Gaetano's Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
The service was amazing! The food was nothing special to just not cooked well. Cioppino is one of my all-time favorite meals, so when’s I heard that theirs was “the best,” I had to try it. The mussels and clams had no flavor and stuck to their shells—you had to tear them apart to get the meat out. The lobster was undercooked and very fishy-tasting. Scallops were fine. Pasta was fine. Won’t be back.
A great place for a birthday dinner! The bread was fabulous as was the calamari! The Caesar salad was spot on and the spinach ravioli was the best! I just loved their sauce, or gravy, as we call it in NY! The teramisu was complimentary and is worthy of whatever it costs (it was my birthday, so they surprised me!) i’ll return in a NY minute!!
WOW! This was one if the most impressive dining experiences we have had since moving here in 2015. The chef’s specials were absolutely amazingly delicious! I would challenge this Chef to any high end, ( famous restaurant) Chef on the strip. SERIOUSLY it was THAT GOOD! Request Angel to be your server. He knew EVERYTHING about each entree and the wine and never wrote down a thing. Angel even asked the Chef to prepare a surprise appetizer for my husband. I can’t say enough good things about this hidden gem! If you don’t live in the Henderson area it will be worth the drive.
Found this “Great”authentic Italian local restaurant online in the Henderson local area outside of Las Vegas. The entrees were spectacular and the service outstanding! If you ever want to dine away from the Las Vegas crowds and mad rush - this is the place to come for Italian food!
I had to go to Henderson for a dinner meeting and found this restaurant on Open Table. I had never heard of it before and that's a shame because it was all-around excellent. Great food at reasonable prices in a nice atmosphere. The service was absolutely stellar. I'm already looking forwarded to returning. If you're in Henderson, definitely check out Gaetano's.
This visit was quite nice. After going here so many times, we've learned what to order while still trying something new. Jake was our waiter again and he Never disappoints us!
My friend and I shared an appetizer, Fried Zucchini Flowers. They were quite tasty and crispy.
We also shared 2 dishes, Eggplant Rolatini (always yummy), and the butternut squash ravioli.
The ravioli was tasty but the ratio of filling to pasta is way off. Needs more filling for sure.
I still think the prices need to come down, but when you use the Groupon, it's not too too bad.
Even the owner was friendly this time. She was very personable. It made for a very nice outing with my friend. It was her first visit and she enjoyed it.
Great Italian Food. Restaurant is new and in a nice area. Service was outstanding and very personable. I had the lasagna and it was the best lasagna I have ever had. The fried artichoke hearts were so light and crispy. I can't say enough about the bread...we went through almost 2 baskets! So good.
We like to come to Gaetano's for our special occasions, more frequently if we can. This time, we came here for my birthday. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. The food was wonderful, as always. We had the seasonal fig appetizer (I've been waiting for months for the figs to be back!), the venison special , and their new special-menu item of house-made squid ink pasta with crab and lobster. Highly recommend both dishes. They were very kind to bring my dessert with a birthday candle, and take our photo. The chef and staff made it a very memorable birthday! We absolutely recommend Gaetano's, and look forward to our next meal there.
Our dinner on Monday night was sooooo good we had to go back to try more. This time I had the bouillabaisse and my wife had the fettuccini alfredo with the sausage and of course we had to have the tiramisu, just a wonderful dinner. Cannot wait until our next visit.
Let me start by saying that the Maitre D & Wait staff on Monday 9.18 was definitely the best we've had in a while there. We have celebrated 5 out of 20 anniversary's at this place. This was our last. Time to move on.
Sadly, we keep going back hoping it will be the way it was a few years ago, however we keep getting disappointed.
Portions are getting smaller, prices are higher. They are cutting so far back on costs, it's affecting quality!
Dinner: I was going to order a Porcini Mushroom Risotto - but they said it was going to cost $28.95... No thanks, I'll pass.
I ordered chicken marsala with angel hair oil & garlic. The garlic overpowered the dish so much, I couldn't taste or smell the marsala. There was very little sauce too. The chicken was such a small portion. They pounded it out so thin, it wasn't even 4oz of meat. I took it to go and told them the problem with the pasta, no one cared or even offered to replace it.
My husband ordered chicken alfredo. The pasta itself was delicious. The sauce was all butter, not creamy (again, cutting back on costs) The chicken was little boiled tasteless cubes. Not worth a $4 upcharge at all.
They are obviously cutting back on quality/quanties to make up for the Groupon customers. If they don't like that people use their Groupons, why do they sell them?
I purposely did not tell them until the check came that I had one because I wanted to see if the quality would be better. Sadly, it just doesn't matter to them.
I added photos that make the dishes look nice - but really, listen when I say- they are really GREAT photos!
I was very impressed from the moment we walked through the door. The matre de was handsome, polite and greeted my mom with Happy birthday. The ambiance, food, waiter and helpers were so prompt and polite. I will definitely be visiting next time I am in town. Thank you for a pleasant experience.
Angel, our server, was superb. His offer to amend anything on the menu was acted upon by at least two of our party of four. No starch for me, please ( yes, it is an Italian restaurant) and my sister who is experimenting with being a vegan had a vegetable salad made just for her. My sea bass was perfectly cooked--moist and falling into lovely layers in a white wine lemon caper butter sauce. Everyone at the restaurant greeted us and made us feel welcome.
Gaetano's never disappoints! I was entertaining a few friends and we had a fabulous time! The wine list is fantastic! The appetizers are to die for....and the meal was exquisite! Everything was delicious...beautifully served. Our waiter, Nicholas, took a great deal of time explaining ingredients and points of origin for the fish and the drinks! It was quite a wonderful experience. My friends loved it and were equally impressed.
This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Las Vegas - because it not only serves traditional Italian food but it serves a bit of the unexpected - like mezzaluna ravioli which is stuffed with veal in a cream sauce with peas - absolutely delicious - this is not your cheap Italian restaurant though I'll lasagna would be $18 chicken Parmesan $27 but friends in from Florida remarked that it was one of the best restaurants they went to since being here. Ask for Jake he's a great server.
