Food mostly top notch and tasty and delicious. Redfish absolutely perfectly cooked and so fresh it tasted like it had just been caught. Roasted potatoes -uninspired wedges. Dessert fab. Drink small and non-potent. Waiter totally programmed yet attentive. Restaurant needs fresh facelift. Smells old when you walk to n.
6th wedding anniversary. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful, answering any questions we had and making incredible suggestions. Even served an amazing cheesecake with raspberry drizzle on the house for our anniversary.

I have been a longtime fan of gaidos. I have not gone for about 5 years and the quality of food has declined while the price has increased significantly. We waited an hour from the time we placed our order till we got our food. I will now be looking for a new favorite restaurant in Galveston.

Our favorite date spot - delicious food, great service, quiet atmosphere. Been coming for over 30 years - our first date, birthdays, anniversaries etc. Also a family favorite with our kids through the years. The Watkins bisque is everything!!! Only criticism this trip was the Valentines special cheesecake. Bland with a sticky sweet syrup on top. Not our favorite
We enjoyed our Valentine's dinner at Gaido's; we were driving from Dallas and got caught in some traffic. We let them know we were going to be late and they were so hepful to offer us a later time. It was a busy evening, but we were greeted by the friendly staff and given a rose. The menu offered an array of seafood selections, we chose the stuffed salmon w/ asparagus and it was excellent. Would definitely dine here again!
Food was cold, sent back and only came back barely warm. Manager did give us dessert for the trouble.
Our food was amazing, The fish was very fresh and cooked perfectly. I enjoyed my time there and will definitely be back for our next special occasion.

We really enjoyed the calm and quiet atmosphere! The food was delicious, though the asparagus and mahi mahi could have used more seasoning, overall we loved it and will go back
The waiter and chef took my shellfish allergy seriously, and I did not suffer any cross-contamination issues! The pecan-encrusted red snapper was excellent! It was so light! My picky six-year old daughter ate nearly all of her fettuccine alfredo. The cheesecake did not have a heavy taste to it. It was very light and scrumptious! The waiter was attentive. We enjoyed our family dinner out at Gaido's for a very special Valentine's Day!
Waiter took our drink order but was gone for a longer than expected time . Bread and drinks arrived and were very good., Gumbo was excellent and thick. The combination oyster platter was probably the best selection I’ve ever ate and the tile fish flaky and buttery. Expensive but worth it.
Waiter was a bit curt after he did not make drink correctly as asked, and inflexible on menu preparation, but then said he would ask and they did preparation of shrimp they have always done previously.

Best seafood I have ever eaten!! Our waiter Evan was very knowledgeable and recommended the red snapper and I am so glad he did. It was wonderful food and a must do dining experience in Galveston!

The century of customer first in service and quality continues with the current generation of Gaido’s. The “grand dame” overseeing the entire operation is Maria and my preferred server, Ellena are the epitome of superb service. There are many seafood restaurants on the Island, but only one that MUST be experienced - Gaido’s!

Luis was an excellent waiter despite how busy the restaurant was. There were aspects of the meal that were worth it and others that certainly weren't. The crust on the pecan mahi mahi overwhelmed the flavor of the fish, but the crabcake was amazing. The salad was wayyy overdressed, but the salmon was delicious. Give and take. Overall, we had a good time.
A Galveston Icon! Definitely a tradition in our family.

The charbroiled oysters were great and the wedge salad was large. The blackened yellowfin tuna cooked rare was average. The bread pudding was really good.

We took advantage of the Restaurant Week menu which was very good - We chose crab stuffed shrimp. Our server - Cameron - was excellent - very attentive, but no overly so. Gaido’s seems to have regained it former status as a great place to eat in Galveston.
