FMK's Bar Team, led by Beverage Director Liz Pearce, delivers one of the West Loop’s most innovative cocktail programs, executed with fresh ingredients and small batch spirits pulled from a carefully curated collection. Together they have developed an impressive spirit list that boasts over 650 bottles with a special focus on hand-selected barrels, limited allocations, and rare vintages.

This place is good for people who want to eat farm to table. The menu was very small when we went in January. I presume it would be a heartier menu in the summer time. We were looking forward to sharing the smorgasboard tray, which featured pickled seafood, but they didn't get their seafood delivery that day so we ordered a crudite platter. The humus was amazing but the selection of veggies was disappointing. And I don't think they need to leave the roots on the veggies to make the point that they are farm to table. It would have been nice to be able to just eat the veggies without having to remove the roots. The ambiance is fantastic, but it's almost like they were trying too hard to be local and organic.
The restaurant was absolutely freezing and half of the patrons had their winter jackets on. It’s been below average cold, but they could at least have room heaters. Service was also pretty bad, we had to ask for water and hunt down our server to order food. He also didn’t check in on us once our food was finally delivered, which was cold and made the flavors of the dishes hard to enjoy. The buratta salad was good, but it’s a cold dish. I couldn’t eat the beefcheck or squid ink dish after a few bites because it was cold and not flavorful. Overall bad experience with poor service and food. NOT worth it.
I enjoyed the vegetarian options immensely, but have to rate the restaurant lower because almost everything else on the menu was cruel (baby octopus, foi gras, cow throat, etc). For this reason, I won't be returning. It's too bad because the restaurant will lose a lot of the vegetarian or cruelty-free West Loop market.
The server was not helpful at all. She didn’t help make drink recommendations or answer any questions that we had about the food menu. Our first course came out in a timely manner but we waited over 30 mins for our second course to arrive. The manager did apologize about the delay but not until we had been waiting for 20 mins without anything to eat. They gave us a discount but at the end of the day we wouldn’t go back. The food was okay- nothing great. Minimal vegetarian options - their menu on open table is outdated.
I attended a friends dinner gathering on a Monday night. The decor is great and the ambience is fantastic. I really enjoyed the food, the burrata salad was amazing and the lamb shank was melting off the bone. My biggest complaint was that it took almost 2 hours to get our main course and with an 8pm reservation we only got to eat food at 10pm. With a restaurant being less than half full it should not take that long to serve its patrons.
Food is nothing special. the Scallops with Sweetbreads was tasty, but my venison entree was a very small portion (2 little nuggets of venison). We also tried grilled octopus which was overcooked with too much grill char flavor. IMO there are a lot of options in Chicago in this price range and Fulton Market Kitchen did nothing to distinguish itself.
Yet another great experience at FMK. Place is beautiful, drinks were great, food was delicious, and service was fantastic. One of us has a sever food allergy and the server and kitchen were very attentive to it. Look forward to returning to such a great restaurant.
Massive thank you to Lamar and chef for helping make my birthday even more special! The service was top notch and Lamar as much of a pro that he was, he was also fun and playful with our group. A perfect pairing for a special event. Chef came up with stellar dishes that were beautifully crafted, perfectly balanced between, intereting and pure delight as he fed us. Just go. Enjoy a cocktail at the bar, then ask chef to feed you... you will not be disappointed!!
All of my ratings would have been higher if the prices were not so outrageous. Service was good, wine selection also at the right level, and the ambiance was trendy. My biggest issue was the size of the dishes and the pricing. You have appetizers, then main dishes, fine. Why serve main dishes that are only meats? At $30+ you can add a carb and vegetable. Sides were an additional $10 each. Just make the mains 40$ + and call it a day!
Love everything about this place! It’s quite the experience! The excellent craft cocktails, the wine, the amazing cuisine, the staff. I could not fault one thing! Incredible! I love the different rooms, the decor, the art! We came here with out staff and out of town client and it was perfect! Will definitely be returning!

From the smiles that greet you, the mix-o-logist behind the bar who shared and delivered beverage suggestions, our server who described menu offerings and recommendations and the culinary team worthy of the FOOD CHANNEL. One word: WOW. Great value, Great fun and wonderful ambiance. Whether it's two at your table or a group...indeed: Applause Applause.
Great food and service was fantastic! I would not go to this place on a date unless you are not there for conversation. It can be a bit loud. You can ask to be seated in the back area away from the bar, but the music still carries. Your convo can be heard by the table next to you because you would have to speak louder.
What a great space. Fulton Market Kitchen doubles as a restaurant and rotating art gallery. Such beautiful decor from the quirky seating to incredible displays. Encountered the hostess, bartender, waitress, and server. Awesome service all-around, especially our server. She knew her around the menu without any trouble and it made all of our dishes well-worth the price because we knew what to expect. Once this area of West Loop is built-up, reservations won't be easy to come by.
We went for the first time for a friend's birthday. The entire experience was great. The staff were so friendly, especially Landon (host) and Ricky (bartender). The food was perfect. I'm vegetarian and it was nice to have lots of delicious meat-free options. We ended up chatting with one of the cooks outside after our meal and he was asking if we enjoyed everything and was really proud of the care and thoughtfulness they put into their food. He seemed legitimately happy to work there. I would definitely recommend this place.
The restaurant is physically beautiful. The art is tasetful and additive to a cool and hype ambiance. The positive experience stops there however. I attempted to order wine, with every bottle I requested being out of stock. After ordering three bottles, none of which were available, management came and guided me to a bottle in stock. When it arrived, the vintage was 2 years different than that on the menu. Having an updated wine list is restaurant management 101, there's no excuse for the experience I had. They comped the bottle, which I appreciated, but I would rather pay full price and revieve the bottle I want. The whole experience took so long that we only ordered off of the small plate menu. We order Brussels sprouts, carrots and cavatelle. Something in one of the dishes was not fresh. Both my dinner companion and myself experienced abdominal distress after dinner. This place desperately needs a strong dose of professional management and quality control. I how they do it, the concept is appealing.
Excellent decor and ambiance - everyone commented on how much they liked the interior of the restaurant. All food (and recommendations from the server) was fantastic. Loved the burrata salad, broccoli, walleye, and roasted chicken. Our server was so friendly - didn't check in too often but gave great descriptions of the food, provided solid recommendations, and was overall great. Food came out relatively slowly (we were prepared for this based on yelp reviews) so I wouldn't go if we were in any sort of hurry, but it's a perfect place otherwise.
Prices were high and despite being only 1 of 2 parties in the restaurant, we waited over an hour for our food. When it came, however, the food was quite tasty. The experience was completed by an artist, actively painting throughout dinner (fumes and all), rather unsettling pictures of clowns. Needless to say, I will not be returning, nor will anyone in my party
