    I had no idea what to expect culinary wise in Ohio or at the hotel restaurant but this was outstanding. My friend and I split smaller plates, like carrots, salmon ceviche, roasted tomato. Top notch food for the price too.

    Food was good but Salmon was a small portion. The tomato starter was like a soup, description was misleading. Would definitely return. Flavors were great and other entrees looked more plentiful.

    I stayed at the Hilton for a conference and dined at FYR for breakfast, lunch and two dinners. Overall they make tasty food, but it’s very slow and the service is uneven. Some of the side dishes (dinner) are a little too imaginative (the eggplant was more of a spicy chutney for instance) and better off as appetizers or tapas. Like most sexy restaurants, the drinks were too pricy for the strength, although they looked good. FYR is great for breakfast and lunch, but really only okay for dinner. Worth it to go once during your stay but twice was pushing it for me.

    I was in Columbus for a conference and decided to try FYR for a dinner with colleagues. What a wonderful experience! We enjoyed several tapas and two desserts. I will definitely recommend the restaurant in the future!

    Our server did not mention that any of the items on the menu were not available. When we went to put our orders in —that is when she said they were out of the salmon ceviche, which we wanted.. and the lamb shank, which we also wanted. This should have been the first thing she mentioned to the table when going over the menu. Flavors for the food were good, but prices were very steep—for our $30 scallop dish there were only 2 scallops. The restaurant was beautiful.

    Our server, Adam was amazing. Courteous, and fun! Food was prepared as requested and they were able to easily accomodate my soy, dairy and gluten allergy.

    It was a good experience, but had the feel of a hotel restaurant rather than a stand alone establishment. By that, I mean that the prices and quality reflected an expectation for a crowd that's expense reporting their meals. In a market like Columbus, I just don't feel FYR would survive unless it was attached to a Hilton.

    Awesome food, I had the Amish chicken and my wife had the salmon and they were delicious. The atmosphere just amazing being downtown with all the lights in the windows, also the stories bar at the top of the hotel is amazing.

    Great place for breakfast. Service was amazing, manager visible and stopped by our table several times to check in on our dining experience. Recommend reservations on weekends as restaurant was very busy and full both Saturday and Sunday.

    The food was overpriced for what was actually produced. Presentation was lacking for the price point, and this was on top of our server pouring water onto a guest’s hand and the table when refilling water. Their response was to say ‘you good? Do you want a towel or something?’ and quite literally handed the diner a wet kitchen towel to clean up the water themselves. The chef came by as the guest was cleaning their own table, no reaction.

    My husband went to FYR Short North in Columbus and all I can say is Wow!! The experience was one to remember. 5 stars across the board. The bartender was awesome and made amazing drinks. Our waiter Mykel was top notch, and Chris the director made sure our night ended on a great note. We will definitely be back!

    Beautiful! Delicious! Great location! The Cesar salad was the best ever! But overall - way overpriced. (Scallops on the entree menu should really be an appetizer or small plate.) Regarding service, it was not the level one would have expected, additional training is needed.

    We ate two meals at Fyr while in Columbus, lunch and dinner. Both were fabulous. If you only eat two dishes, you must try the carpaccio and Chef’s Grandmother’s flan.

    We had the roasted tomato, beetroot salad, gnocchi souffle and skirt steak. Everything was cooked to perfection - you could taste every ingredient, very thoughtful and expertly prepared. Service was attentive and friendly. Ambience was fantastic - even fully packed, you can easily have a conversation with your table without shouting. All around A+ experience.

    We stopped in on our way home from Cleveland to Dayton. We had not been to this restaurant before and were blown away. The roasted tomato appetizer and the Caesar salad were wonderful. The chicken was roasted to perfection. The eggplant and carrots were the perfect side dishes. Our server Adam, was knowledgeable and helpful and guided us through the meal. Can’t recommend enough. We will absolutely be back!

    A coworker and I were visiting from Georgia on a business trip and found FYR online. It was a fantastic experience from the moment we arrived. We were seated and the host pulled out our chairs, he even offered to take our coats. Our server arrived and had impressive knowledge of the menu and helped us with our selections, he was an absolute gem. Chef Sebastian even checked in on us and was an absolute professional, and extremely nice. We will definitely be visiting FYR when we are back in Columbus, Ohio!!

    One of our top 2 or 3 favorites in Columbus. Everything brought to the table is outstanding. The beet salad alone is worth coming for (I’m serious!). Also try the fire-grilled tomato. So many restaurants cannot get duck right; at FYR it is an absolute delicacy. And don’t skip dessert. Beautiful decor, beautiful setting, great location. Great to have a server who takes her job seriously and the chef always comes out to say hello. Thanks Katharine, thanks Sebastian!

    Fyr was a delight. It stands on it's own as one of Columbus' Outstanding restaurants. The dinners were a joy to experience. So many interesting flavors to taste. Miquel, our server was excellent. He explained the whole menu and recommended choices. We went to Fyr knowing that we could explore the flavors of Argentina. The arugula beet root salad was a perfect light starter. The ember cooked scallops dusted in crunchy corn with a delicious foundation sauce was exceptional. The side of Papas, smashed potatoes charred were a treat. We accompanied our dinner with wine from Argentina and the Grand Finally was Grandma's Caramel Flan with a dollop of smooth creamy caramel next to the perfect flan. Miquel explained that it was made in the restaurant. The atmosphere was calm, lovely and spacious. It was a delightful evening.

    Overall a good experience with our first time at FYR... cocktails were great... atmosphere is pretty cool. We were on our way to a game so we had dinner extremely early... The rest of the restaurant was fairly quiet as we were well in advance of the normal saturday night dinner rush... Overall food was pretty good. Some of the dishes were fantastic and others kinda missed the mark... We had a group of 8 and shared and tried most things on the menu. The tomato appetizer and the empanadas were great and I really loved the poached lobster and eggplant side dish. The duck with cheese sauce was different and pretty delicious as well... We will go back at some point...

    Our food was extraordinary and the service was impeccable. We visited TYR last October-the food was very good during that visit, but the difference during this visit was quite dramatic. We cannot recommend FYR more -please visit this restaurant. The only recommendation we would have, would be to play more low-key midi ..
