Wonderful little restaurant right on 301 will be going back to try some other dishes soon.
Everything was excellent and waiter was outstanding. Was a little annoyed and thought it was extremely rude of the owner on his way out the door to tell our waiter to don’t forget to sweep the parking lot.
Embarrassing for him and rude since he was doing an awesome job in waiting on us.
We had a wonderful meal here a couple of years ago and decided to come back. The service was adequate and it was nice sitting outdoors, but the food was disappointing and expensive. The market special fish was grilled mahi mahi. It was small, dry, and tasteless, and cost $30!! They forgot our rice, and when it came after we asked for it, there was an eyelash on the plate. There were black specks (hopefully not bugs!) in the water and even frozen into an ice cube! The cheeses and bread were lovely. We love having upscale restaurant choices in La Plata, but unfortunately, we don’t plan to come back here.
The noise level was too much. I will eat on the patio next time. It was so loud I almost asked the server to pack my meal and husbands up so we could leave. The noise is way too loud.
I was good but there was no real sound barrier between the bar and the restaurant and while i was there the happy hour crowd was talking at about 90 dbs.
The service was fantastic as well as the waitress. My family enjoyed the food and I did loved the Long Island drink.
Galazio Restaurant is a great place for a date night or family dinner. The food, atmosphere and service is wonderful!
Took my husband out for Father’s Day dinner. Our kids are grown and gone so special treat from me to him.
The restaurant was busy with plenty of attentive wait staff. Great atmosphere and wonderful background music.
Galazio graciously offered half price steaks for the Dads. We ordered the Tomahawk for 2. First time ordering but won’t be the last.
Not only was the steak huge, but perfectly cooked to order , delicious, and beautiful presentation.
We love dining in our local restaurants and Galazio never disappoints.
An occasion to remember.
Overall, we had a wonderful evening. Most things we loved!
Ordered chicken souvlaki, moussaka, saganaki flambé, and baklava—all of these items were delish! Complimentary rolls were great, but the dipping sauce was bitter—don’t know if it was one of the spices or the olive oil but it was a little odd. I was also surprised that the croutons appeared to be from a box, but not the end of the world
Service was okay...we ate outside. Lovely evening for it. Server was friendly, but only asked if she could get us something else. She didn’t engage w questions of how are meal was or offer suggestions that sort of thing. She got the job done.
The guy who was working the pizza oven... had an ear bud in his ear through the evening and on his phone a lot. Came off as unprofessional. That could be his complete job, but I started feeling like I was at a school cafeteria vs restaurant.
Will definitely go back, but a few things could be tweaked
It's nice to have a "go to" restaurant for dinner that is spot on in food, wine selection and the wait staff is awesome. Very professional.
Fantastic evening on my first visit. Took guests for business dinner and service, pace, and selection of food choices was just right. Food was excellent and stumbling onto 1/2 price wine night was a bonus!!
Patio seating was beautiful. Service for a large party was patient, efficient, and friendly. The food was phenomenal. Had the lamb chops. Can’t wait to go back.
Delicious! Perfect for a special occasion or intimate dinner date. Lively bar scene. Great food. Well-informed, helpful staff.
Our hostess was very friendly and welcoming. Server made some great recommendations and was very attentive. She was also very personable and friendly. Enjoyed sitting outside on the patio in the evening.
We love Galazios! The drinks are great and the food is fabulous. It can get a bit loud at times though. I think it might be quieter if you sit out on the porch. Even with the traffic.
Awesome all the way around. Highly recommend to anyone.
We arrived early for our reservation we would not seated until 40 minutes after our reservation. Portion sizes were very small in comparison for the large prices. Service was great. Noise volume was unreasonable.
I first ordered the stuffed flouder. Unfortunately I had to send it back. This was on Mother's Day. The flounder looked more of the smallest piece of fish I'd ever seen. When i asked the waiter to order something else he looked oddly at me and asked why what's wrong with it. I counted to 5 then responded. Its Extremely small. My family party of 13 all thought it was definitely not what we thought it would be. Swapped out for the lamb chops and they where amazing. Rocky start but a tasty finish. The seafood towers where good too.
Always delicious. Best filet mignon anywhere ( my favorite).
We love the restaurant....one of our favorites, but the noise level was out of control.
Pizza was good. Ice tea and soda expensive at 4 dollars a drink. Crab dip was more cheese than crab meat and not that good. It was the first time I didn’t eat all of my crab dip.
Great food, lovely atmosphere, wonderful customer service
We went to on a Friday night and got a reservation for 4 through OpenTable with no problem. Service was excellent: we were seated with very little wait, and our waiter was fantastic. We got 3 appetizers: Grilled Octopus, Mediterranean Sausage and Feta Skaras, which were all excellent. My entree was the Salmon Special, with Broccolini and Rice Pilaf sides. The salmon and broccolini were superb, but the rice pilaf was quite dry. The other guests got the Grilled (Shrimp) Kebabs, the Traditional Lamb Chops, and the other fish special. Except for the rice pilaf, which another guest also found dry, we all thought the food was excellent. The restaurant has a great wine list, but we did not have any: two of had beer and the others had tea and water. All in all, a great dinner for a good price.
The food and service is always incredible. The menu and selection is outstanding. I’ve never had a bad experience.
The restaurant was awesome. However they did not get my reservation. Luckily they were able to seat us without too long of a wait
Excellent food and service!
It’s was a great time with family
Absolute great experience. The food was cooked and presented in perfect fashion.
I liked the atmosphere and the food, however, I thought it was quite pricey for lunch.
Galazio's is an extremely well run restaurant - from the quality of the food to the exceptional service. This time I ordered their infamous corned beef and cabbage which you can only get during the month of March. I'm not usually a big corned beef fan but this was truly delicious! It was a huge serving of potatoes on the bottom, topped with cabbage and then corned beef on the top. I will definitely come back next March for this dish again. The restaurant is always clean and the staff are expected to provide quality service and they definitely deliver. Galazio's is one of my favorite restaurants. A++++
Exellent service, very accommodating, friendly and would definitely recommend this restaurant and visit it again.
As always, excellent service, excellent food choices and excellent food! I had the salmon special - fabulous! The free parking is an added bonus.
You’ve grown to be popular place to dine. 👍 It may be time to expand or find a bigger place. 😀
The food and staff are amazing but its so loud anymore. I know they just put carpet in but we couldn't hear the waitress speak and couldn't have a normal conversation at out table.
Took the family for my wife’s birthday. We were seated quickly and our weightier was prompt and very friendly. We ordered the crab dip appetizer and it was very good. My girls both ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce but unfortunately they weren’t big fans of it. The seasoning/spices they use in the sauce were the main reason for it, so if you have picky eaters maybe try something else. I ordered the Pastitsio and it was delicious. My son ordered the chicken kabobs and they are excellent. The wife ordered the Carbonara and she loved it. The portion size for each meal was good and the service was excellent.
I've dined here multiple times ... the food is always delicious. It's a great place for a leisurely-paced dinner when you want to take the time to enjoy both the food and your dining partner(s).
Every time I have eaten at Galazio Restaurant, I have had a great dinner and overall great experience. One of the better restaurants in the area.
We had heard great reviews but were very disappointed in less than average lobster mac n cheese that was over cooked, very salty cream of crab with stringy crab meat and steak that was one third gristle. Our server was energetic but was less than attentive and had to be reminded to bring parts of the meal. It's a shame it wasn't nicer, we need good options for La Plata.
We really enjoyed our delayed Valentine's dinner at Galazio . It's a lovely place and has intimate seating. The portions were surprisingly large making it a good value for the money. The service was good, we had a spilled drink accident which was handled quickly and efficiently by the staff but there were a few times when I thought the service should have been a little faster.
All in all I'd recommend Galazio for anyone wanting a nice romantic dinner. Their menu options are interesting. I'm looking forward to going back to try some of their other Greek options.
