Fuego at The Clarendon
Live music nightly. Sit back, have a cocktail, enjoy the live music and, of course, the food!!
We went for restaurant week. I'm a pescatarian and one of the dishes I wanted was out at 7pm. They didn't have a lot of great options that didn't include meat. I'd say the service was good but nothing over the top. I understand it gets a bit crazy during these special event times but they should plan accordingly. I don't know if I would go back or not.
Great service and delicious food , the music was perfect for the occasion
As always food was fabulous. Remains one of our favorite restaurants in Phoenix. Great patio!
We went to Fuego on a Saturday, during restaurant week. That may be why my review is average. We were not half way done with our appetizer, when the entree was brought to our table. Once finished with our entree, it took a very long time for our dessert to come. We had to ask for refills on water. Food was good, and hot. Not sure we will return.
Very cool vibrant atmosphere paired with great food and service. Will definitely go again.
Food was excellent. Server was helpful and pleasant. We arrived early at 5:30 and as the evening continued, we could not enjoy a conversation because it was so loud. The service was too fast, as if they were rushing us out. They cleared dishes as we were eating and one course was on top of the other. We will return but probably for a mid-week lunch or when weather allows us to sit outside.
Wow! I knew this place had a good reputation, but we chose it for a special birthday celebration, and we were just blown away. The service was lovely, friendly and knowledgeable. Morgan took care of us, and she couldn't have been more helpful. And oh my, the food. It was restaurant week, so we took advantage of one of the pre fixe menus celebrating the occasion. Each part of the meal, from the appetizer, to the main course, to the dessert, to the sangria (included in the offering) was exceptional. The only complaint was that we should have taken some of it home (but, we were from out of town and staying at a hotel). The portions were generous and we ate very bit of them. We will certainly plan to visit Fuego on our next trip to Phoenix and will recommend it to all of our friends.
The staff was very kind and attentive. Food was delicious. Went for restaurant week. Outside seating with misters in the evening, and great food was so worth it.
Empanadas were amazing! We tried this restaurant because it was on the Arizona restaurant list. We were not disappointed!
I'm a big fan of live music, however the jazz band was so loud we couldn't even have a conversation...too loud for dining It wasn't a concert after all
Went for the first time for restaurant week, the portions, flavors and drinks too were great! We will be back!
The menu has so many amazing options from food you drinks! Staff was very very nice! Most of all it was affordable!!
We were immediately seated but it took awhile to get our drink order & food order in but they all came quickly. Couple of groups of 8 seated behind us that were very loud making it difficult to talk. Really enjoyed the restaurant week menu the salmon croquettes, & empanadas appetizers were very good. The seafood chili rellano was pretty good but the jalapeño cornbread was the best! Hope to go back & dine on the patio.
the food is outstanding, every dish we had was great. ambience outside was delightful, service excellent!
The food is very good here. We were there for Restaurant Week and one of us chose from the $33 menu and the other from the $44 menu. Both were very good. The sangrias were excellent.
I was here for restaurant week so I imagine the normal everyday menu must be better? But can't say for sure. I enjoy food and enjoy most places that I go to. This is the only restaurant that I ever was at that not all but multiple things turned my stomach. I started with a salmon croquette that was fishy tasting (meh). Then my main course mahi mahi. The fish was good but was covered in something that I couldn't identify that turned my stomach...on top of that was salsa that was good but I tried to scrape off whatever that stuff was on the fish but couldn't get it off. I think they also didn't make the creamed jalapeno corn right. It was terribly sickening sweet. Then my complimentary red sangria was made with wine that tasted old and spoiled. That also turned my stomach. I never felt so queasy at a restaurant before from the taste of the food. I have to say the desserts were good. The margaritas seemed good and my husband said the cubano was very good. He had a surf and turf. He said it was strange and hard to eat a steak that was placed in a plain bowl of pasta. They cleared my plate with most of the food left behind and didn't say anything.
I love this place. Can’t speak high enough about them. Amazing food and great people. What more could you want?
Great Service, ambiance, and food. We’ll be back
During nights of live music it will get pretty loud so be prepared. It's sightly dark but enough light to read the menu. Drinks come over pouring so keep your feet under the table unless you want wet toes when your drinks come. The food portion is HUGE. Customer service is great but the floor manager rudely bumped and squeezed in between my server and I instead of walking around. Also with RSVP over a week in advance seating location was absolutely horrible. Bathroom is separate but the sink area is co-ed. I will say price is a bit too high for overall.
Great experience for restaurant week. My only issue was that they didn’t unfortunately honor our reservation on open table
We dined at Fuego on a Friday night during restaurant week. There was a live band that added to the atmosphere but was not overwhelming for conversation. I started with the salmon croquette, followed by the Seafood Chile Relleno with jalapeño cream corn and chipotle cheddar mashed potatoes, and finished with the Horchata Bread Pudding. Each item was very good and the amount of food was generous.
The food was excellent!
We went on a Thursday night so the restaurant was not super busy. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. We got our food and drinks in good time. Would highly recommend the blood orange margarita and the paella. I had the paella as my entree and it was a huge portion and delicious.
We have been loyal customers at Fuego for many years. This was our first visit to the new location, and one of our rare dinners out since Covid shut everything down. We went with some close friends who are also Fuego aficionados, and looked forward to catching up with them.
The music in the patio area was very enjoyable in itself, but it was too loud for conversations to be carried on comfortably. We didn't linger over dinner, just got boxes for leftovers and went to our home where we could talk without shouting.
Still -- the food was worth it.
Seafood Relleno's, Empanada's and Spicy Veggie Tostadas were great. The signature green chili cornbread was unlike any I have ever eaten... Fabulous.
As usual, good service and great food. The lunch menu was more limited than it was before COVID, but that seems to be true of many places. An excellent place for lunch or even better, dinner!
The food and service here are always impeccable. Live music adds to the warm, friendly environment. Always a great idea when wanting to share a wonderful meal with friends.
Food was amazing, service was slow.
I frequented the old location since it opened. This was my first visit since the moved. While I preferred their original spot, this one was fine. It's much larger inside and they had a jazz trio in the lounge and an r&b group outside, both of which I enjoyed. The food was delicious, as always, and I saw some of the same familiar staff- shout out to Chewy! I highly recommend Fuego, it remains one of my favorites in town.
Great food and a great patio, if/when you can eat outside.
Amazing food! Will 100%b be back for Brunch!
Great portion size and great energy!
Great food and drinks. Very loud (could use some sound dampening inside), but very energetic vibe.
The restaurant is very nice, we go about two times a month. I have never been there when a transient isn’t prowling the parking lot. We have also witnessed a domestic violence where the police needed called. The food is excellent and the wait staff is very nice. We have never had a bad meal which keeps drawing us back. Just be aware of your surroundings when entering the building and when going back to your car.
Food was very fresh and tasted amazing. Really enjoyed our lunch here.
What can I say, Fuego Bistro did it again! The food and service was excellent. I really enjoyed the live music.
This was our first visit to Fuego since they moved late last year. What a fabulous experience! They were busy and could seat a lot more people at this new location. The food was great as always, we really enjoyed ourselves!! Thank you
Food was wonderful. Our server was a bit overwhelmed as the restaurant was very full. They got a couple orders wrong (eg salsa on the side) and one order was made as a to go for a spouse at home, and they instead brought it out plated with the rest of the meals. They were apologetic, and fixed both, though the to go was brought out immediately, so sat in a bag for the rest of our meal, not as fresh as we were hoping. Noise inside was quite loud, and we later moved outside to listen to the band (Henry James) which was wonderful, and we had drinks out there. Lovely experience overall. Will be back.
My husband and I went to Fuego Bistro to celebrate our birthdays! Had a very tasty appetizer and entree that the chef made vegan for my husband and I. They didn't have a vegan desert but the server brought us out a dish of candied walnuts to satisfy our sweet tooth.
We've loved Fuego since there were multiple locations. The cornbread is to die for. So are the green beans. And the mashed potatoes. And the pernil. And the Fuego Pasta. And the tacos. And..... you get the picture. There is a reason customers AND staff are loyal.
