Interesting food, good flavors...owner waited on us and cooked our food to order...good experience
I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes.
Portions a bit small for the price, but overall the food was very delicious and had a lot of variety! Only had two servers for the night and was a bit slow.
Definietely recommend the place. We were nicely welcomed. Their beef is very nice and their service was perfect.
I had dinner at Gado Gado with my wife but unfortunately it was a disappointing experience and we do not intend to go back. The waiter was not friendly and the food was not particularly good. Not much ambiance either.
This central Montreal Indonesian has good food and service in a somewhat understated setting. We had the rijstafel equivalent and it doesn't compare to a rijstafel in Europe. It was far more bland and in general the flavors were not as interesting. Our server was very pleasant and attentive, but would not go out of my way to go here again.
Food was ok. So not bad and not wow. Just fair, or a little bit over. Is a fair price as well.
A good indonesian restaurant is hard to find. This one is simple and plain but the food is very good and authentic. Very good value.
On charming McKay Street, up a staircase to a little gem of a restaurant. The menu offers an interesting assortment of Indonesian dishes for all tastes and palates, and prices are very reasonable. The staff is courteous and attentive and takes the time to help diners make their selection. The Redang Daging (braised beef) is to die for. And say "yes" to a dessert of steamed rice cake - a light, delicate finish to the meal.
Went with friends and had different dishes which were all very good!
