Perfect For:

Chef, restaurateur and cookbook author Scott Conant debuts Fusco, his first solo New York City restaurant in nearly a decade. Named for his grandmother Carminella Fusco, who embodied old-world hospitality, the restaurant is located in the former Veritas space in the bustling Gramercy neighborhood, offering an upscale approach to Italian cuisine in an elegant setting.

Designed by Brian Leister, Fusco evokes a warm and welcoming vibe reminiscent of one's own home. A sophisticated bar and high-top seating area opens into an intimate dining room, where guests gather in cozy banquettes over Conant's house-made pastas and Italian fare, served with a thoughtful selection of new and old world wines. Suspended above, chandeliers add a gilded glint to the softly lit space.

the food at lunch was mediocre at best - and the service was even worse. we waited nearly an hour for our main courses and not one member of the waitstaff ever approached our table to either give an explanation or see if we wanted more wine, water, etc.
Fusco has received much hype but i won't go back.

Unexceptional but pleasant food. Seems over-hyped and not quite up to the chef's reputation.
Expensive too.

Congratulations to Scott and the team for a terrific venue. We dined as our last night in NYC after 14 days, before returning to Melbourne Australia. It was a must go to, given our family name is "Fusco"! The team was terrific, the food and wine list exceptional. This establishment capped off a dream holiday for us and proud that is does the family name proud!!!

NIce ambiance, good food, and we could actually hear each other! We were a party of 6 so that is often challenge. The mushroom polenta that we shared around the table was outstanding. Wine list could use some more moderate choices. We would definitely recommend Fusco for a good dining experience.

The food is tasty but not over the top or 4 stars, the wine list is thin and corkage is $75.

Kasz was a lovely server and he helped make my friend's birthday celebration very special. Also, the short rib appetizer was bomb.

I love the atmosphere and I had a pasta at the bar a Weeks ago and wanted to go back. So I booked a table at 6:15 before show. I told the waiter I needed to be out by 730.

The food came very very quickly and the waiter was great.

However beware - everything was extremely salty. Extremely. It was right on the verge of me sending it back. I had the diver scallops which were enormous and the roast chicken.

Additionally at 7:45 I realized the time and grabbed the bill. I asked for my coat and had to dash out. They didn’t give me what else I checked at the coatcheck and because I was dashing I forgot to ask for it. No one has called or followed up with me. Kind of odd.

Additionally they offer amuse bouche to anyone who goes regularly - but not to new customers (unless you ask). Odd.

I like the decor. Wine list is great. The service was kind but definitely not very attentive to details, and the food was very salty...

I will go back to see if this was a one time thing because the menu is yummy.

I have always admired Scott Conan's genius in the kitchen. His L'Impero was ground breaking in that regard. I still cant forget the polenta with mushroom sauce, or the simple yet most perfectly done spaghetti pomodoro; or the skate with caramelized onions and diced potato with pesto sauce...or his signature pana cotta! Some of these signature offerings are available in Fusco with twist. We very much enjoyed our outing and look forward to another visit.

The food and service was impeccable. We went on Monday evening early and it wasn’t busy. Our waiter Zach was great, very knowledgeable on the menu and helped us find something each of us would enjoy. The other staff was kind and considerate and kept our water full and the table clean. Would highly recommend to anyone in NYC.

They accommodated our request for an earlier arrival. The waitstaff was well orchestrated, attentive, and unobtrusive, all at once.

The food was lovely, well portioned, and delicious. Wine just right, as were cocktails.

Timing was well paced. We were neither rushed nor forgotten.

All in all, a lovely post matinee birthday dinner to be repeated in the near future!

This restaurant is wonderful, but the hightop seating is kind of lackluster. We sat at the high tops facing the street and they are awkward and definitely difficult for the servers to get to. Moreover, the servers definitely forget about them - we weren’t offered new drinks with the meal, so why get more than one drink? The food was delicious. We got the short rib for first, and the gnocchi and spaghetti for our mains. All really good food, perfect temperature and it was a great meal. Only downside was the inattentive service and the seating. I would definitely go back but would not sit at the high tops.

FUSCO is another example on how a restaurant should conduct them selves perfection! Scott Contant is not just your typical celebrity chef but mastering the art of making you feel the food experience, from the time my wife and I walked into FUSCO they made us feel welcomed. From creative drinks, to the outstanding food Selection, such as the Mushroom Sugo, pasta al Pomodoro, Duck Agnolotti all cooked to perfection and let’s not for get desert Tiramisu “Affogato” all must haves.

This is was truly a 5 Star experience!

Very pleasant elegant surroundings. The food is quite nice but many of the pasta dishes are much too rich. The servers, mostly young nonprofessionals, can be a bit overbearing. You can easily double the $48 prix fixe by having a cocktail and a glass of wine but this could be said of just about anyplace you go!

I am disappointed that I didn't photograph each and every course of the Chef's tasting menu that our large party all decided to indulge in as the presentation was second only to the taste or each course. We were met and sat immediately by a gracious host, allowed to settle in with INCREDIBLE cocktails and delicious wines by the glass without any rush. Our server, Gerald, took time to explain to our table all our choices including three prix fixe choices, and based upon the description and reputation, we chose Chef Conant's tasting menu. WOW. Other than having to apologize to staff and other diners who were amused and not annoyed at several of our party using expletives to describe the courses as they hit the table, the night was an incredible culinary journey. An amazing mix of meats, vegetables, seafood, grains and pastas, each dish was perfectly prepared and amazingly seasoned. While many tasting menus or prix fixe meals have me searching for a slice of pizza on the way home, as we walked out of Fusco, everyone in our party was stuffed and each remarked it was one of the best meals they had ever had. Grazie Mille Chef Conant, and the incredible staff at Fusco...we can't wait to try your new restaurant at Resorts World Catskills this spring!
