Great service and food.
Our waiter was exceptional. I believe his name was JD.
it was a good experience for all!!
We loved our appetizers. Our steaks were not exceptional. Great server. Would have preferred a more intimate table. The canned ceiling lighting did not enhance the ambience. The candle on the table helped. If there was not a candle , it would have felt sort of “dank.”
We love sitting outside here-but inside is beautiful, too. Great cocktails, and the best fried chicken sandwich- with incredible fries!
A nice quiet place. The service staff was attentive and food was good. Nothing especially stood out as great compared to other places in Charleston that offer better ambiance, more character and menu.
Menu was in transition to the fall selections so several items were unavailable. Portions on the small side. Nothing was very hot.
Best item was the crab cake. Service was good
They went above and beyond for my sister-in-law‘s birthday celebration. Everyone felt like a VIP! Thank you so much for your attention to detail and reading my notes in my open table reservation!
Delicious food, very nice waiter and very comfortable atmosphere
Beautiful setting, excellent service and scrumptious food.
In the end this is essentially a hotel food restaurant. Way overpriced with a mediocre level of service. Was the food ok..yes...but it was like the best wedding food you have ever had. The level of service at this price point was absurd....the food inexcusably overpriced.
Birthday Lunch. Food and Service was superb! Thank You! O
Service was excellent. It was our anniversary and we were given complimentary glasses of champagne. Food was outstanding.
Very loud due to proximity to bar area.
Seared flounder with field peas was more like fried snapper with pinto beans!?
Service was excellent.
Ambiance and decor were great. The main entrees of filet and scallops were both over-salted to the max. Hostess and waiters seemed really novice foe the dining establishment at Hotel Bennett. 3/5 if we are being honest. The hype didn’t meet the standard requirements of a great time. Great tasting food and 5star appreciation from staff.
Delightful service staff. Wonderful ambiance. Food quality did not meet the standards of Bennett Hotel expectations!
Excellent and beautiful restaurant.
Breakfast was great
We were there for dinner on Sunday October 3rd. This was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Everything from the host who greeted us with a warm smile and made special arrangements to satisfy our request, to the beautifully decorated interiors and nicely set table, to the friendly server to the food - both appetizers and entries (my snapper and my husband's flounder were perfect!), to the absolutely delicious artisanal bread. OMG, did I mention bread? They get it from a local bakery half-baked and then bake it to finish it off on-site - so it was served hot both times (we requested additional serving after we finished first 4 slices). Best freshly baked artisanal bread served in any restaurant we ever visited either here in US or in Europe, period. Overall - extremely satisfied and definitely highly recommend.
Hidden gem with amazing food and great service. The decor is beautiful.
Best restaurant in Charleston.
Food was delicious and service was wonderful!
Amazing food and service. My wife had the filet and I had the pork chop that was delicious. Definitely can’t wait to go back.
It may have been an off night for me and/or the chef but the scallop entree I ordered was too salty to eat. I mentioned this to the server who wanted to take it off our bill but as I told him I really just wanted the chef to be aware. He comped us a dessert, which was appreciated (and was very good) but not why I mentioned it. My husband enjoyed his duck and the tuna appetizer was quite good do it must have just been something amiss with this particular dish.
Service was the best part - Matthew was so nice and attentive! Food was mediocre at best and the flies were horrific (we sat outside). Not worth the $$$.
Worst service in Charleston. We had 9:30 reservations for breakfast and we could not get seated until 9:50 even though they had at least 10 open tables. They kept saying they had “a lot going on” and were a bit smug when we complained. Finally got water service at 10:02 and coffee by 10:20. Did not get the food until just before 11 and it was average at best.
Get your act together. Guests deserve better.
Cooper River Bridge Race may have been a factor, but while they appeared to be prepared to handle our reservation, and the team tried to make it work by pitching in where they could, the food was disappointing and service did not make up for it
The staff at Gabrielle made us feel so welcome and special.
The food was outstanding and it was a perfect setting for us to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary.
The hotel restaurant was wonderful. Kyle , the maitre d’, was very welcoming The food was good. The broccoli was burned but other than that, we enjoyed our dinner. They were so kind to give a dessert to us to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We would go there again. The rooftop bar is nice, too.
Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant and bar.
Food is meh at best..
sever was very nice
Waitress was very nice but, she was stretched too thin.
Food Quality and taste does not compare to other Charleston restaurants..
Desserts not good at all...
Pound cake served as cheesecake?
Top notch service. I didn’t like a dish that I ordered, they took it off the bill and offered to bring me any another dish. I cordially declined so they offered me a dessert on the house. The dessert was phenomenal. We left very satisfied and eager to go back. Well worth the experience.
The "Seared Flounder"appeared to be frozen.
My wife had the tuna appetizer and had a terrible stomach ache shortly there after.
The drinks were very good.
However, the dinner was disappointing and over priced.
All was very good except wait between courses, but it was worth the wait
We had an amazing experience dining with JD for my moms birthday. The ambiance was perfect and his service was amazing. The food was all delicious and it’s the perfect place for a special occasion as the service is above and beyond.
Wonderful as always! Love the delicious food and the excellent service!
Hostes Kyle was good
Very kind server Alex. Surprised restaurant didn’t not have home made mayonnaise for 9$ fries for the mussels. Very kind to offer a Prosecco before meal for our anniversary . After having incredible pastries in the patisserie earlier the dessert was not up to that standard . Truffle chocolate mousse was very cold not served the right temperature . Mussels had amazing flavor but little overcooked .
Beef tenderloin had no caramelization
Hollandaise had too much lemon very acidic . Bread basket was exceptional and perfect temperature butter .
I would recommend the restaurant to everyone .
Thank you for accommodating a party of 7. The food was outstanding with a great wine list. We especially liked the dessert sampler. Joe, our waiter, was awesome.
Lovely restaurant for a quiet anniversary setting
