Food quality is going down. Cold potatoes and raw chicken. Hair in kids chicken fingers. Only good part is the dessert.

I had a wonderful time. My waiter could have been better. The carpets need a good cleaning I just happened to notice. Front desk check in was awesome food was a little pricey but good. The banana split dessert for 2 was awful. I didnt send back but I should have it was nasty. Overall I had a good experience and would do it again.

We love the track and the frontrunner. Our waiter was spaced out. Something was up with him for sure. This made our experience a little awkward. The bussers were great. Food is good as always, but highly priced. $26 for a chicken ceaser salad is steep. Beer was flat and they pushed back on exchanging one for us. I think its a great spot if you have a few bucks in your pocket and you draw a good waiter. We’ll be back soon to root on the ponies!

Peppered Prime Rib was wonderful, and the deviled eggs were unexpected unusual and delicious. The elevated trackside view might be the best view there. I would recommend FrontRunner to anyone.

All three of us had the pizza Bianca and it was just bland, smelled funny, and dry. The frontrunner had better food awhile back, but not anymore

Good view of the entire racetrack. Staff was friendly and provided good service. Nice variety of food to select from on the menu. Fair prices and an ample amount of food per serving. Food was delicious. Enjoyed the experience. Will do it again.

Service was less than adequate. Not enough attention paid to the table and we found ourselves getting our own bar service throughout the day. Late also trying to get and pay for the bill in a reasonable amount of time.

Also, ordering a bread basket was not the same considering you get less per basket than previous visits but the charge for the basket is the same. Bread is cheap and should not be short changed in a serving to a table of 4 people.

Not Front Runner's best effort.

Best view in town. Horse racing is the United States last classy sport. Amazing athletes on display with no attitude, agenda or flag kneeling. Best entertainment around much cheaper than tickets to the dodgers or rams. Plus I left with $220 dollars more than I came with after hitting a few bets. Try doing that at any other sporting event.

The day we chose to attend the races was not a particularly busy one, which is exactly what we wanted. Our table was great, with a perfect view of the finish line. The service was excellent; all of the wait staff was professional, friendly, and attentive. The six of us could not have had a better time. The food was good, served promptly. We were pleasantly surprised that one of the park trumpeters came to our table, knew it was our adult daughter's birthday and paid her a special tribute. A perfect day at the races!

My wife & I spent the first day of our 40th anniversary there. The special Friday was the best along w the clam chowder. We arrived early just getting off the plane, and were hungry , we weren’t disappointed at all. From the parking attend to the receptionist & the waiters it made for a very special day. To top it off Rhonda won the 4th race to get us out the hole, she was so happy. The track is very beautiful & grading after every race was impressive. Wish we could spend more time with y’all, made us feel like we were back @ the Fair Grounds. Wish I could Train a string @ Santa Anita, jockeys from Louisiana have done well w y’all , too bad I couldn’t train with y’all. The next chance I get to your track we hope to spend more time. Doug O Neil &Joe Talimo along w the Desormos are our favorites. Thanks from Richie Mac & Rhonda for the best experience on our 40th

The food was delicious. I ordered the prime rib and it was juicy and tasty. I did go the day of the Kentucky Derby so it was a bit busy. It took a little while to get our bread and soda but other than that, everything else was good. I would recommend and I will go back. Maybe on a day when it is not so busy.

We did the brunch on the day of the Kentucky Derby, and personally it was way overpriced for the amount and options of food there. The food was good, but it would have been awesome to have a few more breakfast options. We selected the brunch since we were going to be spending the day there, but honestly next time we will just order off of the regular menu because there are far more options and we saw some of the others patrons plates as they were being served and it looked much better than what we got for brunch.

Horseracing at Santa Anita Park is always an extraordinary experience enhanced by the beauty of the setting and the hospitality of the Frontrunner Restaurant. By far the best way to go to the races.

The food was terrible . For a racetrack that you bet and spend a lot of money you would think they would have excellent food. The hamburger was so dry and tough with the bun hard as a rock.. How can you screw up a Hamburger!
Everything we tried was awful. Even the bread basket they charge you for had two small rolls in it that was cold!!!French fries Cold!
Terrible,

We had a wonderful time in the Frontrunner at Santa Anita Park. It was a beautiful day at the track. Everybody was friendly and inviting. Michael was our waiter. He was terrific. He was very attentive to our needs that included appetizers, main course and drinks! I highly recommend spending a day at Santa Anita Racetrack.

Unfortunately my egg omelet took three tries to get it right. Am allergic to peppers, our great waiter, Michael, made note of this, however, when the plate was served the first and second time, there were peppers mixed in with the potatoes. Michael apologized profusely, however it was not his fault. Asked for the bread basket 4 times, it never showed up. French fries were cold. Michael took the omelet off the bill. It was a fun afternoon however plenty of areas to improve.

That was quite possibly one of the WORST brunches I have see in decades. The steak was cooked to leather, the desserts were dry and the service was terrible. We bused our own table after the empty dishes sat at our table for hours and got a pitcher of water from the waiter stand because our dude didn't come by for more than 2 hours in the afternoon. The brunch was $50 a person AND they charged $3 for a bloody SELTZER and $5 for a lemonade - WTHeck. Drinks are not included? Really? What a BLOODY rip off.

Stay away, or reserve a table, avoid the crappy brunch with bad service and just order a drink. You can get a good roast beef sammy or dog or burger from downstairs and eat it in the Frontrunner at your table.

The room is great and you can avoid the animals downstairs, but pass on the brunch and save yourself some coin.

It would not surprise me if Santa Anita is gone in a few years. There was almost no one there on a Sunday. Very different than my childhood experience in the 70's and 80's going with my parents and granddad.

I was really disappointed when I wasn’t given a window table because I emailed and called for reservations a week a head and was told to do so on this website.. When I arrived at reservations was told it wasn’t noted for window table. So was very irritating because they still had several tables available and wasn’t given one. No point in emailing or calling..
