Food and service were great!! We loved it and had a great dining experience!!
Yes this is very good and clean place, since it open about 30 of my friends and family have been. 2 of my sister and husband were there last night and I’ll be back tonight
Having been at the original FUMO, which i really liked, i was really disappointed in the new FUMO. I ordered chicken, which came out raw inside and drowning in sauce, even though i asked for it plain. my friend ordered the GRILLED chicken parm and instead got the fried chicken parm. Pasta was average at best. also, the restaurant lacked the charm of the original and it was so super loud that we could barely hear each other speak. will not return.
I love Fumo uptown and this location is as consistent!
All was great, nice addition to the upper west side!
Install ceiling sound buffers, particularly in back room
very noisy; music is totally unnecessary. So much glass makes this restaurant noisy so why have the music on top of it ?
LOVE THIS PLACE!
The first time we went there, we loved it. This past time (our second visit) with a party of 5 was not so good. Service extremely slow, and they forgot one order. Drinks took forever. So noisy we couldn't hear each other talk. Had to send one dish back (the one that they originally forgot) because it was not hot enough. Will think twice before going again.
This new restaurant is popular and lively. But that's not such a good thing. It's way too loud. Listen to what Frank Bruni had to say. Those of us in the neighborhood can't go there any more to carry on a conversation. And that's a shame becuase the food is excellent and the prices are even better. We'll be moving on.
Sound from guests and the music system ricochets off the interior’s glass, tile and metal creating a noise level makes it hard to have a conversation or enjoy the food, which is actually quite tasty and reasonably priced. Sorry to say I won’t be going back because in some respects it is just what our neighborhood needed.
Great food, awesome ambiance! The carbonara was outstanding!
We’ve been at the Amsterdam location before and love the ambiance, food and service in which we expected the same at the UWS location which quite frankly didn’t mean half the standard. We had a gentleman named Miguel waiting our table and we were extremely disappointed with his service and his attitude. He told us 5 times our food would be ready I’m 5 minutes and when I brought it up to his attention his exact words were “ I only place the order for the food and not how long it takes “, a simple round of complimentary drinks would have soften that situation since we waited more than an hour for our food, the pizza we order was quick but everything else took too long and his energy really didn’t help. I hate to ever be the one to tip poorly or even bring things up to people’s attention but when you enjoy a location and have such a poor experience you take the time out to converse about situations for it not to happen again, ironically enough a friend of mine who lives in the area was also dining here and shared the same waiter as myself and also shared a similar experience with the gentlemen in which it is unacceptable to work at such a great Restaurant and location and experience something this bad that makes you never want to come here again and only take my services to your Amsterdam location. I again apologize for such a lengthy text but I was really disappointed the only good thing about our night was the gentleman working the bar who makes an awesome negroni and he was the best part of my experience leading up to my dinner reservations.
Just not for us... While we were greeted w a smile and seated promptly, things went down hill from there. The server was pleasant, however, they had already run out of one of their appetizers at 7pm, and they was no substitute offered. Food okay, service rushed and we have never had food delivered so quickly after ordering. Was it prepped in the kitchen and then just heated up? Based on the quality, I might say yes... It's a really noisy place, so take that into consideration when you book! A much younger crowd at the bar. Only when we got outside and compared notes, did we realize we were all 'making do' and this was unfortunate as both couples had driven over an hour to meet in NYC.
Fumo is a great addition to the Upper West Side area. For those who would like to have a comfortable conversation, it would be best to get there early. Otherwise, request a table close to the sidewalk, where it will be a bit less noisy. The food, service, and ambiance are fine. Certainly worth a visit.
The food was good - the service too but the noise level was so high
that it was not enjoyable.
The best meal in upper west side
Great addition to the neighborhood for casual dinner.
Sunday night $10 pasta is a catch
Very nice and very reasonable brunch. Good, fresh ingredients and just the right size portions. Coffee was really delicious!
Great food for affordable prizes. Loved their mimosas and bloody Mary's. Didnt like the Baker clams. But the spicy calamari, the margherita and ronin pizza, truffle fries and the carbonara and fungi are very good! I really like this place.
Our first time at the new Fumo. Excellent food and service. We’ll be back.
Finally SHRIMP PARMIGIANA,test try and it’s was very good. Looking forward to seeing on the menu. Thanks
VERY noisy. Otherwise, good food, service, etc. I hear they have $10 pasta on Sundays and that would be a great bargain. Three of us ordered different pasta dishes- all were delicious as was the mushroom and arugula pizza we shared as an appetizer.
I celebrated my birthday here with a group of friends and it was perfect! Thanks to the staff for great service and great food!
Lovely addition to the neighborhood! Definite go to for a casual Italian meal.
For a restaurant that recently opened this past month, Fumo certainly has its act together. Each meal we have eaten at this new establishment has been well prepared, fresh and tasty. The chief does not overburden the dishes with added salt. This is a plus for patrons who need to follow limited salt intake diets. The staff go out of their way to please. They are attentive, pleasant, and good- looking. Our hope is that Fumo will continue to maintain these high standards for years to come. Fumo is a welcome gem in the neighborhood. Bravo Stephen and staff!
We were there for my partner’s birthday. The wait staff were amazing, they surprised him with cannolis with a candle in! The bottomless drinks were incredibly generous, they kept topping up our Mimosas before we had even finished. I would go back next time in NY!
Lovely restaurant, service and staff. Good value and quality food.
Nice venue — decent but uninspired food
Very good service and food was great. This’s is my 3rd time here be back this weekend.
Nice place, food very good. My wife ordered the Fish plain, yet they put olive oil/sauce on it. She returned it and they simply washed off the sauce returning the same now cold fish. I thought that was really lousy. Otherwise food, value, ambience all good.
Attentive, friendly service from the maitre d' to waiter; good menu selections; good cooking, appealing presentations.
Great food! New and welcome addition to the neighborhood.
Enjoyed food, service a bit slow and a large party seated nearby was noisy
All main courses (party of 6) were excellent (though large)! Happy to have a Bianca pizza option back in the neighborhood. Redesign of the interior is very nicely done. We will be back!
We went on a Friday at 5:45 for my son’s birthday and the staff was very attentive and accommodating. The special lamb chops were well seasoned and delicious. The barrimundi was also great. The staff brought out an amazing tiramisu and sang happy birthday. We will definitely be back!
A favorite of mine since they opened up in Harlem a few years ago, I was super excited to see a new location pop up. The decor and atmosphere are charming and chic, the service was so on point and the food, as always, delicious. Sincerely a wonderful experience!
Great new spot! Great addition to the neighborhood - great, staple Italian food and very reasonable prices. Nice wine list as well. Ambiance has the feel of a downtown restaurant. Definitely recommend
