Fry's Spring Station
We went to Fry’s before the game and even with large crowd our service and food was excellent
Great! Noisy in there but festive and fun. Service was really great.
Brunch was great. The portions were large, service was excellent, and we were able to get a table for 8 on Mother's Day thanks to OpenTable.
Easter brunch was delicious but slow to arrive. But we understand, it was a busy morning.
The food was good but the service was unbelievably slow. While I had a bigger group (6), taking an hour+ to make some pizza and a salad seemed excessive.
We arrived at Fry's Spring Station only to find there was no parking available at the restaurant. We had made a reservation, but apparently the restaurant never got this reservation. They had a staff meeting which took up all the parking spaces. There were limited spaces elsewhere and it was pouring the rain. They were clearly not prepared for our arrival. We had time constraints expressed up front. We were told they probably could not make those, but we were flexible. Most of the pizzas were over baked, leaving a black crust. The food was tasty but could have been prepared better. Staff was nice. Note to other patrons, do not park across the street. Cars will be towed.
Nice spot for brunch. Food was good.
We had reservations for 6 people at 3:45 last Saturday OCTOBER 27. Wewere seated within one minute. Even with the busy time after the UVA football game day, we noticed right away how attentive our server was. She asked if we needed a minute to look over the menu and we said yes. She did give us a few minutes and came right over! She helped with vegetarian options for my daughter. He attention to us was superb. Atmosphere was fun and food was amazing. We have already highly recommended friends to your restaurant. Very grateful for a special time for UVA Family weekend.
Great service even though it was busy. Food was excellent.
Loved the setting and atmosphere. Based on the menu really thought the food was going to be great. It was really just okay. Didn’t have the flavor I expected.
The service was excellent. The avocado toast with tomato jam was one of the best breakfast dishes I’ve ever eaten. Can’t wait to bring friends to try it. Awesome! 5 Stars
Second time here and both times I have thoroughly enjoyed my meal.
Amazing Mac and Cheese. Nice assortment of nonalcoholic drinks. Good at Italian and southern comfort food. Gave us happy anniversary drinks 😀
Mother's Day brunch
This was a very nice , local type restaurant for meeting friends. Lindsay took great care of our party of four. She was very knowledgeable of all the menu items and wine list. It is a great meeting place for friends. They have a nice seating area both covered and with umbrellas if you wish to dine outside. A very friendly neighborhood type restaurant.
Overall just Meh. Went for Sunday brunch. Waitstaff very nice, helpful and attentive. The food was hit or miss though. The fried oysters were perfect- light crispy crust and hot and juicy inside. The homemade doughnuts were crispy sweet delicious bites. But...we shared the bacon, egg, and cheese pizza. The dough was perfectly done, but the eggs were runny. I love a good runny yolk, but not runny whites. It was a hot mess. Another person had the shrimp and grits. Good sauce but pretty rich. My son loved the chicken and waffles. It's a cool vibe on a nice day. Wish the food quality was more consistent. Might try once more for lunch but skipping brunch.
Had friends visiting from out of town and needed to grab a quick bite with them and their kids early AND on Easter before they headed out of town--thank you Fry's Springs for having early brunch on a holiday. It was great and you really made our Easter brunch special!
The food at Frye's Springs is delicious. We had the fried oysters, cheese curds and burrata platter and it was all delicious. Dinner was pizza and salads. The big garage doors were wide open and brought the beautiful weather inside. A pleasant evening!
My son and I were in town for a tour of UVA. We found this place using OpenTable and are so glad we did! Away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, unique setting, delicious pasta, outdoor seating all combined to make the perfect meal! Special thanks to Skip for great service and Tyler for talking with us about C-vile. Hope to return!
Fantastic little restaurant with an open air atmosphere. Great food and outdoor seating.
Went there with friends and kids and everyone had a great time.
Cool place, good food and a nice gas station turned restaurant. Service was very friendly but a little slow ordering, refilling and clearing. Walk if you can as parking is a challenge.
Loved the Made to Order Mozzarella could have eaten two. The meatballs are great for sharing, so yummy. Our group had two pizzas and I ordered the Papperradelli with butternut squash and pine nuts it was delicious. I would definitely order again
Fun atmosphere and great food!
Love this place! The pizza is amazingly delicious! And when it's beautiful out, they open the fire-station doors and let the fresh air in. Or you can sit outside. So delightful.
The food was good and at a reasonable price. The waiter was a bit questionable.
We visited on Valentines Day. Service was attentive and we were impressed with the food. It tends toward creative Italian and we really enjoyed everything. The squash soup was delicious, my husband's pepperoni pizza was some of the best we've had in Charlottesville. My salad was excellent. We will definitely be visiting again.
Food was great no complaints at all. Definitely would eat here again however service at the bar was lacking. I counted 8 people working plus the bartender but he was the only one paying any attention to the bar area. They need a backup person at the bar to provide better service.
Enjoyed that we were able to make reservations and were seated right away. Our server was very knowledgeable on menu and even knowledgeable about UVA majors! She made our visit very enjoyable! Would highly recommend and since there were 6 of us- we tried different food items and all were fantastic! A hidden gem near UVA grounds!!!!!
Great food and service! When for restaurant week and everyone in our party enjoyed their meals. It was packed and a little loud... tables felt a little too close together-- hard to squeeze through with all of the people. We will definitely be back!
It took 20 minutes for someone to take our drink order, and that was after we asked for someone to wait on us. No apologies. Food mediocre. Have been one other time and was better. Disappointed and won't go again.
Food was great, portions were huge! Service was friendly. A great night!
Delicious food and generous portions! A real favorite!
Great appetizers, and Caesar salads. Delicious wings! Loved the pizza!
This used to be one of my favorite locations: good pizza, and pasta. They changed menus , and the place is no longer that great. Side salads are $9 and if you want some salmon on it it's another $5. There are better pizzas for a lot less and more pizza. Same for the pastas: very limited- 4 items.
Sad to see it go off of my list.
We had a large party and the staff was great. Helped us get a table as quick as possible, we were early for our reservation, and waitress was excellent. Great food and service. We will be back.
Cute restaurant. Fun to sit outside.
The service was great! Everyone from the host to the servers was very attentive. The food was a pleasure. The fried oysters were delicious and plentiful. The manciatta was fantastic, with grilled shrimp. It was big enough for 2 meals! The wait staff was delightful and so genuine.
It was our first time dining and all of our food was really good. Wait staff very attentive.
Simply excellent. True Italian selections and extremely fresh.
Lively Atmosphere in a Casual, Fun Setting. Good pizzas and Caesar salad. Full bar.
