The menu features an enticing presentation of grilled meats, seafood and vegetables. Frontera Cocina will delight friends, family and food-lovers with exciting flavors and a contemporary Mexican experience.
Our waitress was very helpful in arranging a birthday surprise for my mom.
Loved the margaritas!!!
Great food and drinks! Don’t LOVE the atmosphere but the food makes up for it big time. Got the swordfish and a la cava avocado margarita.
Carney Asada was amazing! Mango Guacamole too....
What great place to go for dinner at Disney springs. Food , service, and restaurant was a great experience. The margaritas we're the best we ever had
We always enjoy the food and adult beverages here. The kids loved their meals as well.
Once again did not disappoint. In fact, every time we come back it seems better.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere as always.
Irina our waitress was very well trained which is something I look for in a restaurant. She knew the menu, made recommendations when asked and was very attentive to our needs. The five dollar margaritas were probably the best I've ever had-tart not sour. We loved the guacamole with bacon. My husband and our friend had the carne asada which is beef that has been marinated for 48 hours-they loved it. My husband has an aversion to fat and he said-no fat-no gristle. Our friend's wife and I had the enchiladas mole which was delicious and the leftovers tasted great the next morning for breakfast. The restaurant is bright, well decorated and very clean. It was so nice to be able to eat at a Frontera restaurant w/o having to pay 40.00 to park in downtown Chicago.
Food was great! Jay was our waiter and is an extremely knowledgable, helpful, efficient and friendly!!!
Food was exceptional. Had a salad with shrimp added. Palate pleasing through every bite and really fresh greens. The salad was perfectly dressed and a great flavor, could make a non veggie lover happy
The garlicky sauteed shrimp was tender a delightful. The service was impeccable.
We sat outdoors away from speakers by lagoon which was serene. Indoors is loud.
Food was delicious, fresh, and creative. Service was good. Just very loud inside.
Too expensive for the amount of food. No one in my party of 4 was satisfied.
Good food as usual. Music was very loud for lunchtime.
Great food, it was truly an amazing dinning experience.
Restaurant is at Disney Springs which is a family place - waitress was not very friendly at all and seemed perturbed with us because we had two small children
Really enjoyed our food here on Saturday night (9/15/18), and the server and chef were accommodating; we have a party with allergies (shellfish, soy, sesame and berries). It was a good experience and we will visit again. Most of our party had the enchiladas,we shared nachos, and I had a salad with extra avocado. Margaritas all around, and I especially enjoyed my mango rita with the spicy salted rim.
The only negative was the hostess stand confusion (not just for us, but for others as well). One young woman in particular didn't seem to have it together...possibly a newbie? As mentioned though, our server and chef were great! Wish I could recall our server's name! (We sat across from the kitchen, next to the bar at a table that shared a bench with others, but had 2 chairs as well, and we ate at about 9:30pm...although arrived an hour earlier, and did have 8:45 reservations made through Open Table.)
It’s located in Disney Springs....So expect tourist prices and to “spring” for you meal. All selections are very good, but pricey. This is not your regular Mexican restaurant - It’s a Chef Rick Bayless restaurant at a Disney property. $$. Specialty drink$ are expen$ive - $ip responsibly! Recommend reservations or a long wait during prime dining hours. Our server was very accomodating and friendly.
We have been here 3 times. The first was really excellent and the second was really good. This last time the selection was far less, we asked about specials and we were told “we don’t have any specials”. My wife’s food was cold and my portions were small. The margarita were outstanding and always have been. But this place has gone way downhill in a very short period of time. It’s very sad because we had really enjoyed it.
Frontera is similar to any Walt Disney World dining experience: Really expensive for mediocre food, and anywhere outside the Orlando area, a place like this would close down in a couple months. I expected more from a Rick Bayless restaraunt, but the food was terribly unbalanced. Food was so heavily salted I'm surprised Frontera doesn't charge for the added high blood pressure. Skip this place all together, it's as authentic as a Taco Bell.
Best Mexican restaurant in Central Florida. The guacamole is amazing with yummy chips. The chicken flautas are the best - not too crisp with delicious chicken and gorgeous presentation. The carnitas were fabulous.
We have eaten at this restaurant several times before and always loved it. Whenever we are in Orlando we look forward to eating a good meal here. My husband ordered chicken tacos as he has many times before and the chicken was all dark meat which he doesn't like so he left his whole meal. Previously the chicken tacos were made with white meat. We asked our waiter and he said they changed the menu about a month ago. I am sad to say it wasn't for the better and we will not be returning.
Carne Asada was delicious!!
The margaritas were delicious. The carnitas and carne asado tacos were outstanding! Only disappointment was dessert - the paloma tart was bland, and the pastry crust was so hard we could barely cut it. I haven't subtracted a star because the coffee was superior, the service was OUTSTANDING, and because we love Rick Bayless. Just, please fix that tart or take it off the menu, as it was a low point in an otherwise perfect dinner.
Enchiladas were great. The restaurant is light and spacious.
The food best so far in Orlando . I have travelled and eaten at some good Mexican places and this qualifies as a top one.
The flavors and the aromas of the dishes are outstanding
Delicious food. Chicken mole was especially memorable. Fast and friendly service. Family friendly. Request children’s menu for several great options. Available on Disney Dining plan.
Everything was great. Service food etc. menu was a bit limited. And kids menu even more so. But that’s the only thing that kept it from perfect. Good job. Good restaurant.
Excelente restaurante, comida auténtica mexicana de buen sabor y buen servicio
Love the place, and love watching the owner make his dishes on TV great food
This was our favorite restaurant, but they changed the food. Please bring back the old menu!!! Why would you change a great thing? The chicken tacos used to be awesome, now like a salty mushy mess. Service is always great.
Expensive and very average quality food. Children’s meal came with tinned carrots!
Service was excellent as were the cocktails, unfortunately the food was no better than average. There are a number of better options available in Disney Springs.
Frontera Cocina never disappoints -- we have been dining here since it opened. The food is consistently great! The servers are very attentive and efficient. We visit with our sons who require a special menu and the chef is very amenable to our sons' needs. Whether you are dining as a couple or celebrating with a large group, this restaurant is perfect. Frontera Cocina has become our favorite restaurant at Disney Springs.
The restaurant interior reminded us of a cafeteria or diner but the food and service was outstanding. I had the carnitas and my husband had the swordfish. Both were excellent. We also had cocktails— vodka cranberry for my husband and Frontera Margarita for me. The margarita was refreshingly tart but I could not taste the tequila at all.
Our server was personable & very attentive. My meal was a bit too spicy but appreciated that they were able to have it with shrimp instead of shrimp & scallops. The guacamole is always so good & fresh. Love coming here.
If you like pork you MUST get the carnitas....it's just sooooo good! Also love the hummus but you have to like a little spice! It's a must go!
The food was good but not exceptional. The ambiance and motif was spot on, and the service was good.
Our waiter Tony was wonderful. Wonderful service and the food was outstanding. Great signature cocktails. Highly recommended.
The food was AMAZING as well as the service and staff! I will most definitely come back to this place.
