Gaido's Seafood Restaurant
How can frozen fish be called fresh? The answer for anyone with snap is simple: it can’t. That’s why Gaido’s is the classic choice for fresh Gulf seafood. Patrons know Gaido’s is real, when others are clearly not. From red snapper and blue crab to white tablecloths crumbed with panache, there’s no denying Gaido’s is one-of-a-kind in a world of imitation. Now, after four generations of filleting, frying, grilling and baking, Gaido’s has grown into the picture perfect place of traditions– birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, reunions. As the largest fresh fish house on the coast, Gaido’s can serve up to 2,500 happy diners a day. Plus, with the Pelican Club, private dining, catering, a new food truck and parking galore…it’s easy to see why Gaido’s -– for over 100 years – is truly the coastal classic.

As always Gaido’s is amazing.
Watkin’s Bisque is a must for starters and if you get a salad the creamy onion garlic is a game changer - for real I am a straight ranch girl but this dressing makes me forget about ranch.
If it is crab season the Asiago cream jumbo lump crab is fantastic and the Parmesan tomatoes are the best!
First time here and the food was excellent. Had the Blackened Redfish w/le blanc sauce and asparagus = delicious. The crab mac and cheese was good; however I have had better, but decent. Overall, no complaints as the food was prepared and cooked well.
I have been going to Gaido's for 50 years and its still a special experience. Great bartenders, great service staff and the best Texas Gulf Coast Seafood. I am still dreaming about my shrimp stuffed with Texas blue crab cakes.
Gaido's has never disappointed us. Great selection of dishes and specials and very fresh fish. while not cheap you get what you pay for and it is worth the price for the quality and service.
Gaidos is such a refreshing place to visit. You always know what to expect. It is obvious that Gaidos management expect alot out of their waitstaff and they deliver. A lovely "retro" kind of vibe that takes you back to the way restaurants used to be. The service is unlike most restaurants these days. Harkens to an earlier time when waitstaff took pride in their jobs. The food is always delicious and so consistant. I love to visit Gaidos especially when I need to know what to count on. It never disappoints
Gaido’s holds so many good memories for me as a child and it was so fun to bring my grown children there all these years later. The service and food were amazing! I tried something new recommended by our waiter and it was fabulous! The red snapper with crab meat on top and an amazing sauce was sooooo good! We love the gift shop too!
Very good overall experience, but we had been at Rudy and Paco the night before, and nobody can compare to Rudy & Paco.
I've went to Gaido's a handful of times and yall never fail to impress me ! Yall are expensively delicious! Im very careful on where i spend money and Gaidos is worth every dollar ! I nearly faint every time i eat your crawfish pasta and fall in love with yall all over again ! Ive already recommended 2 of my friends to go and they're super excited ! Thank y'all so much and for our waitress Bailey for killing it ! She was extremely nice and didn't leave our side ! She kept us very well hydrated lol ! Water was coming in left and right and she was extremely patient with us !
It was a great dining experience. This is our favorite restaurant when we come to Galveston.
We've been coming here for years and this restaurant never disappoints. The server was great and so was the food! It's always worth the drive from Houston, even with the construction.
This place is very romantic. The staff made sure everything was perfect for my wife and I on our 12th anniversary.
The seafood was fresh, the service was great!
Service and food were awesome!!!
Absolutely delicious and waiter, Nick was the best!!!!!
When here on a date night and the food was amazing. The atmosphere was great. Had a wonderful time.
We eat here every summer! They have excellent food and a great view of the ocean!
The food was below average. Nothing great about it at all. There was a huge party in where they sat us who were extremely loud. It cost us $230 for food we could have eaten at Joe’s Crab Shack, which we probably should have. But now we know for next time. Absolutely not worth the money.
Very good food. Excellent service. Will definitely go back.
Very pleased with the whole experience. I would visit Gaido's again in the future.
Service was fantastic! We were welcomed on arrival and thanked on departure!
So 😋 delicious! It’s worth the trip and don’t skip dessert!
It was delicious!!!!
Awesome food and excellent service. Be sure and make a reservation.
Gaudi’s for, atmosphere & service did not disappoint me - it was EXCELLENT!
Gaidos is consistently one of the best restaurants I've ever been to.
Great food. Old school elegance. A little pricey. Wine that we like was $36 per bottle. Not too bad except it only costs about $7.00 in a store.
The food was fabulous to the point it practically melts in your mouth! Our service was excellent! It was the only place we dined there weren't screaming high pitched children. Much Appreciated!
Great food great service wonderful view love this place
I can not recommend this restaurant if my experience is indicative of normal.
Luis was an excellent waiter. The food was delicious.
Just not the same! Needs a over haul! We have been eating here for years and the service needs to brought back to the level it was in the 90’s. The food came out at different times. We had to keep asking for drink, bread etc..
Our waitress was polite but not engaged. Apps came out quickly and were honestly the best part of the meal. Entrees took forever and were not as good as I would expect given the restaurants reputation and price point. Service got slower as the meal wore on. Definitely better places to eat on the island.
I have passed by Gaidos many times and heard great things about it. Finally had a chance to see what the fuzz was about, and they live up to the expectations! My favorite were the fried oyster and pecan crunch (save some space for this wonderful dessert). I'll go back next time I'm in Galveston without a doubt!
Classic Galveston establishment first time here was 1984
Food fantastic. Wonderful ambience and great staff. Lunch a little expensive
Nice restaurant. Meal was outstanding. Service was adequate. One of the better places in Galveston.
One of our favorites when we visit Galveston. Food and service is always great!
Very excellent!!! Would recommend to anyone looking for a great meal!!!
Excellent food & service! We liked that we had a round table so we could all talk. Great birthday celebration-excellent taste in the dessert presentation.
We come to Gaido’s when we come to Galveston. This wasn’t the greatest visits only because our service was not good at all. We were also seated in the very back room where there was a large table that was VERY loud..add that to the other tables and it was very noisy. The food was outstanding! The creamy spinach was to die for and the Pecan Crunch did not disappoint!
All the staff were very kind and patient with my 92 year old mother. She barely gets out anymore and we wanted to treat her to the "Best!" That's why we chose Gaido's. She loved it! Thank you all for a great dining experience. When any of our friends happen to go to Galveston, Guido's is the first place we encourage them to visit.
