Fruition Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
I did not like our table in the galley where it was very tight and constant staff walking back and forth. I couldn't put my feet on the floor because the metal table legs were right where my feet were. I didn't like that the cheapest bottle of Pinot Noir was 68 dollars. I made reservations 6 weeks in advance and drove 2 hours to eat there. I wish I had a table in the main dining room. The table for four in the back was empty when we got there and they sat what looked like a walk in of 3 people there and the four of us sat in cramped quarters in the galley.
Another great meal at Fruition. The service was spot on, and every dish was delicious. All 4 appetizers were greatly enjoyed. We highly recommend the pasta carbonara, the crudo, the octopus, and the oysters Rockefeller. The scallops entree was good, and the lamb lion entree was even more delicious. Dessert did not disappoint either with the lemon meringue and the carmelized Palisade peach panda cotta being especially memorable. Service is attentive without hovering. We really love Fruition!
They were running behind and we had to wait about twenty minutes past our reservation time, but they accommodated us with drinks outside while we waited.
Had I known the food would be so tremendous I probably could have waited an hour and been fine.
It was quite literally the best meal I've ever eaten--and I've been to Frasca
I read multiple positive reviews of this restaurant online and thought that it would be a good last night choice before departing from Denver airport. While this restaurant is acceptable, I felt that the quality of the food was just average. My wife's duck was passable, not exceptional, and my plate was the scallops of which I have had much better. The seating we had was cramped, not quaint, and the plates and bowls were too large for the table space. They do have a knowledgeable and friendly wait staff and a good selection of wines and beer. I am accustomed to a much more flavorful and refined cuisine from a restaurant rated 4.7 on Open Table.
Another great experience at Fruition. Jen has been a terrific addition to the front of house and makes every visit even more special.
The octopus appetizer that my husband had was incredible! ( as was my oyster rockefeller appetizer)
My steak entrée was perfect, one of the best steaks I have ever had. My husband's lamb entrée was top notch as well.
The stuffed cherry amuse bouche and starter glass of wine were great touches as well.
Martini's were also perfect.
What else can I say, this place is perfection...
The food was meticulously prepared. The recipes were hit or miss, though. The oysters Rockefeller were to die for. The duck surprisingly was lacking in flavor (not the accoutrements but the duck itself}. The cod was very good with a crispy outside that was a perfect contrast to the soft fish inside. The service was very professional; the environment understated and classy.
We have dined at Fruition a half a dozen times or more over the past three years and have gave it a five star rating a couple of years ago. This time I found the food quality has declined a bit. The octopus was still stiff and chewy. Too much lettuce with the scallops. The lamb was a bit overdone. The duck was, and always has been, terrific. For summer dining, we found the food heavy for a restaurant that focuses on seasonal menus. Although the food was good, it failed to meet our expectations based on previous dining with this restaurant. Ambiance still pleasant and service is still very good. Never felt rushed. We think Fruition may need to "re-up" their game to compete with the best of Denver dining.
We had the best of experiences, all the way around. The energy in Fruition is warm and inviting yet intimate. Just the place to go with someone you want to relax, enjoy and talk with. The personalized menu heading really surprised and delighted us. The food was interesting and unusual but not to the point of confusing complexity. Just right for us in every way.
outstanding food. remarkable provision of local, chef/owner sourced ingredients. I had never heard of chestnut mushrooms and the chefs were in the mountains foraging them that morning. they were mixed in the first vegetarian course and with pistachio 'cream' sauce that was out of this world. Literally the best sheep milk feta that I have ever had = from the chef's own creamery. A soft, creamy texture that with long sheep milk finish on palate and not too salty. It was absolutely memorable. This chef is dishing some fantastic, ambitious food. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the second vegetarian course where the chef-trainees mixed a sweet zucchini bread as the foundation of a savory dish that did not work. but overall remarkable meal, wouldn't hesitate to go back except I live across the country, and could not recommend more highly.
Was told over the phone that they could accommodate our food allergies but when we sat down and informed the server about the gluten and dairy allergy we found a much different answer. After he sighed dramatically he informed us that we could have one appetizer stripped down and then the steak without the sides. Really disappointed since we had made the reservation weeks in advance. Walked down to Table 6 and had a great experience that turned our night around. Thanks Table 6!
Best restaurant meal we have had in a long time. The pork chop was really flavorful as was the lamb loin. The chilled melon soup was awesome, and the desserts were terrific. We were kept waiting 2o minutes beyond our reservation time, although the waiter made up for that with a complementary glass of wine. Altogether a great dining experience.
While the service and the taste of the food served were excellent, the entree portions are very small; however, with an appetizer and the cheese plate for desert the total dining experience ,was quite satisfying.
Also, the seating was too close in my opinion, because having other tables' conversations that close was similar to having someone nearby talking on his/her cell phone during my time there.
My son and daughter-in-law just moved to Denver and I was able to get an 8:15 reservation on a Sunday night. We ordered three appetizers and three entrees which were were all excellent with great presentations. I am from the East Coast and was hesitant to order seafood in Denver but the descriptions on the menu were too enticing so I had the oyster appetizer and a cod entree, both of which were perfect. We arrived pretty much right on time and had to wait five minutes or so to get seated, which was no problem but the hostess brought us each a complimentary glass of wine while we waited. Also, great ambiance with very good acoustics, no problem hearing conversations during dinner. This will be my go to place on return trips to Denver.
We've been to Fruition twice before and each time we enjoyed ourselves, so when we made plans to have dinner with some old friends, Fruition came to mind. Once again, from the moment we entered the restaurant, we felt like family. The food is seasonal and often times local. But the taste and presentation keep us coming back. Yes, Fruition is a bit pricey, but the food and experience make it worth every penny! Thanks Fruition for yet another memorable night!
We have always enjoyed Fruition in the past and returned each year for a particular special occasion. But something has changed. This year we found the affect to be cold and pretentious, the food to be uninspiring, and the service to be poor. At $100 a person for an appetizer and main course (+ wine), we expected the special kind of experience we're used to there. Despite the fact that we have always looked forward to returning to Fruition, our recent visit will likely be our last. Denver has plenty of excellent alternatives.
Wonderful experience! The service was excellent from the moment we walked in ; very receptive, friendly and knowledgeable. Everything was perfectly timed making for a relaxed dining experience that never felt rushed. The food was fantastic--beautiful as well as delicious. The grazing vegetarian dishes were fantastic and a nice complement to the seafood dishes we ordered. The scallops were absolutely perfect. Portion sizes were just right and left us just enough room for a shared chocolate cremeaux. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will be back!
