The Gables Restaurant is pleased to announce that we are now open!

The Gables Restaurant in Newgate Street Village is the social hub within the local community, we are conveniently located for Cuffley, Potters Bar, Hertford and Cheshunt offering fine dining with a range of Mediterranean cuisine.
Whether you’re celebrating with friends and family or planning a romantic dinner for two our relaxed atmosphere is sure to provide the perfect setting. We also offer seated and buffet style party functions in our cocktail bar area or for larger parties in our restaurant area.

    Booked a table for 4 adults, 2 children plus a high chair. Moved from the original table to a more spacious one (their suggestion). Food was excellent, Meatballs for the children, veal and fish for adults. Wine was excellent too. Service fabulous ... attentive and really good humour. Will return. Pattie.

    The service and attention to detail was outstanding. We were a party of 4, nothing was too much trouble, flexibility on the menu, excellent service and value for money. 5 stars

    As usual, faultless service from the team & lovely food. A New Specials “calzone” starter was a great choice, followed by an old favourite of seafood linguine & banoffee. Always enjoy popping in at short notice for a bite here to avoid cooking at home, and bagged a quality takeaway pizza for the adult-child left at home!

    Lovely staff and good with allergies. Delicious food and a smart classy ambience. Great for a special treat. The starters are over expensive but the rest is a fair value.

    We decided to try somewhere new for my wife’s birthday. The Gables was just the ticket, very much a mature audience (I think Sade was playing at one point). The food was really good, kudos to the chef. The staff were attentive, but not overbearing. There were a few steps so maybe be mindful if limited mobility.
