The menu features an enticing presentation of grilled meats, seafood and vegetables. Frontera Cocina will delight friends, family and food-lovers with exciting flavors and a contemporary Mexican experience.
Food was very good, kind of basic. Portion size was small for a Mexican joint. Drinks were very good
Food was good. Tables are too close for comfort. And this is second week in a row making open table reservation that we’ve been seated next to major walkway. Busy busy busy and not cheap. Much better value at more local restaurants.
Food was delicious! A bit expensive but to be expected everything is made with organic ingredients. Would absolutely recommend!
great food and service! some of the best mexican food in Orlando. good tequila list.
I’ve had much better “authentic” Mexican food elsewhere, for half the price. Service was exceptional! Avocado margarita was delish!
Food was great and full of flavor. Loud ambiance but fairly common in any restaurant at Disney springs. Our server Javier was very polite and very good. Plan to visit again soon.
Drinks as well as the entrees were overpriced for the quality of the items.
2 drinks, chips and salsa, and 2 dishes including tip for $100 was excessive for this type of restaurant.
Will say the service was excellent.
The pumpkin seed hummus was outstanding. Everything was great. Will definitely recommend this place.
We’ve been to this restaurant multiple times and the food was always top notch. Yesterday however, not so much. The tortilla soup was extremely watery and bland, the carnitas were dry and the chips seemed very stale. However, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who would love a great dining experience as mentioned before, this was the one and only time out of the last 6 times where the food just wasn’t up to PAR. The one amazing bright spot was our server. She was amazing and very friendly. Came to the table multiple times to check in and always had the biggest and brightest smile! Again, will absolutely be visiting again.
They were featuring their brand new menu. Unfortunately, if you are not a meat eater there is only 1 entree option. They were able to modify another entree but I feel as though there should be a wider variety of options. There was a legitimate inch of cheese on my enchiladas. Just seemed way too excessive and greasy.
Food took long and came out like warm.
Extra side item wasn’t put into the order and had to wait.
Fairly average restaurant and food. The menu is limited and the items that we tried were nothing to write home about. I would say our server was very nice and attentive but overall the prices did not justify the quality of the food or the experience.
We had great hopes for this Rick Bayliss restaurant, but sadly the promise of authentic Mexican food was met with the Disney-fied touristy version. Nothing we had was bad, but with bland flavors and overcooked pork and chicken nothing we had was representative of a world-renowned chef either. When the best item was a mezcal cocktail vice the food that is unfortunately saying a lot. That said, we did have a wonderful server who was much better than the food we were being served.
One of if not the best restaurant in Disney Springs!
The goal was to eat elevated Mexican food in a casual atmosphere. The space is gorgeous. I was hoping for fresh and authentic flavors but they missed the mark big time with the Baja menu. Every thing was over-cooked, over seasoned, and over priced. The guacamole was good. The calamari was the first offensive dish, followed by the queso, tortilla soup, and entree salad. It’s rare that someone at the table won’t finish things off but this was definitely one of those occasions. Every was painfully salty. Also, Open door gave me the opportunity to mention if it was a special occasion, which I did. We were there celebrating my best friend’s milestone birthday. Our server didn’t even mention it. I was genuinely disappointed.
Third visit here . The food has been consistently great . We had Queso Fundido , Carne Asada , Chicken Enchilada , Quattro Leches Cake and Bunuelitos. All brilliant
Excelente atención, todos son muy amables en especial el gerente siempre atento a lo que el cliente necesita. Cada vez que estamos de vacaciones paramos en Frontera. Excelente comida.
Decent food, however told the server my son had but allergy and his guacamole came with pumpkin seeds drizzled on top. The server advised pumpkin seeds are not nuts. Think they could use some additional training on food allergies and glad we caught the error.
Great food, great service and very pretty ambiance.
Food was delicious and authentic. Staff was kind, courteous, and knowledgeable about the menu. Would be 5 stars if they bussed the tables after first course.
No complaints! Our server was knowledgeable and helpful, the food was great! Everything was perfect!
Great food and ambiance
Elise was such a pleasure. She made great dinner and drink recommendations
Good food, good service, comfortable atmosphere, fair price for the food and service
Extremely overpriced! Very small portions and very expensive.
It’s definitely worth visiting if only to break the daily Disney/Universal junk food offerings. However, Disney Springs is a full on commercial village looking for your dollar at every turn and Frontera Cocina was no exception. This is expensive Mexican food and while the quality of food was ok it was not that good. That said, we arrived at 3pm and benefitted from Margarita Happy hour, and they were not only very tasty but the classic was excellent value at $5.
So I went here specifically because I have been a fan of Chef Baylis for years and I love Mexican food.
Living in south Florida and a fan of Chef was a little difficult given that his restaurants are in the Chicago area, but I buy his Frontera Salsas all the time.
So took my kid to Disney and realized Chef Baylis has a restaurant!!
The Topolo Margarita was the best I ever had... but it wasn’t shaken tabelside like the menu says.
The salsas were obviously the same ones you get from his jars, not freshly made.
The queso fundido was fantastic, but adding the chorizo for $2 was literally 1/2 teaspoon of sausage. It was very good but 🙄
I had the carne asada tacos and my wife had the pork belly. They were average at best. For the price, I expected much more. I get carne asada tacos from my neighborhood joint in Pompano that tastes much better than this carmelIzed onion overpriced version of whatever.
Baylis has definitely sold his soul to Disney. Hey’s making money here, I lost a lot of respect for him after this visit. I’m sure his Chicago joints are truer to his roots but this a total sellout for $$
As a local resident of the area I visit this restaurant and DS very often, I bit disappointed with the menu changes recently and the lack of options as when it originally opened
Great food, overpriced
The food was absolutely horrible and not edible as well as ice cold and overpriced!
Service was amazing! Great ambiance! Food was decent. Not what we expected.
Excellent food and craft cocktails! Torally worth stopping in.
My husband’s birthday celebration: Wonderful dining experience, unique margaritas & tasty dishes!
There is no benefit to using open table to make a reservation at Frontera Cocina.
On my most recent visit to this restaurant I made a reservation although when I arrived was told by the receptionist that she would keep my original time of 8:30pm even though 2 other groups without a reservation were allowed to go before us. I went to notify the presumed manager and he was rude and did not want to further discuss our concern. This is the second visit that this has occurred with this restaurant.
I had also indicated on my reservation that we wanted to celebrate a birthday and they didn’t even acknowledge this occasion.
As we left the “manager” and the receptionist were in front of us as we exited and they did not even say goodby and and just looked at me with a sour look on their face.
Enjoyed the pork belly taco, had good service.
Frontera Cocina has excellent food, the service is excellent. I have been there 3 times already for different occasions and it doesn't disappoint. I do feel however that the plates are way expensive for the amount and ingredients. For example the queso fundido appetizer is 14 dollars, that doesn't cost too much to do. Pork belly tacos are 24 and the portion is really small and although delicious the ingredients aren't that expensive. I do not know if the restaurant is expensive because it is in Disney property and maybe their rents are too much but it is something to think about. Other than that I would recommend.
Our server Jay made the entire experience incredible as always!
Great Mexican food & can’t hear yourself think. Went there for a light dinner on 7/4. Wall to wall crowd, extremely noisy, very pricey, great food.
