Fumi Hibachi and Sushi Bar
It is a very nice restaurant, food is great. Great experience, my daughter loved it! The only thing we did not like was that even though we had a reservation we still had to wait for 30 mins for a Habachi table!
Valentine’s Day dinner date
Overall the experience was great as I ve been to fumi many times for lunch and dinner. We chose to go on Valentine's day for this particular review. The issue with our experience was more so the poor organization of checking in guests. You could tell the hostesses were overwhelmed and were giving different directives to people if they came up to the front to ask. They should've had someone go down the line to check who had reservations or not and what time so that they could seat guests more effectively and communicate to guests arriving. They should set up a different procedure for busier days. Other than that the wait staff and chef were great. The Roses were thoughtful to share with guests.
Valentine’s dinner. A little chaotic at the host stand, but understandable for what they were dealing with. Everything else was outstanding. I will definitely be coming back again!!
Great ambiance to spend with your girlfriend, family, and friends.
Quick service, nice staff, great service, great food! Too small tables for two people , could hardly contain food orders and drinks. Place is classy but if you hardly fit stuff on the table, it doesn’t appear classy anymore as it’s too tight and not comfortable to move.
The place was great! No bad things to say...everything was wonderful.
Food was delicious and the service was wonderful, just wish the portion on the food was a little bit more.
It was not my first visit but it was my first at the hibachi. The chef and server we're wonderful and wait wasn't too long after we were seated.
The food was ok however a bit overpriced for my wife & I. Not sure if we will return
Fumi had a good run. I feel like they have fallen off. Waitress was rude.
Celebrated my birthday and it was my first time there. It was a great experience.
Food, service and drinks were excellent. Can't wait to go back
Best fried rice I have ever had.
We had a reservation and it took over 30 minutes to get seated. There was no-one at our table...it was just a slow seating process. Once seated it took over 20 minutes to get a drink and then a delay in getting the service start. The seafood was cooked well but the steak and chicken was over cooked.
Great atmosphere but poor service and disappointed in the food.
My husbands birthday
Horrible doesn’t begin to describe the experience. Reservation through Open Table for 7:30. First, they didn’t have the reservation on “the system” despite a confirmation email. Then told us we’d just have to wait with everybody else (hour plus wait) and blew it off. Finally sat us in the bar but after 30 minutes still hadn’t brought our drinks. Ended up just walking out. Never again.
Beautiful decor! We were seated in a relatively quiet area near the sushi bar. Very cozy and wonderful not to have to yell at each other. Food and service were really good. Looking forward to going back to try the hibachi area with larger group of friends.
Came to celebrate my daughter birthday they forgot to bring the rice for one person ask like 3 times for the rice they never came to check on our drinks but they charge 48.79 on tips I will never come back again
The food was good, maybe slightly better than Kani House. Prices were much higher than KH but the interior is far superior at Fumi
We were celebrating a friend’s birthday. No one had eaten at this restaurant before. The ambiance and decor was lovely as soon as you enter the restaurant. We were seated immediately at the hibachi table. The server cane immediately out and took our drink and food orders. The salad and soup came immediately. The hibachi chef came out shortly after that and began the cooking show. The food was delicious!!! My only suggestion would be to cook all the proteins together. Our meal was a bit segmented. The rice was prepared then the shrimp and scallops. Then the vegetables were served then the chicken was served last. Before the rice was was finished, the vegetables and chicken should have started cooking and lastly the shrimp and scallops. That way, you’re eating everything pretty much at the same time. But outside of that, the service was great!!! We will definitely be back.
The ambiance was nice, the hostess was great and the seating comfortable.
However, the food was bland which never happens at Hibachi restaurants. The service was also lacking so this wouldn’t be my first choice in the future.
We celebrated my daughters 21st birthday here and it was wonderful!!
We had some sushi and ordered food at the table not the Hibachi Grill. The sushi rolls were made based on what we wanted. The upcharge on one was extreme. The food was pretty decent overall. The service was just a little below average. However, in the server’s defense, they were under stafffed based on the the volume and only 2 people.
Hidden treasure in Duluth, GA. Food was great. The most modern, chic hibachi restaurant I’ve been to in Gwinnett county or Atlanta. Friendly staff. Very affordably priced for lunch (not sure about dinner). Nice background music. The chef could have been more exciting like the others but hey, he did his job...prepared an awesome meal. I’d recommend making reservations. It gets pretty busy.
While Fumi's fish quality may be on par with most average sushi eateries in Atlanta, they do offer more creative takes on rolls than most others. One particular highlight is the Tiger Roll - a unique twist that sans the seaweed and instead entwines the fish and rice with a tangy mayo sauce and a lemon slice.
But Fumi's real attraction is the atmosphere -- an almost Vegas-level feel of lighting, open space and a festive atmosphere.
We had dinner reservations at 7:30 pm and still had to wait to be seated 30 minutes. The food is no better quality than any other hibachi in the area but the cost is double. Our cook was sweet and good with kids but he made a mess and was spreading rice all over us. Even when just stirring the rice he was throwing it all over the counter and us. After he was done with our dinner he poured the cooktop grill with water and slightly scraped, another young man came and started cleaning the cook top making it all steam like a burning smell into our face while we were trying to eat. When we left to go to our New Years party we all smelled bad. I have been to many hibachi places in the area and they don’t do that like that. The cook usually scrapes away the residue of the cooktop and pours small amount of water and cleans it before he leaves. Also, the people across from us were served ice cream and we were not even offered we were rushed out of there by our waiter so next people can be seated. Nice treatment for 4 adults and 3 kids that spent $250 for dinner.
Me and my family always enjoy Fumi habachi and sushi! We took my parents there for a night out and as usual the ambiance, food, and cook were great! Unfortunately the server was extremely in attentive, slow, and forgetful! Never refilled drinks, took 30 min to get a drink from bar, never brought the kids their chops sticks we requested, had to ask more than once for a to go box. Despite the poor service he decided to add in gratuity for being a party of 7! Normally I wouldn’t mind and I have absolutely no problem tipping for good service however he gave himself a $35 tip he did not at all work for or deserve. Throwing away $35 really kind of ruins a good dinner! We top the cook bc he totally deserved it! The extra $35 for poor service was a slap in the face!
Enjoyed a delicious hibachi Christmas dinner here! Great food and service
Food was good. Service very slow. Reservation at 6pm. Didn’t get seated until 630p. Then waited another 15 minutes before someone took drink order for the table. Always has good prompt service in the past but this night it seemed they were short handed
Horrible service. Dishes left all over the table the entire evening. Received our appetizer before our waters even came. Food was good overall just not worth it when service is terrible.
Must Say the Experience at Fumi was very good. The only down size is when we made reservation for hibachi table alone and when we got there the hostess claim he couldn’t meet our request and crammed us in a small area with other guest and the restaurant wasn’t even busy at all. Other then that we really enjoyed our Christmas dinner our severer was great along with the chef being great as well. We order enough food to have leftover and really enjoyed the three glasses of plum wine.
Food was good but better on our previous visit. Service was a little slow but it was a good night overall - we'll be back. Cool atmosphere and friendly manager.
I made a reservation and someone even called to confirm my reservation. However when my party arrived we were told they could not accommodate us and there would be a two-hour wait for seating at a habachi station. They instead offered us regular seating in the corner by the bar and door. This is unacceptable especially considering the fact I made a reservation. I won’t be returning.
Date night for the wife and I. Great night out
Amazing food with impeccable service! Just noisy enough for kids, and quite enough for a romantic dinner.
Wonderful food is delicious and fresh..I will definitely return
The food was delicious and the service was excellent!
