Desserts were the best part hands down. Main good dishes were a bit cold but had a variety of food.
Was super easy to get to a table and they were spread out nicely. They had people taking plates quickly off the table and filling up drinks too.
We do appreciate them working on a thanksgiving while we had dinner.
We had the Thanksgiving Buffet in the Ballroom. Excellent!
The food was outstanding. Thanksgiving buffets can be underwhelming. This was the exception. Everything was delicious! Such attention to detail with each dish offered. This was held in a ballroom so it was rather austere. Due to covid, servers were only offering clean up, coffee and tea but they were readily available. Excellent overall
Excellent! The Lake Lawn team never disappoints. Even though the dining room was closed this year and with new protocols they still put on a great Thanksgiving feast.
Beautiful views of the lake and had a live piano player which made for a nice atmosphere!
Was disappointed in the prime rib buffet. The prime rib was red as can be - hard to cut the meat- and fatty! My mom was in a walker and they wouldn’t let us sit near the buffet even though the restaurant was not busy. They said it was for bigger parties only.
We’ve been to the resort three times before and have been to the frontier for dinner and the Sunday breakfast buffet. Was disappointed for the cost of dinner $140 for three people plus tip!
Good food. Great omelets and brisket goooooood goooooood gooooooood
The buffet was WAAYYY overpriced for what you got. Most of the food was NOT hot, and some basic sauces and condiments were not available. After we were seated, we waited 15 minutes for someone to come and take our drink orders. We finally had to flag someone down. They were not that busy. I understand that everyone is under-staffed now, but when you're a rather up-scale resort outside of Lake Geneva and it's Father's Day Weekend you should have been better prepared.
I made a reservation for the dinning room for four. We were seated in the over flow area when there was plenty of tables that were open in the actual dining room the entire time we were there!
The Resort though very dated throughout was interesting and expansive. The restaurant was the same. The brunch was very over priced for the quality and selections. The server needed more training to capably handle the basics to support a simple, serve oneself brunch. Disappointing.
Father’s Day brunch BBQ & beer. Dad’s got a free beer & got to keep the glass. The brisket was delicious !
Went to Fathers Day brunch and it was fantastic! Can’t wait to go back!
The food was very good. Some of the
vegetables were scarce (asparagus)
Love the whole carrots but they were very hard. Cheese cake great but could use some other deserts.
The carpets in the hallways smelled.
This could be a Great resort with fresh paint and clean up.
The buffet was like kids food, Mac & cheese chicken tenders fried chicken etc.
Personally we didn’t feel the buffet was worth $40 per person. The prime rib was the “main event” and had a ton of fat on it. The only other real entree was the walleye, and it was over cooked. Besides that there were minimal options, mainly kids meal items such as chicken tenders and Mac and cheese. Even the side items , such as veggies, were undercooked. I think dropping the price of the buffet and bringing back the a la carte menu might make it worth it to return.
Since we arrived toward the end of the breakfast buffet there was not much of bacon or sausage, fruit, biscuits and gravy. They did bring more out later, but it was disappointing. If we came again, we would come earlier.
The prime rib was good, everything else was not. Overcooked, dry, hard or plain.
Anniversary 16 yrs
We had the prime rib buffet. This was the only choice. Prime rib was great. Desserts were great. The rest of the food was OK. Thought the price was high for what you got. Service was really good. Nice view of the lake. It was our anniversary, we were treated nicely. Would like to go back for the regular menu when its available.
The view was wonderful and music was very entertaining. The piano player was outstanding. Desserts ran out quickly so if you see something that you like, grab it even when you're just getting your meal.
Great service and great food.
The best part about the brunch was being able to see my family on Mother’s Day. The servers were really rude though, and when my mom asked for a plate was told to go find her own. The food was cold, maybe Luke warm at best. I really don’t like being that person to complain, however when you are paying $50/person for a brunch you just expect better. It was bottomless mimosas yet they never refill your drink after you finish one, so that doesn’t matter much either.
Unfortunately we were seated next to a door to the outside and several patrons came and went. Pretty chilly
Love it the environment plus the services was the best
Good effort on a holiday, beautuful views of the Lake. Good, attentive service. Food was average, though desserts were above, and chef serving them was delightful. Most " hot" food was lukewarm and some cold. Needed staff to do a better job of reminding patrons to wear masks away from the table. Well-priced with included champagne.
The Mother’s Day brunch was underwhelming for the $50 price tag. The food selection was quite small missing some of the brunch basics. The service was ok at best and the hostes stand was not very professional since there were four employees bickering over the seating of a large group while the line kept growing. It was at least five minutes of listening to all the disarray. I do have to say on the positive side they went above and beyond when it came to Covid safety. I believe they did everything they could to keep a brunch safe.
Mother’s Day brunch was amazing and service was excellent!!
We went for the Mother’s Day brunch and had a fabulous time! We will be going back again.
This was the first time I had been there for a holiday brunch. The food and service were excellent. Will definitely keep it in mind for next year.
Our Server Rick, is very conscientious and timely.
Our server was absent a lot. We never got rolls and butter. Food was very good. Prime rib was a little raw for our table. We were charged for 2 glasses of red wine and I only had one.
We asked for water and never got it.
Let's just say its been better.
Perfect evening overlooking the water , enjoyed watching a wedding too
The service and the view were great. The food was good but the prices are a little to high.
Great prime rib. Attentive service. Classic Wisconsin atmosphere.
Having been to brunch in the past but understanding COVID-19 mitigation we decided to go for brunch. The food was tasteless and lukewarm. The staff acted as though they were tired and didn’t want to be there. It was a true disappointment for the cost. Denny’s would have been a better choice
It was the Easter brunch... the food was good but not great... our server was very sweet and kind but not efficient. It took more than 20 minutes to get our drinks and nobody came to remove used plates... portion plates were SMALL.
We have been going to Lake Lawn for over 50 years and we were disappointed in the service. Restaurant was not crowded but our waitress was very discombobulated and our food was not hot.
Food was overpriced for the quality received. Prime rib was bloody and undercooked, shrimp appetizer was an odd flavor pairing that would have been better for red meat, not a fish plate.
Great staff and Manager. Very good food.
