Fuego at The Clarendon
Live music nightly. Sit back, have a cocktail, enjoy the live music and, of course, the food!!
Great food and drinks. Very loud (could use some sound dampening inside), but very energetic vibe.
The restaurant is very nice, we go about two times a month. I have never been there when a transient isn’t prowling the parking lot. We have also witnessed a domestic violence where the police needed called. The food is excellent and the wait staff is very nice. We have never had a bad meal which keeps drawing us back. Just be aware of your surroundings when entering the building and when going back to your car.
Food was very fresh and tasted amazing. Really enjoyed our lunch here.
What can I say, Fuego Bistro did it again! The food and service was excellent. I really enjoyed the live music.
This was our first visit to Fuego since they moved late last year. What a fabulous experience! They were busy and could seat a lot more people at this new location. The food was great as always, we really enjoyed ourselves!! Thank you
Food was wonderful. Our server was a bit overwhelmed as the restaurant was very full. They got a couple orders wrong (eg salsa on the side) and one order was made as a to go for a spouse at home, and they instead brought it out plated with the rest of the meals. They were apologetic, and fixed both, though the to go was brought out immediately, so sat in a bag for the rest of our meal, not as fresh as we were hoping. Noise inside was quite loud, and we later moved outside to listen to the band (Henry James) which was wonderful, and we had drinks out there. Lovely experience overall. Will be back.
My husband and I went to Fuego Bistro to celebrate our birthdays! Had a very tasty appetizer and entree that the chef made vegan for my husband and I. They didn't have a vegan desert but the server brought us out a dish of candied walnuts to satisfy our sweet tooth.
We've loved Fuego since there were multiple locations. The cornbread is to die for. So are the green beans. And the mashed potatoes. And the pernil. And the Fuego Pasta. And the tacos. And..... you get the picture. There is a reason customers AND staff are loyal.
Fuego at The Clarendon is always a safe bet for great Mexican!
This is a great place. The food is always excellent and it was very quick to come out. The 2 complaints I would have: the lounge/bar area smelled like cigarettes very badly. I wouldn’t think smoking was allowed inside and had to walk through this area to get to the bathroom. The bathroom setup was different but could deal with that. The problem was that my friend and I were trying to leave the bathroom when someone who was clearly high on an unsure substance prevented us from doing so. He finally did let up and we were able to leave the bathroom but we spent much more time in there than we wanted to and didn’t appreciate being approached by this person.
We live in the neighborhood and were glad to see another established restaurant brand move into the prior Gallo Blanco site. Good food; great service; awful noise level. The food and service (plus reasonable pricing) might take us back. The noise level/music volume might keep us away.
Loved it! Woman with red hair was so sweet and very helpful.
The food at Fuego at the Clarendon was good and the portions are very large. My husband and I could have easily split an entree. We were a little disappointed since this is the same owner as Fuego Bistro which closed. Fuego Bistro had a much nicer outdoor seating area and more choices on their menu. I was sad that the only way they were able to cook the Mahi Mahi was blackened which I don’t really care for. We went for restaurant week and the value was good.
The music was nice and not too loud. Our server was a bit soft spoken but always checked in on us timely.
Awesome restaurant week Menu! Delicious food, great live music, great deal with or without the restaurant week specials.
Music was fantastic!
This was super nice. Loved the live music and the ambiance was nice. We just didn't get our drinks until we had started eating and our sides were all whack. But it was still a very enjoyable time.
It was our first time to the new location and we loved it. The patio was shaded with misters so we were very comfortable on a 97 degree afternoon. The happy hour drinks and food were delicious and the servers were friendly and efficient.
Horrible experience for Mother’s Day not worth $115 we paid
We were able to enjoy their new location. New location but same awesome food and service.
Very good food and great service!
Superior food and service was excellent, cocktails were great and presentation awesome !
Great happy hour ! Great plant based options!!
I went to the origional Fuego on seventh Street for years, first time in the Clarendon. Even a few more notches up !!
The kool vibe music inside and out felt like NOLA or Chicago... not Phoenix.
I’m a foodie and a restaurant cook myself all I could think it was going back since I left that’s a pretty damn good thing. It doesn’t mean that they can be 100% all the time but it was a great experience!
We had a great time here - we ordered a bunch of dishes to share, the nachos with pork, the green beans and micheladas ans margaritas were outstanding! the drinks were so cute and theyre dog friendly which we appreciate.
Had an amazing time! The food was excellent, the live music was great, and the service was attentive. I would highly recommend!
The live music was way too loud making it difficult to carry on a conversation. Service was slow and some of the food was mediocre. Our guests ate very little of their meal. This experience was definitely subpar to previous ones there.
Loved the ambiance and guitar player. Great experience! Highly recommend!
My wife and I went on Sunday; fantastic food; live music was great.
Nickolas was an excellent waiter. He described how many of the dishes were prepared including the ingredient's used. Nickolas was very attentive and friendly. He is an
asset to your restaurant.
The signing on the patio and live jazz band was really odd. It did not match the ambience and really made the place awkward and not very enjoyable. Our server was rarely seen unfortunately and we had to sit and wait each time there was a drink or food order. We also waited so long for the check that my guest left and I waited 15 more minutes for the check to come back.
Food was just not great. Looked better than it tasted. Fish overcooked. Carrots were inedible.
I have been waiting to review this place! Absolutely fantastic! The food was a major experience! I was full for 2 days! The seafood empanada was to die for and the star of the show is the signature green Chile cornbread (its actually a side dish). The cornbread was outstanding! I could have had JUST that and be super happy! Also took a couple of bites of the Peasant Paella and the
Fish portions were much smaller than usual.
Asked for dressing on side but didn't accompany salad; had to ask for it.
Asked for extra dressing a few min later and they brought out the wrong dressing!
Overall good, just not as good as typically is.
We were taken to our requested booth right away despite being 15 minutes early. There was a trio of jazz musicians playing. They were fabulous. The menu was extensive including several appetizers, salads. Sandwiches and entrees. We had the fuego appetizer plate which included two empanadas, a salmon croquette, a Cuban slider, and some veggies. Delicious! We split an entree— the roast pulled pork. It was very tender and fabulously delicious. We will definitely be back!
We have gotten the same waiter both times we have gone and he is always almost non existent. Need some customer service training, ruins the whole experience.
We love Jeff and all the staff so we’ve followed them to their new location. They never disappoint, food is always amazing and the new setting is very cool with more entertainment options along with an uptown hotel. We will continue to be their regulars!
The food was decent and the kitchen was quick, unlike the bar which took 45 minutes for our cocktail we ordered when we sat down. In fact, we got our apps and entrees before our drinks.
Our server was very nice however, he had lots of tables assigned to him all over the restaurant which I think added to the slower service. Food was ok.. great corn bread.
The food was outstanding. The service was excellent. The live music was exceptional. A wonderful dining experience.
Terrific food and atmosphere. The patio is large and lovely, and there was live music. And did I mention the delicious food?!
