit cosy . We will return because there is not many greek restaurant in Florida. If the chef worked at Milos I am sure he can do better . He has no competition in this area ...
Good delicious but service not so good
Worst expertise of my life - food was horrible mushy and overlooked - almost like it was served for the second or third time.
This place needs a new cook and quality food to prepare a meal.
Don’t really know how it was as we never got a table. Just like in Seinfeld, it great you can take a reservation, but can you keep a reservation? We had a 7:00 pm reservation and were told the table was not ready. It seems 4 other parties walked up and were seated, looking to be familiar with the owners. We were just totally ignored. We asked 3 times our table Would be ready, and nothing. Front of the house was a total debacle. No one to greet patrons. People just meandering around looking for someone to greet? Disappointed as the food looked good.
No Tzatziki Sauce served with 4 small pieces of pita. Had to pay $6.00 for Sauce which waiter brought to the table without bread. Lamb Chops had to sent back. Ordered medium and came back raw. The restaurant itself was pretty but the quality of food is more important. It was worth a try but not going back and will not recommend.
Lamb chops for me , and sole for the ladies... terriffic again
Great little neighborhood restaurant. Both the food and staff are outstanding!!
Good service and hospitable servers made this place exceptional. We were enjoying a reunion dinner and the staff was patient and efficient
Delicious meal, fabulous dessert that I could not resist and an absolutely lovely staff. Family owned restaurant, very warm and welcoming. I highly recommended and will certainly be back.
The food was just so so. We were 4 people. I ordered the jumbo shrimp but when it came, they were grilled inside the shells. It didn’t say that on the menu. That became messy removing them. However they were tasty. We were going to order desert but when we asked for 3 different items on the menu, they didn’t have them. So no desert for us. The service was good and the ambiance was pretty. The consensus was not to return.
Great place to go before the Wick. Service and food 👍
