    I had the Barramundi and it was excellent. Everyone loved their meals: Skirt Steak, Filet and Lamb Chops. We brought our own wine and were charged $25/btl corkage - which is fair! We had a lovely time. Would definitely recommend to friends.

    Food in general was very good, although one of the tapas came cold. We had to resend it to get it heated. Service was not great. Waiter apologised as it took him a long time to come to take the order, drinks came after the food and waiter forgot about the tapas we sent back to get heated…..

    Brunch here is always a treat. We went when they were having live music which was lovely. Best French toast in the world! Wonderful service. The owners are often there and love to assist in picking one of their amazing cocktails or a glass of wine. It’s one of our favorite spots.

    Every food dish was fire! Genuinely, no complaints about the food. The drink we had with our meal was also delicious. The only drawback was my dessert wine order was mixed up and the new option wasn’t the best. Overall, server was really attentive and offered great suggestions on the menu.

    Overall I would have liked the food more if it hadn’t been rated so highly on the Michelin app! I went in expecting fireworks and instead got an okay meal. We spent about 80$ per person with food and drinks and were overall disappointed. Some food was good, other food wasn’t. For example, the potato croquettes were amazing, but the pork belly was awful. We found other items bland as well. Also we made a reservation on open table, but when we got there the kitchen was going to close in twenty minutes! Open table needs to adjust their reservation times to give people enough time to order

    Upon being seated a card is left on your table stating your 2 hour time limit. Not a classy policy. They put all our order in at once. We were in and out in 45 minutes. Of our food the Barramundi was really good. The Glazed Pork Belly was 90% fat. Not good. My wife's cocktail was good. Mine was not good. I left it on the table. If you are in a hurry and want fast, expensive food, this is the place.

We have 2-hour time limits to make sure that all guests are seated in a timely manner and do not have to wait. It is very important to us that guests have a great time and have as short a wait as possible and this has proven to be the best way.

    We had an amazing server, Ricky. He kept the food coming at a great pace without being over bearing or obtrusive. The food was amazing! I loved the dates and the grilled peach toast was out of this world. I strongly suggest you try their old fashioned if you like bourbon. It was excellent!

    I read about Gabi James in an article in the Daily Breeze about the best paella in the South Bay. After living in Spain for 2 years, I have been on the hunt for good paella in the US. While it's impossible to duplicate the taste - this paella was phenomenal. The seafood was excellent and the rice was seasoned to perfection. Also had their oxtail which was also wonderful. Can't wait to go back and have been talking about my wonderful meal to all my neighbors.

    It’s great to eat some Spanish cuisine and tapas which are overall good/yummy. Definitely overpriced tho! The paella was for 1 serving (as considered in Spain) and was $42!!! Yikes! So just expect to be paying a hefty price for the cuisine :)

    It was our first experience at Gabi James,  and everything was outstanding!  My friend and I both have visited Spain and thus love the tapas style dining. The restaurant exceeded our expectations! We were there for brunch, and the seating was lovely on the patio, and our server Joseph was the best! Would highly recommend and can’t wait to return!

    A very frustrating experience. It seemed there was lots of staff, but it was almost impossible to get service. Bad management, I think. We sat for a long time before they took our drink order, so we ordered drinks and food at the same time. The food came out way before the drinks ever got to the table. Anything we needed after that, we had to flag someone down. The food was ok, the drinks were ok and when we mentioned to the manager the food was warm, not hot he just said that's the way it is. What?

    We always want our experience at Gabi James to be something more, I guess. The food we had (shishito peppers, tortilla with jamon, paella, spinach with pine nuts, bread) was good, especially the peppers. The paella was yummy, although we thought the chorizo overtook the flavors somewhat. We were disappointed in the service for a couple of reasons: bread didn't come after two requests, plain water was poured into sparkling water, one server seemed to have an attitude with us although tried to hide it. To be fair, they did not charge us for the bread and actually gave us another discount. We also wish the outside had a more welcoming feel...maybe a few plants, tablecloths, not paper menus. I guess that's ok for a cheaper restaurant but we think they are trying to be more than that. This was just our experience. People around us seemed to be happy and enjoying their food. Even with these minor complaints, we recommend you go there and enjoy!

    This was my first visit to Gabi James, I was looking for Tapas nearby and OpenTable suggested it, the menu looked good and the comments were positive so we decided to give it a try, and were very glad that we did! They have a great list of interesting cocktails, I started with a Spanish Negroni, which was gin, vermouth and sherry, it was delicious. The menu is organized by size of plates, small, medium, large, as well as salads and sides. We were in the mood for small plates but several of the large plates looked great and we'll definitely be coming back to try a few of them out soon. They allow you to order gradually, not having to decide on everything all at once, which was good because we would've over ordered otherwise. We had the eggplant fries and jamon wrapped dates as our first course, both of which were delicious, the aioli they served with the eggplant fries was a perfect combination. For round two we had the charred asparagus with a panko crusted friend egg and romanesco sauce, and pork belly, both of which were also amazing. After cocktails we switched to wine by the glass, and there is a Gabi James wine that is a medium bodied red that paired very well with the food. The dessert list wasn't very exciting and we were pretty full after two rounds of food and drinks so we didn't order one of the three options available. The pricing was reasonable and the service was friendly, it was a bit chilly on the outdoor patio, even with the provided lap blankets and heaters, but on a warmer evening it would be a wonderful place to dine al fresco. I'm glad that we discovered them and we will be back soon to try other things.

    My wife and I are receptive customers, first time we brought our visiting family, 2nd time a business colleague and this 3rd time we brought a Belgium friend couple. For us as native Europeans this feels like home in terms of food and the quality of the ingredients that are being used. The overal decor looks nice at first, but we strongly recommend to have dinner outside instead of inside as the inside acoustics are pretty noisy, so it gives us a little bit the cantina feeling, however is looks nice. Very much like the tapas idea, but also the option to have a main dish for those who don't really like to share food.

    Excellent food, excellent service, excellent ambiance, go here and enjoy a great evening. Sat outside in the late June evening and had a terrific meal. We had the tortilla (with jamon), a sardine on sourdough, and a paella. All were excellent, and the Jell-O shots were a fun touch. Would/will go again

    Our family loves everything about Gabi James. We come weekly and love the vibe, music, food, drinks, service, and all the kind hearted (but super hard working) people who work at Gabi James. The potato croquettes are amazing, their shishito peppers are addicting, their steak is cooked perfectly (we order medium rare), and the quality and taste of the steak can hang with that of The Rex. Our daughter orders the kids pasta (with extra cheese of course lol), but also loves stealing half of our calamari and oxtail ragu meat. Lol Speaking of the oxtail, if you’ve never tried it, you NEED to. We bring people from out of town just to taste their oxtail which has been slow cooked and just melts in your mouth like heaven in a bite. As for their specialty drinks, husband and I stick to the Gabi James G&Ts, which are a refreshing twist on a G&T, but way better. My dad and sister love their Beach Cruiser. The owners, Adam and Sarah spare no expense on stocking their restaurant with an expansive selection of difficult to find alcohols plus just a delicious variety of local spirits and brews. Everyone is warm and welcoming at the restaurant and will treat you like family. Everyone hustles to help all the tables, not just their own, which makes the service all the better. We look forward to dining their every week, as do our daughters. See you next week, guys! :)

    Nice variety of items on the menu, would have been great for a larger group sharing multiple items! My husband had the pork chop and I had the lamb chop, both were excellent. The charred asparagus was unique and very tasty. We sat outside, the restaurant let us know in advance that it could be cool so we dressed accordingly (they had heat lamps, of course). I also noticed they had lap blankets available for customers, a nice touch! Eating outside was probably noticeably quieter than inside, so that all worked well for us. Would definitely recommend!
