We loved everything about this place from the moment we were welcomed to when we left. Food was amazing, flavours were incredible. Definitely coming back
Terrible food and no value.
Amazing! Brought two friends from overseas/interestate and felt very proud to take them to such a cool place with delicious food, great atmosphere and service.
Really excited to see another great modern japanese place in Richmond for us locals. We went to celebrate a birthday, chose the chef menu option number 2. The food was superb we could not fault any of the dishes served. The drinks were also really good, nice selection of cocktails. Only one suggestion would be to add another main and perhsps small dish to acommpany because we were certainly not completely full ar the end, also felt the dessert at the end being just one small dish to share between two was not quite enough. So when comparing to orsering al carte, we questioned later the value versus the chefs menu. However we would return as the food is excellent!
Great experience, great food and atmosphere. Very warm service, would recommend and god back.
Great atmosphere, excellent service with lovely share plates.
We will definitely be returning.
A superb food and wine experience. It was a perfect location for a family reunion. The feeling was intimate and the service personal.
The food was absolutely fabulous. Future future is a hidden gem on crazy Swan st.
Everything we ordered was a taste sensation. I can't name one dish as a favourite as they were all amazing.
Definitely coming back.
This is the second time I've been to this restaurant. My partner couldn't remember being there the first time. My point being, this restaurant is not a stand out restaurant. It's good, but not wow amazing, you really have to try it for it's amazing food, blah. I would only recommend this restaurant to someone if they said they wanted to eat Japanese in Richmond, but at the same time, I'd be recommending other Japanese restaurants to give them the choice.
Love it hear. Food is always exceptional! Highly recommend
The group went for the Chef's menu ichi ban ($59pp) last night, which had a lovely variety of dishes and the servings were just right. The menu included a fresh cucumber starter, pumpkin agedashi tofu, raw kingfish (pictured), fried eggplant in chilli oil and dashi, fried chicken karaage (best I've had so far & I'm not a fried chicken person), meatball katsu-sando (pictured), salmon donburi and dashi green tea broth, a side of japanese greens, and a light matcha & sake tiramisu to end the night.
The Quealy MP Pinot Grigio matched beautifully with the food. The Fuji Sour cocktail was also delicious with it's fuji apple whisky. Definitely check it out, lovely vibes for a catchup or a date. 😉
Best restaurant in Melbourne, we had an amazing time and will be back!
Fabulous food great flavours and wonderful service - the restaurant has a terrific feel and we both loved it
Love the food here. Great service. Can't wait for the warmer weather to be able to sit in the outside space.
Fabulous food amazing French waitress and hostess extremely knowledgeable enthusiastic and very professional. We enjoyed our evening , great music innovative Japanese food . Beautiful wines great selection of sake . We will definitely be back , I have already recommended this restaurant to several friends and clients everyone has good things to say .
Restaurant is not as good as it was when opened. Sat in private room near kitchen- overwhelmed by smell of dishwashing liquid which smelt like bleach. Food expensive for what you get. Chicken skewers were not nice.
Tried here for our 10th anniversary. Overall pretty good but I wasn’t blown away. I would give it another try to see what the other items on the menu are like.
I thought sending people upstairs to wait in a room was a little odd especially as there were no staff up there to direct you or get you a drink while you wait (a waitress did come a little while after with some drinks but only when we had gone back down stairs to see what was going on). Also my bill was wrong (was sorted quickly when I pointed it out).
We got the Omakase for 2, it was pretty good, not as amazing as I had hope or as the reviews stated. I don't think it was good value for money based on what you got and the dessert was a let down. It was my companion's birthday and they bought out a tiny piece of tiramisu cake with a candle on it for us to share - it was smaller than your usual piece of cake. Would've been nice to finish with one of the desserts on the menu! Overall, average. Would I go back for the price? No.
The food took one away from the Japanese Classics with a twist towards a modern inclusion. The Sandos were great. The noise level a tad too high and one could do with keeping the music level lower.
Overall a good inclusion for the Richmond area.
Food was great. Had a nice little spot on the bar in front of the kitchen.
Service was good and attentive but really rushed us out at the end of our meal when we decided against ordering desserts or another round of drinks.
Loved it - great food and service. Highly recommend this restaurant if you're going in a smaller group
Best Japanese fusion with very good service. Will definitely comeback
Magnificent food and helpful staff that went out of their way to accommodate a late expanded booking. Don't try and make changes to your booking via the online booking on the day as it does not work
DELICIOUS! Catered well for our range of needs, service was attentive, venue was beautiful. Everything we ordered was great, and everything else we saw coming out gave us serious food envy. I’ll be back for sure.
The food and service were excellent. We had the Chefs Table and would highly recommend it both for variety and value. A great way to sample the menu. Only draw back was that the room was a little cold. There was a heater so they knew it was cold but it wasn't enough.
The most amazing Japanese food I’ve experienced outside of Japan! The freshness and flavours were fabulous! Thank you.
Always such a treat to dine here...my absolute fav!
The food was very good but quite rich for Japanese. The space is very pleasant and ambient noise at a level that allowed conversation . My wine glass broke and that was dealt with in a bit of a strange way - as my plate was taken away but then not replaced . When I asked for another the waitress said "Oh i thought you weren't eating !" However , we had a great night !
Generally cool vibe and decor. Great concept. Wine list not extensive, food interesting and generally good, but not great. Had an upset tummy after dinner unfortunately. Can only assume it was from this meal. Sorry!
Good vibes, we had the chefs option, definitely a decent amount of food and we’ll presenter. Cocktails and Sake, a good night out.
So fresh and delicious! Loved watching the kitchen prepare it all, so much care and effort put into each and every meal. Very obvious they care a lot.
We got the chefs menu which had a nice variety of dishes - all of them were delicious. The staff recommendations for sake were great!
Our second time here and will definitely come back. The only complaint is that we actually couldn’t get through the chefs selection menu!
Beautiful food and wine, New York lofty style ambience. Knowledgable staff, very happy and have just rebooked for the third time to take a different group of friends.
Good except that service was a little lacking. Requested online for a table (not bench) as it was for a birthday celebration and then called the day before to confirm, however, when we arrived we were on a bench!! Were then awkwardly waiting and shuffled around until they sorted it. This also happened on a seperate occasion a few months ago... need to read booking notes!
What a beautiful space and such wonderful staff. Nothing was too much bother. The complimentary tea and seeds were delicious and the meal that followed sublime. Thank you very much team.
Always receive the BEST service at Future Future. Staff are friendly and attentive. The food is always delicious and so many great GF options. An absolute favourite!!
Small portions of food that is expensive.
The waitress poured a different red wine into a different glass of wine.
We bought a bottle of wine then once we opened it was told the table is needed by next group and to go outside.
It was freezing and should have been told before being given a $70 bottle of wine.
Overall a couple of dishes were delicious but none of the group would said they would go back.
Delicious yet again. Will be back again soon. Thanks for a great night.
Great food! Fun vibes! Definitely worth a visit!
Great location with fun atmosphere inside.
