Very cool to eat at a train station. French onion soup was nothing special. Lobster tail was very petite. Tour of Italy was good except for the “plant based” meatball. Nice to experience once, but wouldn’t necessarily go back.
Awesome experience. Extensive menu. Great drinks!
Our reservation for 7:30 turned into a 8:10 seating! Others were leaving out of frustration. IF we would ever go again, we would NOT bother making a reservation! After we ordered, it took another 48 minutes to get our food! ...and then it was twice the serving of food (at twice the price) that we ordered. To be fair, the waitress did give us one glass of water to hold us over. Then we were told if we wanted to attend the dance party in the next room, we had to order our food in "to-go" containers, as there is NO service in the adjoining area!!! The venue has possibilities, as it's an old train station. Better management is definitely needed to reach the Front Street Station's full potential.
The place is nice, but it was weird parking in front of the open kitchen door. There was a bunch of garbage in front of the entrance to the banquet room, too. Both of these things took away from our first impression. The food was good. Our server was a little cold, and it took her a long time to notice that our drinks needed filled. I also asked for A-1, and after some time, she brought a bottle that had less than 1/2 a teaspoon of liquid in it. Then after quite a wait, she came back and acted surprised that the bottle was empty. By the time she finally brought a new one, my steak was cold. I didn't complain because it was pointless by then.
Food was tasty. I thought the portions could have been a bit larger.
Live music was very good and volume was right for the size.
Seating was social distance compliant. Quick service with pleasant staff personalities.
Food- burger not fresh ground beef. Steak was done as requested and very good. Cold draft beer. Entertainment in bar area was perfect volume. Will go back.
The. Appetizers were spot on; the soups and salads were great. However, it was completely ruined when they took over 20 minutes to put out 2 lobster tails which were so burnt they were like rubber.
I choked my down since I don’t like to waste food but I sent my Wife’s back and even the second tail was over cooked.
It would have been a great experience if it wasn’t for their inability to cook lobster tails. Don’t think I’ll be back.
We waited over an hour for our steaks. When they came the one was like shoe leather. Manager never came to our table to address the issue. Ordered a cherry margarita that tasted like cough syrup, asked to send it back after one sip, ordered a beer. Took 15 minutes to get my beer and they still charged me for the drink. Terrible customer service.
The service here was extremely slow on this occasion and in the past. Whenever a server is required to obtain an alcoholic beverage from the bar for any of their customers it severely delays table service.
Food was excellent. Was worth the price. Stayed for entertainment after
A lot of potential with this location but just seems to be poorly executed. Ambiance inside on the night we visited was just very poor. If the food was better I think it would have made up for the atmosphere but even the food was subpar with prices that are higher than other similar dishes & restaurants in the area. Just not worth it in our opinion but with some fixes I’m sure it could be nice
Excellent service and nice menu options.
Host didn’t receive my reservation on open table, however there were many empty tables to choose from. Outside dining was great under trees, even a train went by. Service was on the slow side- even though we were the only one of 2 tables seated. Waitress never came back to check if we enjoyed our sandwiches or if we needed another drink. Music was 50’s style-a little too loud. Food was good/ price was as expected.
Wonderful dinner! Food was delicious and service was quick. Lots of drink options to choose from. Will definitely be back. 😊
This was a wonderful dining experience in a converted train station...menu offered many selections from "simple bar food" such as wings, pretzel, sandwiches, burgers to full entrees such as new york strip steak, bbq ribs, crab cakes; I especially like the smaller portions section offering full meals including beverage, entrée with choice of potato and side and rice pudding or ice cream for dessert. My date ordered the fish and chips special which he enjoyed very much the fish was very flaky and lightly coated with I think was a panko coating (large portion that even appeared to look like a fish) served with a home made coleslaw and fresh cut french fries. I chose the smaller portion crab cake dinner and it was a perfectly portioned lump crab without any filler just lightly coated with bread crumbs on the outside to hold it together very nicely seasoned this was accompanied with a baked potato and I chose the squash medley (veg of the day) which was perfectly prepared and slightly seasoned. The bread basket and the spreads were fabulous; however we did ask for an additional slice for there were only three slices in the basket and it was so good I wanted a second (two people 3 slices?) Coffee was fresh and my cocktail a fruity margarita was very well made. Service was wonderful...we had made reservations however had gotten there a few minutes late but were joyfully greeted upon entering offered seating indoor or outdoor-due to the heat we chose to eat indoors and taken to a very nice table in a beautifully decorated room that appeared to be an addition added onto the original train station overlooking the train tracks very bright and airy, we had walked thru a darker more intimate nicely decorated more formal dining area but really enjoyed the openness of the "sunroom" dining. After dinner we did walk thru and view the "ballroom" which was a beautifully decorated room flanked on both sides by train cars with dining accommodations; the main diningroom had many photos
Nice place to eat. Food was good and service was great. I would go back again.
Good food, service was great. Music on patio was a bit dated for me. Only big complaint, won't stop me from going back.
Food was good. Waitress was slow and disorganized. We got our pre dinner drink after we ate dinner.
Poor service. Waited over an hour for our food, some items were cold, sent baked potato instead of mashed, forgot corn. Very disappointed, has really gone downhill
Food, service and atmosphere were wonderful. Beer was way overpriced.
The bar was busy but the dining room was not so the noise level was our table. The dishes we had were the lasagna and beef tips pasta. The food was decent. We had the upside down cake and pecan pie for dessert. We wait staff was very attentive and professional.
The menu on open table was not as presented at the restaurant. When I asked about it, I was told, where did you see that menu? I said, on open table. He said it’s wrong. The male host was telling the servers where to wait on tables and the servers were taking wrong tables. Very mixed up people. We were seated and waited over 30 minutes for a drink to come and it never came. Customers sat after us had drinks and salads before we even had a drink. Not even water. After waiting the 30 minutes, we decided to leave. The manager said he would give us another server and it was not that appealing anyway. So we left. It must have been the only restaurant in town.
There was a band playing, yet only 1 bartender scheduled to work. Took over 35 minutes for drink orders. Waitress kept apologizing- owner finally stepped in to help after waitress complained.
We stopped in after going to the LLWS as it appeared like this was one of the few restaurants close to Williamsport without driving over an hour south. Maybe it was because it was 8pm but it was OK. Apparently the Blackened Chicken Alfredo is their go-to dish as it was the special when we were there and I have seen it on multiple reviews. We couldn't help but wonder what was actually made fresh vs heating up out of a jar/can/etc. Honestly, this restaurant would be well served by reducing the food choices on the menu and sourcing fresh produce. A nice frisee or field green salad with goat cheese, some select pasta dishes with homemade sauces, a couple cuts of meat seared, some locally sourced and organic produce...it could go a LONG way. On the bar side of the house, sure have your pub-grub, but in the sit-down part of the restaurant they need to pick up their game.
We go for the music on the patio. Wait staff is not experienced, nice personallities but not around to give you a menu...always bring the wrong drinks....wait forever to order and for food. Food is below average. Music on patio is very lovely.
Mother’s Day dinner. Slow service. Food was ok.
Went for the mother’s Day buffet and it was absolutely awful. There was barely any food and what was there was dry or cold. Took forever for a waitress to even greet us. Dirty chairs and table cloth. Paid $125 just for 5 people. Absolutely worthless and awful.
We have eaten here a few times time the past two years and never had an issue till tonight. Service was slow, orders were wrong, of the five dinners, two came out and then the three that ordered the special came out about 10 minutes later. Asked for refills on drinks and that never happened. Overall very poor service, we won’t be back.
Graduation
We have eaten here several times over the years. Ou experience Saturday night was was typical. The food was superb, service was excellent, and the atmosphere was pleasant, quiet and cozy. Parking is right in front of the Station (Building).
We enjoyed our evening at Front Street Station. My guests liked it better than I did. It wasn't bad, just not the food I like to eat. For instance, while minor, they use battered fries. They just aren't what I like.
Have eaten there many times over the years. It has always been an enjoyable experience. Outside on a summers evening is very pleasant.
Service was very slow and when our food finally came it was obvious that it had been held under a light for some time.
Absolutely wonderful service wonderful food. The prime rib melted in your mouth. It was worth every penny and we will return soon. Highly recommend
The food was very good as usual but the comedy show was mediocre. It was so cold in the room during the show and they were not very entertaining.
Visiting our son at Susquehanna we found all local restaurants were booked except this one. We gave it a shot. Unfortunately I cannot say it was awesome. It was ok. Food was actually on the small side. I had the fish sandwich and the fish piece was seriously tiny. My father in law had a burger and he asked for medium rare, it was well done. We asked for a dry martini - DO NOT ask for a dry martini. They have no idea how to make it. So for a quick bite, grabbing a beer, watching a game I'm sure its fine. For decent food I would consider something else.
service was slow and the food was not cooked correctly
The restaurant did NOT recognize the reservation that I made online. It's a bad start to a meal when your reservation isn't even recognized.
Sid reservations on-line and requested dining to be on their 2bd floor level. Arrived early and was promptly seated ib that area. We were the only ones ln 2nd floor dining that night so most restaurants would not fulfill that request, I
am sure. Waitress was always smiling, even though we were seated on the 2nd floor dining area and that required her making repeates trips to us. Highly recommend this place.
Great place to go eat nice food selection and great service
