Galeto Brazilian Steakhouse - Oakland
Our concept is based on an endless dining experience that features two masterpieces: a unique Brazilian barbecue selection of rotisserie meats and a Gourmet Table area displaying signature dishes.
The meat parade holds up to 14 different cuts of beef, chicken, lamb, pork, and sausage all served on skewers and carved tableside on the Rodizio style. The Gourmet bar area displays 45+ exquisite signature dishes from designed salads, charcuterie meats, cheese selections, hot dishes to seafood.
Accompanying the food we have a vast wine list of local Californian wines, South American and European options to your taste. Also, make sure you save room for our artisan dessert menu that will make you dream of it for days with authentic Brazilian options.
my first visit to gelato with my wife on her birthday was spectacular they treated the whole evening with such Grace and class that I would invite anyone there for any occasion keep doing what you all doing you are being the best gelato you can be thank you
The food tasted great, The service was okay. The drinks could have had been better.
The food was amazing. I love how often the waiters would come and check in to make sure we were doing well. They knew how to make us feel comfortable and if we ever needed anything, they were quick to serve us.
The food and service is excellent. This last time the venue was overbooked but the staff rallied to keep service up to par.
First time at this restaurant. Experience was wonderful, staff was very helpful and polite. Salad/Food bar had a wide variety of choices. The meat was outstanding. Management was out checking with each table. I will be going back.
Pleasant service and atmosphere. Buffet can improve a little. Excellent mango salad.
The food was delicious(we all ate way too much), and the staff is absolutely wonderful! The bartender, Lilo, is a delight! Fantastic experience.
Meat cooked properly (well-done beef is NOT acceptable), we ate as much as we wanted, although the cheaper cuts are offered by the servers more often than the pricier ones. Great salad bar, very tasty caipirinhas, decent desserts, staff very professional and not overwhelming, proper atmosphere, average prices when compared to other rodizio steakhouses around the country.
An amazing experience. Everyone was friendly, the food was great, and it was a fantastic experience.
Great food quality. Great meat variety. Excellent buffet choices. A little slow when full.
overall we had a lovely time. the buffet was wonderful - fabulous lobster bisque! the sliced meats at the table were very good, altho some were a bit over-cooked for me (I like my meat rare) and i felt some needed the help of a sauce (admittedly i'm not a big chimichurri fan). but it was fun and novel and really pleasant.
My BFF and I met for lunch. Wonderful experience. Only regret, salmon ran out too quickly .
The salad bar and all the fixings were quite good. Our servers were quite pleasant and friendly, as well. They were the best part of our experience. The meat, as compared to the other churrascos I have been to, was just okay. Nothing special. Some of it was yummy. Some of it was over-seasoned. And some of it was just not that tasty. We had a reservation but that did not seem to matter. The hostess was overwhelmed. We were seated about 30 minutes late and she even sat another party of two that arrived after us before she sat us. I don't think I would go again.
This is a mediocre version of Fogo de Chao. The meats were very salty with limited varieties. The salad bar items were good but it is tiny. Also, it did not include fruit. The restaurant is very, very small. We felt really cramped. There is no foyer so people who were waiting to be seated were standing next to diners seated at tables eating! For the price and better overall experience, I would suggest going to Fogo de Chao.
Everything was great love the staff, was seated promptly on time with a big smile, everyone was professional and Courteous. Thanks Galeto
Great service, excellent food. Very cool, great place
Made a reservation for Valentine's Day and still had to wait nearly half an hour for a table. The food and service was good. Meats (mostly medium rare) were offered at a good pace and we were able to try most of them. The salad bar had a good variety of food (rice & beans, veggies, seafood, cheeses, etc). I'd definitely return to this restaurant, maybe just not on a holiday.
Food was excellent but service slow. I had a special request on the reservation that was ignored or missed and was not full filled.
Great, we enjoyed it.
Thank you for a pleasant experience
My husband and I have been going here for a couple of years now. The food was consistent and so was the staff. However, last night was pure awful. You have a new hostess that has no idea what is going on. New servers that can’t handle the rowdy crowds that come in. At least the regular servers knew how to handle the large rowdy groups. The food was terrible. My husband and I both work for large restaurant groups. But, we know bad meat when we smell it. Twice last night there was two cuts of meats that should not have been served to dogs nor less humans. One gaucho was very nice. One gaucho is awful. He flings you’re food on the table like it is a snail in Pretty Woman.
I seriously don’t know what happened over the past eight or so weeks. But, we won’t be back for a few months. It’s sad because we live close by. But, I don’t want to get sick off the food.
WILL NEVER GO BACK. This was our first and ONLY time we wi;; dine there. Overpriced for the quality of the food. Service is slow and inattentive - hostess has no clue what she is doing and they don't care about their customers. The only good thing about our experience was leaving and knowing we will NEVER have to go back.
My family loves the vast array of delicious choices that Galeto offers, both at the self serve and from the servers who slice the meat at the table. I especially enjoy the cheese balls, the black beans & rice, the marinated mango, the rack of lamb, the sirloin, the tri tip and the rib steak. The housemade limeade is a refreshing accompaniment. We were very full but enjoy ending great meals with dessert. 8 of shared a generous portion of the tres leche cake and the chocolate lava cake. Both were outstanding! The staff is very warm & friendly, but sometimes are a little distracted.
We really love this place and the food and ambiance!
Just under $200 for 4 drinks And buffet court style dining... Not a great place for a date.
If you have never tried a Brazilian steakhouse, PLEASE try out this Oakland hotspot. I was craving meat and they hit the spot. Took my father and sister and we all loved it!
I went on a Sunday for lunch. It wasn’t busy so that was great. The service was great but I can’t say the same for the food. Most of the meat served were very salty.
So much fun!
We had a great experience, so yummy... thank you all the crew. 🙏🏽🤩
Brought my boyfriend here for his birthday last night and it was amazing. Every single meat we had was delicious and the gourmet bar was perfect. I have no complaints at all other than I wish I didn’t get full so fast so I could’ve enjoyed more food lol. Will absolutely be back!
The food was lip-smackingly spectacular. I was closing my eyes, chewing slowly and savoring every bite. The skirt steak was. The. BEST! Perfect juice and char combo. I have a severe seafood allergy and, despite seafood being openly displayed and in abundance, I felt no effects (meaning no cross contamination on the meats or salads). The cocktails were perfectly blended. Desserts were rich without being overwhelming. Dirty dishes were cleared within 1 minute of us moving it to the other side of the table. The owner and his staff are attentive without being intrusive. The ambiance is light, open, warm, and inviting. The bathroom is clean!!! It was a bit more pricey than I expected but we absolutely got what we paid for. We'll go again, hopefully soon.
The food was delicious!!
The salad bar and lobster bisque was exquisite.
I went during lunch, so there was only one server who also seemed to be the bartender, which probably slowed the service down a bit. The host was helping out a lot. I’m sure there’s more help during dinner.
Overall, I can’t wait to come back!
As always the food was awesome - a good selection from the salad bar and our favorites are the mussels and smoked salmon.
The meat were fresh and had the right amount of seasonings - with just a light touch of salt.
It was my birthday for New Years! The staff sang happy birthday to me in Brazilian and complimentary desserts for myself and my husband. Great side dishes and appetizers and friendly staff.
I’ve dined in this restaurant a number of times. I believe this was my sixth visit, our evening began very pleasant at the bar and I noticed the owner was there and became excited because I had received a message from him on social media after dining there on my first visit. I must tell you we were there over two hours and he went to literally every table to ask diners how their meal was, pour wine and even got a confused Asian man who didn’t seem to understand how the process was a plate and show him how to get food. He must have looked at our table 8 times and purposely walk past us. I’m not sure if he is homophobic or what the issue was but I was extremely insulted at how obviously he ignored our table. You would think my partner and I had on makeup and sheer crop tops instead of Ted Baker topcoats and Ralph Lauren Polos. For $168 and to be subjected to that treatment I think I’ll be saving my Brazilian business for Espetus from now on. The rest of the servers and the bar tender were great as always but I have never left a restaurant feeling so frustrated and disrespected. Gays and lesbians beware and save your hard earned money for another Brazilian steakhouse.
The meat at this place did not taste fresh in comparison to other Brazilian steak houses that I've been to. I don't think I would spend the money that I did if I knew this was the case. The people were nice and made sure you were taken care of.
I treated two dear friends to dinner at Galeto Brazilian Steakhouse. Prime time on a Saturday evening involves a significant investment, but well worth it. The lobster bisque was possibly the best I've had in at least a decade, and the salad bar/buffet area was well populated with all manner of delicacy.
Kudos - you made my visit memorable. Thank you.
When we were seated, the waitress didn’t take the time to introduce the food serving process (salad bar and meat serving process ). We were not served complimentary cheese bread. I had to request for it. The Lamb ribs served was very rare and had asked the waitress to replace it with a medium rare. We waited and waited and waited until close to 9 pm (closing time) the Lamb ribs was still not served. We paid our check and just left the restaurant with disappointment that our family Christmas dinner experience. Food was great. Service was extremely disappointing.
Staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious!!!
