Fulton Market Kitchen was absolutely amazing. My boss and I went in on a Monday night and our server was so great to us and made amazing recommendations. Each bite was absolutely phenomenal. I wanted to get the steak, but since we arrived late, they were all sold out, so I ended up getting the milanese, which was so delicious, but the cut was the size of my head! So I could only eat half, but it made great leftovers. My boss got the walleye and she was in love with it. We split the prusciutto and gruyere toast, which was out of this world. For dessert, we enjoyed the milk and honey. It was so light and like a dessert I've never experience. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for something fun, new, and trendy!!
We enjoyed FMK. We loved the art concept and couldn’t wait to go. Great cool spot to take it all in and be interested throughout your meal. Service was ok but a little less attentive than we prefer. Food was really good. We selected many shareable plates and all were delicious.
Portion sizes are very small for the price. Our waiter told us they are “European size.” Their happy hour goes until 7 p.m., which I appreciated. Atmosphere was nice, but I would not return. The food was just okay. If you have any food allergies, you’re out of luck. Not many options.
It’s a cool experience but overpriced. I would go again with friends but wouldn’t bring my parents again. Food was good but not amazing
Food is bland and lacks creativity. Once you factor in the price for “small plates” it’ll be an expensive bill with meh food. Service was disastorous. As soon as they put down a plate, someone comes by and asks to take it away. They filled our water so many times, I couldn’t get a word in edgewise without someone leaning in between me and my friend to put another drop of water in there. Some places, the service is MIA. Here, the service doesn’t give you a chance to eat, talk or think for that natter. Both are not ideal.
Service haphazard at best. Foi Gras app looked cool very dry. I asked that the Walleye served without broth, informed " we don't make substitutions"...stupid.
Dessert a trainwreck ( out of Sundae @ 7pm Friday) only 2 choices and they both were terrible.
Last chance...maybe should convert to art gallery and forget food.
Wonderful, interesting food combos. We loved it!
The West Loop is a tourist trap of over-concepted restaurants that fail to deliver on their promise. Not so Fullerton Market Kitchen which delivers substantial portions of refined standards.
The service was impeccable. The wines by the glass were reasonable and well-selected. I would recommend to anyone.
Thanks, Eric! We were happy to have you. Thanks so much for the kind words. Hope to see you back soon!
We drove up from Carmel, Indiana to Chicago for 3 birthdays. We first visited the Art Institute. We had called for reservations the week before to get dinner reservations for their first sitting so we could drive back to middle Indiana before it was too late. They were very accommodating. Fulton Market Kitchen was very cool and chic. The water was great and his table assistant was very attentive. The food was fabulous. The drink were wonderful also. The bartender even made a drink for me that was non-alcoholic. We ate the Sourdough Ciabatta , Crudites, and Brussels & Burrata for starters. The servings were not huge so that was perfect for us to try several things. For dinner we ate Pan Seared Walleye, Oven Roasted Chicken, Braised Short Ribs, and Crispy Red Potatoes. For dessert we had the S"mores. EVERYTHING was delicious and presented and plated so well. We will make sure to make reservations again when we are coming to Chicago. It was a wonderful evening.
You guys were great! Obviously welcome back any time. Look forward to seeing you again. Cheers!
Awful service, 30+ minutes between drink orders and serving, half the main course delivered without the sides, forcing some items to be cold when it came time to eat them. Been here 3 other times and this latest experience will keep me away for awhile. Very disappointed in what used to be a favorite! On top of that 20% tip was added to bill, we had staff remove as we didn’t think it was appropriate given the service we had. Expensive dinner for how bad the service really was, impacted the night!
It is expensive with small portions so you leave hungry but the atmosphere is really cool.
Great food and drinks with great service! Recommend liquid sunshine
Excellent pick, Tom! Hope to see you back again soon! Cheers!
Came in on a Tuesday and received much more than I expected. The crowd was good, the service was fast and friendly, the food was stellar, and the GM’s playlist was on point. I cannot recommendation the restaurant enough! Definite cool vibes and killer date spot. Order the foie.
Really sexy, artsy place. We had great service and drinks. Lots of beautiful people
Excellent dinner experience. Dined with a friend and shared several sized plates which offered excellent flavor and amazing presentation. Our server was knowledgable and friendly, recommending several dishes which complimented our different preferences.
Will definitely return!
Thanks, Mary! Can't wait to have you back! Cheers!
food was average given the other restaurants in this neighborhood
Great food, especially the S’mores desert!
Thanks! Hope to see you back again soon!
The food was very good, and the service was great. I went with my parents and my dad checked in on Facebook and we got a free dessert.
Hey, Catherine! You guys were great, and we were happy to comp a dessert for the free promo. Every bit counts. Thanks, and we hope to see you back soon!
Food is just ok, the descriptions are definitely better than the execution. Desserts were a big disappointment and I would recommend skipping altogether. Atmosphere and artwork are great but with so many better dining opportunities in Chicago, I don’t see going back.
Great space with lots of objects to look at and discuss during dinner. The food is very reasonably priced, so no need to splurge to have a good time and try something different.
It was great having you, Keteryna! Thanks so much for the review. We'd love to see back again soon! Cheers!
Absolutely delicious food, unique takes on classic dishes, excellent service.
Thanks for the kind words, Stephanie! We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Great Night out!
This is a beautiful place! Went here with my family for my birthday dinner and we loved the food, the ambience, and the service. Everyone was so nice. Thanks for a great experience.
You're welcome, JCA1! Thanks for spending your special occasion with us! Hope to see you again soon.
Loved the ambiance & our waitress was bomb. The food is more like small plates/tapas & was all so good. Maybe not the best before a night out though because we probably needed more food on our stomachs. The vibe was super artsy and even had an artist painting in the restaurant - SO COOL. Will definitely be back.
Thanks so much, Audrey! We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Great food, a tad noisy but the restaurant and decor make up for it. Don't go for a quiet evening, go for a great meal with friends. Fabulous street art on the walls, great menu. Make sure you order the Brussels Sprout appetizer!
Great suggestions, Lisa! We look forward to hosting you again soon. Cheers!
The food, the art, the neighborhood... all add up to make this our new FAVORITE restaurant in Chicago!
That's high praise, Kent! Thanks so much! We look forward to another visit from you soon! Cheers! -Stu GM, FMK
Being a showcase for artists, FMK had an incredibly eclectic vibe. We sat in the main room and I wish that I was facing into the middle so that I could take in the fantastic decor. It was a bit louder than I had expected because the main room doesn't have any forms of sound deadening/insulation. The food was great, I wish that I could have sampled a greater variety of items but my date played it safe. I'd certainly go back again.
Thanks for the review, Michael! Yeah, our menu is designed for our guests to try/share as many dishes as possible so you'll have to come back and give that a shot! Cheers, and we hope to see you again soon.
Food was pretentious but nothing special. The drinks were not extraordinary.
Delicious food and great atmosphere! We would definitely go back!
Thanks for the kind words, Jane! We enjoyed having you! Come back and see us again soon! Cheers, -Stu GM, FMK
Great food, great decor. However, kinda loud and hard to converse with your company. The seats were a bit uncomfortable too. The table was old and charming part of the decor, but it was uneven and I almost spilled my drink several times. All things considered, it was a great dining experience and I would go back again. Perhaps the management could hang some sound absorbing art on the wall ??
Amazing service, awesome setting with great artwork and an all around great time. I've been to FMK twice now and each experience has been amazing. The cocktails are imaginative and tasty and the changing food menu is delicious! Definitely a top 5 favorite Chicago restaurant for me... a must try for sure!
Good food. Service was okay.
While there are many great restaurants in this town, this is one of the coolest places in Chicago. Great ambience, service, mixologists, and always a fun sensory experience. The bar, music. the art, the vibe and of course the creative cuisine never seems to disappoint. Did valentine’s day there (2nd year in a row) and very happy with that decision. Highly recommend.
Thanks, Keith! We appreciate the kind words and your continued patronage. We just unveiled a new menu last week that you've got to get in and try. See you again soon! Cheers, -Stu GM, FMK
Great experience, very good food and excellent entertainment (Y’azz Jazz).
This was my first time at Fulton Market Kitchen - it was great. Funky art, a great little jazz trio playing, and excellent service and food. I look forward to going back again soon!
Wonderful experience for dinner. Started dinner with a first class Old Fashion.
We had two “veggie” appetizers. Highly recommend the Brussel sprouts and Faralle.
Salmon was done perfectly.
We had a group of 10 that turned into 12 and since it wasn't too busy they were able to accomodate and move us to a larger room which was very nice. Service was good, a couple mix ups here and there to be expected with a large group. We were there on the last day of restaurant week and everything was delicious. Drink prices were a little over the top even for a downtown spot. Will definitely go back and try the regular menu in a really cool, artwork filled, high ceiling, and classy industrial atmosphere.
Awesome birthday dinner.. Service was top notch!
Amazing atmosphere, beautiful interior and outstanding food.
We loved it! The staff provided great service. They were knowledgeable and very attentive. I never had to ask for anything. It's like they knew what I wanted before I did. The food was exceptional. The love and attention to detail really show through. So delicious and artfully plated. Our favorite part of the night was dessert. The poached pear was the MVP. Thank you. We hope to be back soon.
We hope you do too! Thanks so much for the kind words. Just to entice you a bit more, we've got a brand new menu that came out last week! Until next time... -Stu GM, FMK
