   It was my first time and it was ok. For me having to put in a reservation though I would think it would be a more Quiet ambiance, there was over 10 people next to us that was completely very loud and it was hard to hear what meats the servers was serving because of the large noises crowd. Good was fine and very good.

   We had been talking about how disappointed we were hearing that Galeto was closed because of the pandemic. Finding out recently that it reopened, the guys grabbed the first opportunity to gather here again. We weren't disappointed! Had a great time with really good food.

   Unfortunately our return to Galeto did not conform to the original experience of a few years ago. While the servers were pleasant and attentive, they seemed inexperienced with serving meat as it’s done in a churrascaria. Additionally several of the meats were tough and gristly. The buffet was better: fresh, great variety.

   Had a late reservation but arrived a bit early and the restaurant was mostly empty. The wait staff were tired and communicated it. It showed in the attentiveness to our table. Our waitress checked on us twice and we had to go find water for ourselves. It’s not a place I would patronize again but the young person being celebrated enjoyed it. The place is pricey, I wrote them that it was a graduation dinner and they never mentioned or did anything to acknowledge that it was a special occasion.

   I made reservations for Mother’s Day. Upon entering, the hostess was very pleasant and sweet. She however did not seat us and had the busboy seat us. There were ample tables/seating available but he passed it all and sat us at the last table in the back next to the noisy kitchen. I think it’s rude to have patrons sit all the way in the back where the kitchen is and employees are coming and going when there’s plenty of seating elsewhere. He rather hastily put the menu in front of us and left. The server came immediately, explained the experience so fast that I couldn’t even keep up or hear her and just left after asking us if we wanted water. She didn’t even ask if we wanted to order any other drinks nor gave us any opportunity to ask her for a drink other than water. The meats that came around were extremely bloody, and all cold and old. Most of it was just purely fat and no meat. I wanted a drink other than water, but the server walked by our table numerous times but never stopped to ask us if we needed anything or made any eye contact. She was very present for other tables because o was watching and trying to get her attention. The whole experience wasn’t great and I’m very disappointed. I wanted to make it a special for my mom but Galeto didn’t share the same sentiment. Very subpar experience and not the friendliest or attentive.

   Great food and ambiance! Lamb wasn't ready until like 1 hr after they opened, so we waited a while for that... But, everything we had was amazing! The only thing they're missing was is the grilled pinapple!

    Food was absolutely terrible. Meat was either burnt to a crisp or still mooing. Meat quality was sub par, Service was ehhh. Slow, but friendly staff. Salad bar was depressing. The only thing that was good was the sparkling water. I really wanted to like this place, but it’s a definite no from me.

    One of my favorite Brazilian steak houses out of the few that I’ve been to. Service is good. I like all the different cuts of meat. Don’t sleep on the Salmon!

    The waitress was a sweetheart. I have to say everything else failed. We were not being topped with water unless we would call for their attention. The meat service is stingy comparing to other Brazilian Steakhouses around the Bay area. The meat itself could have had some more of the Brazilian flavors. Buffet area is small again comparing to others but was good food.The atmosphere was pleasant. Unfortunately we will not be retuning. We will stick with Galpao Gaucho -Walnut Creek or Espetus Brazilian Steakhouse.

    This was the first time our party of 4 had been to a Brazilian steakhouse. They were out of the sausage which I wanted to try. The food was very expensive and we mostly got the outside singed parts of the meats. Chicken was very dry. We all agreed we would not go there again, even though some of the beef was enjoyed by the two men in our group. They would have rather had a nice steak meal for half the price.

    My first impression was the fact that this did not look or feel like any authentic or quality Brazilian steakhouse I had ever been to. The buffet was obviously sitting out for quite some time (cold salmon, thick film over the olives, bad lettuce). We paid $150 for two meals, a bottle of water, and two drinks. I didn't get my drink for 30 minutes as they forgot it but brought my husband's timley. Unfortunately, after about 15 minutes, the meat servers start to avoid you and not even visit your table. This was unfortunate because we do not eat port (which was about 50% of the offerings) so we were able to taste about 5 meats. Biggest issue? The whole night after we were both ridiculously sick. Thanks for the 25% off coupon but we will never be back!

    The chicken was dry. Garlic beef was tender and tasty. The lamb was over cooked. The salmon and potato salad was delicious. Dessert was good.

    Very nice place. Food was excellent. Parking is a problem. I think soft jazz playing would top it off. I thought it was a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Certainly will be back!

    the restaurante were full ,the asian waitress we have to stand hand to call her, drinks full of ice , David the meat guy was excellent, very friendly and professional,but i will come back because i like this place just to many people in 1 night, our reservation was for 7:30 our table was ready at 8:10 pm 10 min later we got waitress,20 min wait for bread and fry banana

    My favorite restaurant in Oakland. It was so missed during the pandemic. Good to be back home at my favorite table, and with my favorites foods. It's a comfortable place to relax, take one's time eating, enjoy the music and company.

    This was an absolute nightmare. It was louder than a airplane hanger (no acoustic tiles). No one took our drink order. 15 minute wait between meat delivery and the portions were comically small. Most meat was under or over cooked. We were obviously uncomfortable the entire time and the server (who spoke to us exactly three times) gave us a ‘25% discount for the next visit’. You’d have to pay me to eat here again.

    I am soooo happy that Galeto is back open. I was worried as I thought this place would not reopen at this location. Same great food and top notch service. The owner Eli is a gem. Very hospitable and kind. Our mezcal cocktails were perfect. We will continue to come here as long as they remain here. Cheers

    Took my family on 3-12-2022 to celebrate my baby sister earning her MBA degree. Our reservations were for 5pm and we were seated immediately upon arrival. Overall, we had a great time. Excellent choices at the salad bar. The service and ambiance we're on point. The servers brought lots of meat choices to the table on super long skewers. The one disappointment was that all of the beef was cooked medium rare. For those of us that enjoy the temperature of beef well done, we were not able to eat the beef. The servers tried to find sections of the beef that were not so rare but there was none to be found. I encourage the chef/owner to try to prepare some of the beef to a temperature of well done ideally or at least medium well so that we don't have to forego the beef next time. Fortunately, there were other meat options that were all very good such as the bacon-wrapped chicken breast, the sausage, my sisters enjoyed the pork ribs and my niece loved the lamb chops. Although we were disappointed about the beef, we will definitely come back. Thanks Galeto Brazilian Steakhouse!

    We were pleasantly surprised at the high quality of meat served, it was all outstanding. The salad bar was way more than a salad bar, there were lots of dishes that complemented the meat perfectly. Wait staff were very polite and attentive. We found it to be a fun evening full of tasty surprises.
