They gave me a hard time using a Groupon on Valentines Day. The server and manager said it was a holiday, and they had to charge me the full price. I showed them the Groupon stating that the only time it could not be used was during Happy Hour. I went back and forth multiple times with the server and manager regarding this, until the manager finally said the Groupon went through. The food is expensive, it was not worth the price as the dinner was supbar. The appetizers were ok. Overall, I would say that this place is not worth your visit.

Appetizer came out same time as salads. Seemed to be a problem getting the food out and waiter was ver inattentive.

Bread was brought from store and not even heated in oven. Low class. Tuna was from frozen and for the price I paid it should have been fresh. You are better of at Friday’s or Chili’s for half the price and better food. Avoid at all cost

The atmosphere was nice, yet a bit formal. The food was subpar at best. We ordered filet and it was a very small piece that was dry, flavorless and almost inedible. Another ordered the tuna steak at the recommendation of the waitress/waiter and it was very over cooked. We will definitely not be back.

My chicken had a weird texture and taste. My husbands fish was good. The green beans were undercooked.almost like they were just cooked a minute. It was no concern to the waitress that i only ate my potatoes.always wanted to try the place, but not again!

Second time eating at this establishment and it was just as good, if not better, than the first time. The snapper was wonderful as was the stuffed avocado. Only wish we would have had room for dessert! Service was great, we did make reservations & glad we did because they were turning people away.

On 1/9 I arrived at 8:30 pm for an 8:45 pm reservation. We were seated at 9 pm. After taking our drink order, the waiter said: “By the way, we’re not serving food right now because the kitchen is backed up.” Major fail. We won’t be back.

We had a nice time, food tasted good, I brought my girlfriend for her birthday and they celebrated the occasion amazingly. The price is a bit on the upper side, but it was worth it, is great for special occasions.

Everything was spot on, from the fast friendly service...the unique, tasty food and the Drag show was very entertaining...it was a great night!

The food that came out was prepared hours before restaurant opening and then heated up to serve per the manager statement. Overall, better than average. Most of the food is very good. My only real gripe was there salad dressing. Seems silly, but for a restaurant that is so nice to have obviously bottled salad dressing is very disappointing. Spend the extra effort and hand-make your dressings please.

The entertainment was very energetic, however; the food is not what is being advertise on the website. My guest I invited were very disappointed because of it, but enjoyed the show

I would go here for good wine and maybe appetizers, but not for a meal. Most of the things on the menu you can make at home. It’s a bit over priced. The wait staff is very nice and accommodating. If you have friends coming to town, this would be a nice place for drinks.

We were a party of 7 and very few people were in the restaurant. Good food but it took a long time for it to come out of the kitchen.

We highly enjoyed the Entertainment. The ladies did a great job.

We had the Magical Dining $35 three course dinner. The fried goat cheese with was accompanied by a roasted pepper or tomato spread which was sweet and added a nice layer of flavor. The Orange chicken was flavorful and moist. The Beef Tenderloin was beautifully cooked with a wonderful herb coating. The Creme Brulee was de-licious.

We didn't expect there to be a show the night we celebrated my birthday, but it was a happy surprise. The food and service was great and the Drag Show was entertaining. I would go again when I'm in the area and I would recommend it to my friends.

We order orange chicken, the chicken was SOOO dry that I needed water to get it down. It had no taste or favors or any kind. They ran out of mashed potatoes and they gave me boiled cut potatoes and they had no taste and was awful, I'll never go back.

After ordering out meal (there were 9 of us). Waiter came back 4 or 5 times to tell us the kitchen was out of this or that. Took a new order and then came back again with kitchen is out of that. Ended up they had 2 or 3 entrees we could choose. The ahi tuna looked like a veal scalloping - I didn't think it could be so small, the swordfish was cold and rubbery, the Waiter poured wine like it was water - spilling it all over the table. He tried hard to make us happy and apologized over and over for the kitchen and short comings. One of the worst meals in the last 10 years. Will never be back

Joel was a great server! They have a great special going w half off a bottle of wine over $70 (magical dining deal). Appetizers were delicious stuffed avocado and fried goat cheese. Entree meats were very good and cake was huge for dessert! Only negative was the sides weren't up to par w a fine dining restaurant (instant potatoes). But we will come back it was great and would be fun for a group! Very entertaining show!!

Left an honest but polite 2 star review on Funky Monkey's Facebook page on 9/15. On 11/26 they commented telling me that I am a moron and they don't want my business. This prompted me to look into the more. Make sure you check out the health departments webpage and see all the things they have been shut down for in the past and don't make the mistake that I did. Disgusting!

Good food. Great service. Good value for Magical Dining. But having NOTHING to do with Funky Monkey, great friends with me. Willie was a great server.

We were disappointed that they no longer have the floor show; but we were happy to see the expanded menu and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! Our server was wonderful and put up with our silly antics.

Back for more and still as nice. The patio was closed but when we asked they immediately accepted to seat us outside. When we left after our meal the patio was packed 😁. Thanks for a very pleasant evening.

We chose Funky Monkey for a friend's get together because we didnt want somewhere too loud like some of the other restaurants at the Pointe. It was quiet, but it disappointed in all other aspects. The service was slow, the bartender tried "too hard" to make drinks when i just wanted a simple Vodka/club soda, instead it came with muddled fruit and some kind of syrup. So it ended up being too sweet, te opposite of what I wanted. The crab cakes were utterly inedible. Both of those items were taken off. My friend waited 30 min after all other food was served for her chicken and waffles and it was subpar, and there was only a very small amount of chicken. Would not recommend.

When we arrived for our reservation they wanted to collect a cover charge due to a show that started 90 minutes after our reservation. We were not interested in the show, planned to be wrapping up by the time it started and were not told about it at the time if reservation. In the end, they accommodated us but it was a rough start to the evening. Very unprofessional and very unorganized.

Arrived 6:30pm on a Wednesday. Only 2-3 other tables had guests. Service was very slow. Waiter didn't know much about the items we asked about on the menu. Did not receive our shrimp dumplings but were charged for them. Did not realize it until next day...shame on use for not thoroughly checking our bill. Good chance we will not go back there.

Read some of the negative opinions on Open Table about this restaurant and I'm very pleased we disregarded them. We had different appetisers and entrees and they were excellent. The host was friendly, the service professional and the ambiance on the patio was very nice. We usually go to Maggiano's and the Blue Martini but we're definitely adding the Monkey to our list.

We made a reservation for 10:00pm on OpenTable. Turns out they closed at that time that night and an employee shook his head "No" as we signaled him at the side door. Then as we walked across to another restaurant, he went by the front door, stood there, and watched us walking away. RUDE as hell! That's not good customer service.
