Gabriel's Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
ABSOLUTELY PHENOMINAL ! ! Our dinner at Gabriel's was a joy. This is Fine Dining at it's very best . Go with someone you love , friends or someone you want to know better . Prepare for a night of conversation and fantastic food. Gabriel's offers a Classic European take on dining and service. THE FOOD was magnificent . I cleared every bit of everything presented . It was a lovely 3 Course Experience . My Filet Oscar was hands down the finest cut of beef I have ever had. buttery , cooked to perfection....... Everybody at this beautiful old mansion is clearly very proud of , and well trained in what they do. Our Waitress Vera shows what a true Professional Waiter is capable of. She is an Artist and a Master of her craft. the meal was perfectly timed and presented , Vera was always a step ahead of us ..... firing each course off at exactly the right time. She is personable and engaging and full of very useful knowledge and suggestions in regards to the menu and our needs. The Pinot Noir Vera suggested was the perfect pairing with our filets. Thank You Gabriel's for a fantastic night .
Absolutely delightful. The lobster ravioli and the salmon pate starters were so good that we could have dined in that alone. The strawberry kale salad exploded with flavor, I wish I knew how to make that dressing. And the halibut and risotto, as well as the chicken parmigiana were not only great but enough to satisfy my appetite, which coming from an Italian family is quite large. Service was very attentive and professional, quality wine list. We will definitely go again. Oh, and the creme brulee was on point.
We went to Gabriel's to celebrate Valentine's Day. The food was superb. The service was reasonably paced. We took our time and had a perfect two hour feast. It was a perfect evening.
We have gone to Gabriel's for special occasions in the past. We will go again in the future.
It was our first time here and we'd heard lots of good things about it. It did not disappoint. Their food was delicious, atmosphere (in old Victorian house) was awesome and their prices were good. Great wine list as well. It was my birthday and they were very attentive and recognized that.
First date and it was probably one of the very best first date experiences. Gabriel’s and the wait staff allowed us to get to know each other while serving us in a eloquent way! I can’t remember the name of our waitress, but she knew exactly when and how much attention we needed without intrusiveness on our getting to know each other. The food was exquisite and frosting on the entire experience! Of course, the two of us made it special as well!
Thank You Gabriel’s
We had the halibut and the duck. The halibut was perfect. However, I've had the duck before several times and loved it, but this time I thought it was a little dry. Won't stop me from coming back, but I'll order something else next time. Service, as always, was impeccable !
My husband and I recently celebrated an anniversary at Gabriel’s. The whole experience was amazing! The views from the window were beautiful- the restaurant was so elegant yesterday relaxing. Vera our waitress and her assistant were helpful with food suggestions as well as delightful to speak with in general. The food was so tasty! Our entrees were cooked perfectly and hot! We plan on coming back with family so they can share our great experience as well.
Great meal, very friendly waiter (Ray)!! We will be back. We we're there for our anniversary. It was very nice and felt pretty quiet and romantic until a table with loud people and children seated right by us. Other than that it was a great experience! My steak was perfect! Loved the 3 course dinner!
As always, we had a marvelous dinner at Gabriel's. We took our 99 year old mother for a wonderful birthday celebration. Gabriel's was perfectly accommodating and we had an outstanding experience. The only issue we had was that our steaks were overcooked. Nevertheless, Gabriel's immediately corrected the situation with new steaks. We always consider Gabriel's for special occasions.
This visit was a gift from two of our kids who were in town for our Anniversary. We had a great meal and great time with good food, wine and conversation. We believe it is their attention to detail and warm hospitality and of course great food options that keep us coming back for over two decades.
We celebrated my father's 89th birthday. Rick our waiter and Cat his assistant took good care of us. Everyone in the group said their food was excellent. Between us, we had the prime rib special, veal, halibut and salmon. They were responsive to dietary restrictions for two in the party.
The last few times I’ve been, all for special occasions, I’ve been very disappointed with the food. I would like to see more ‘regular’ food on the menu. I don’t eat fish, lamb or organ meats, so my choices are limited. Most of the people I take enjoy the selection of unusual foods, but I don’t. Once I ordered a lobster tail. I love lobster tail. It looked like it exploded. It was so tough and rubbery I couldn’t eat it. My sister-in-laws was exactly the same and she only took a couple bites and pushed it aside. Yuk. And for so much money, I would expect the food to be cooked properly. I’m going to have to find a new restaurant for special occasions, or any occasion for that matter.
Generally we have really enjoyed the restaurant and the service is always superlative however my meal and my husbands was less than great.
It was the mains that really failed and we should have sent both back. However because it was New Year’s Eve I figured they were under pressure to deliver with being so booked.
His filet was overdone and tough fairly impossible to eat and my duck was sopping wet with icky skin.
Should have been crispy with orange sauce.
We took friends who had never been there before and I think they were satisfied.
We will be back but more selective and picky about how our meal should taste.
I rarely leave a less than stellar review or say nothing if not happy but we really enjoy Gabriel’s and hope they take this the right way...
My previous filet was so incredible that the one my husband had was truly a disappointment.
My wife and I had passed this by for years thinking that three courses required was going to cost us way too much. What a mistake. The food was great and we didn’t pay any more than we did at lesser restaurants. You can actually speak to and hear the person you are with. Highly recommend.
This was our annual Christmas visit even though we eat there other times mainly for special occasions. At Christmas, understandably, they have a smaller menu but still great. My special dish which is the Filet Mignon was done as a Filet Oscar which I had them leave the sauce on the side which is OK. I prefer the merlot sauce but not a big deal just a preference. All in all is was a good Christmas Eve outing and we will continue to do so in the future as a family tradition.
We have been dining at Gabriel’s for over 15 years and our experience on Christmas Eve was one of worst ever dining events. The restaurant was serving a 3 Course prix fixe menu. The first course was their typical fish spread and crackers or one lobster ravioli. My ravioli was not cooked well with cold filling. There was also an abundance of red bell pepper sprinkled all over the plate. The fish spread was their happy hour serving. The second course was a chicken soup or a salad. I had to send the soup back because it was cold. The salad was just lettuce, a few tomatoes and LOTS of red bell pepper. I ordered the lamb and my husband ordered duck as the main course. The lamb was covered with a gravy and chopped red bell pepper. The meat was so tough, it was difficult to cut. My husband took two bites of the duck with tomato sauce and pushed away his plate. It was inedible. The chef needs to update his menu. Perhaps it should be suggested that red bell pepper does not go with everything. And Gabriel’s needs to start purchasing better quality ingredients. If this restaurant is going to charge $45-$65 for menus, don’t try to cover up the cheap meat entree with heavy sauces. We are saddened that Gabriel’s will not be on our list of dining opportunities anymore. You have lost us as customers.
