It was very enjoyable. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We went for Restaurant Week. I started with the salmon croquette and my wife had the coconut shrimp. The croquettes were good but the coconut shrimp was fantastic! We both had the short rib enchiladas which were really good but were served with a mole sauce, not our favorite. Can't knock Fuego for that though, it was still very favorable. I had cheesy mashed potatoes that could've had a bit more spice and she had the cheesy corn that was great. We both had the jalapeno corn bread, it was fantastic! Dessert of horchata bread pudding and ancho chile torte was also very good and topped off with sangria. Overall the food was good, just a personal taste that I like more complexity with the spices. Loved the vibe, it was surprisingly slow when we where there on a Saturday night. Maybe we just missed the crowds. Live music is always a bonus. Given the menu prices not sure it would be a regular go to without a special but didn't have any complaints either. Give it a shot!

We came for restaurant week and did enjoy the food and the service. Our reservation was at 6pm which was perfect for us. As we neared the end of our time at the restaurant, there was a band playing out on the porch AND a music group playing at the front of the restaurant. Just too much noise for us and it did not enhance the experience at all.

We went during restaurant week, so keep that in mind for the review. The restaurant is inside the Clarendon hotel. It was very busy and very noisy. We had to shout to hear each other talk. The food was very good, but the service was very slow.

Amazing selections during restaurant week! The beans, the empanadas, the seafood chile relleno and the key lime pie were all fantastic. Server was attentive, ambiance was great. Semi noisy due to the space but live music in the lounge and on the misted patio. Restroom was a little weird otherwise a wonderful date night with my wife. We will surely come back again!

Yum, Yum Yum.. greatest service and delicious food. Chili Thai Shrimp was very flavorful appetizer. I had the Mahi Mahi with mango salsa, delicious with Chili Corn Bread & Green Beans. The rest of the party had the Surf & Turf Pasta which everyone enjoyed plus took home the extra! White Sangria was a great drink along with the Key Lime dessert & w olives there Torte! Can’t wait to return!

Found this amazing place tucked inside The Clarendon hotel for restaurant week, fall 2023. The atmosphere is cozy with retro decor. There is a main dining area and a piano lounge/bar. Staff is amazing and very attentive. The Latin fare is fantastic. Definitely worth repeat visits!

The menu was confused. The food was really bad. The salmon croquet was soggy, the sauce on top was broken and the salmon was not fresh. Gross. Don't even try the deserts, they yave no sweetness to them and they all have the ugly funk of corn flower. This menu is so confused as to be hilarious. Bar is great, live music was on point, service was ok, hotel is good. When you stay, just go somewhere else to eat.

We returned after about 6 months ago for Cuban cuisine. I am somewhat challenged with the menu choices as I don't eat pork, but usually I find a fish or seafood selection. The blackened mahi mahi tasted very good but was slightly overdone (dry) and a smaller portion than I expected. My dining companion had the special short ribs and claimed that it was very good and was an ample portion. The dessert (key lime pie) was a small slice and very pricey. We have enjoyed Jeff's culinary presentations for well over 20 years and look forward to returning again.

Quirky, eclectic vibe and customers. Hotel restaurant in the lobby. Parking right outside on the street and an adjacent lot. Live jazz the night we went. Ate in the lounge and the bartender was our server. She made excellent drinks and was timely and friendly. Food was great.

Service and food was excellent again. I was early waiting for my dinner date, and although i was waiting before I ordered a drink or anything, the manager did notice and came to check on me which was great. Empanadas came out perfect as usual, drinks were great, and the short rib (special) and seafood chile relleno both delicious. We had a great evening. The acoustic guitar player was a good touch to the evening.

Very good food. Service is good and friendly. Restaurant itself is outdated and is inside an old hotel in a so-so area. Music was loud (Live performer, though good vocals, it was unnecessarily too loud due to likely mic/amp). Portions are adequate and fairly priced. Overall experience was good, but I would not necessarily put it on a frequent visit schedule. The best part was the delicious food, which could be a reason to return. Thank you.

This place is so cute! The food was great! We had shrimp tacos, chips & salsa, maple carrots & empanadas. I had a watermelon margarita which was too sweet but still good and my friend had a Paloma which she said was ok. The real star was Jesus. He was our server and he was the best! He was funny, nice and basically knew everything we wanted before we asked. I cant wait to go back.

The food at Fuego was very good and delicious. The portions for what you paid for are good and the price for the food it is not too bad it is not overly expensive. The menu is a mixed of flavors from Cuba, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. I gave it a lower score in the ambience and that was because for some reason there is something in the air in the hotel that gave me some allergy (not the food). Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant. You won't be disappointed and it is definitely something different from the usual food that people would considered of the Spanish cultures.

First time trying this place out, and good was delicious! I love the menu options and the style of food they offered. I was nervous about the arroz con gondules because I grew up eating that and it's not easy to make. I must say I'm glad I got it as a side dish because it brought me back childhood memories!! I will order it again! The Fuego pasta was so different and so amazing! Having a live band there was great too. Service and people there were very nice and friendly.

The food was really good however theistic was SOOO LOUD it felt like I was at a night club. We brought guests from out of town and we were embarrassed we weren’t able to even talk. I would not go back there. I couldn’t sit outside because of the heat. Terrible ambiance! The hotel must be super cheap because the crowd was sketchy at best. There were women wearing bathing suits in the restaurant.

All of the dishes we had were tasty, the waitress was friendly and attentive, the service was quick and efficient, and the outdoor seating was nice with someone playing music on his guitar in the background. My family and I enjoyed our experience here and definitely recommend to others to eat here.
