Great for easy, delicious vegan food.
I loved everything about Front Street Cafe. It’s a really cute place. It’s not totally vegan but it’s more vegan than not.
Food was cold
A popular spot but open table makes it easy to plan in advance and get a reservation. Food is consistently good and there are options for vegans / vegetarians. I had the omelet of the day, with goat cheese, mushrooms and kalamata olives. I chose the side salad instead of potatoes, which was delicious.
I wish my omelet came with toast, though. Coffee is very good and water is served in glass jars so you don't have to ask for refills.
The rain caused a delay in tables, so we found seats at the bar. Amazing food though!
Had such a great dinner there with friends. Our server was such a doll and gave us awesome service. Hostesses and bartenders were also so friendly and again, great service. Loved! Thanks for a fun and delicious dinner.
My husband and I chose your restaurant because it had a vegan menu. We had the meatballs and squash spaghetti and the cheesesteak. Both were disappointing (spaghetti tasted like mush and the cheesesteak was dried out). Also half the desserts listed were unavailable at 7:30 pm. We do not plan to return.
Front Street Cafe's dinner menu was a bit pricey for the amount of food that was given. I ordered the shrimp papardelle and the portion was quite small and left me wanting more. The host sitting at the front of the restaurant was a bit rude. Even though I had made a reservation, we did not get a table in the part of the restaurant that had a nice ambiance and by the bar, they instead sat us by the stairs and bathroom.
Love the menu choices. Something for everyone including vegan & vegetarian. Portions were generous. Prices are good & service was great.
The decor was beautiful and the service excellent. The entrees tasted as good as they looked. Even the rest rooms were impressive!
We will be dinning here again.
Creative menu for Vegan Restaurant Week and the food was great!
Decent list of vegan and gluten free options, those with spicier tastebuds might sneak in (or ask for) some heat and acid to adjust flavors to their preference.
I brought half my entree home (it was huge)!
Our reservation was at 8:30. When we arrived they told us the kitchen was closed.
The vegan reuben was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Our waitress, Sam, was very sweet and took good care of us. The music was very low and hard to hear, but overall it was a fantastic experience.
We went here for our anniversary on Sunday night at 6pm and saw the vegan restaurant week deal (which was not a great deal) so we decided to stick with the regular menu and split a few things.
Service was awful. I’ve been here one time before and had a wonderful server. My server this time was an unfriendly man with long hair who took forever to greet us, bring our orders and drinks, did not follow the steps of service I was hoping for, dropped our main courses while we were still enjoying our soups, and went on to drop dessert menus and try to get our order while we were still enjoying dinner. I was astounded! I had to let him know that we were still eating. When we finally were finished our meal, he came back and seemed annoyed that we didn’t want to order dessert. I’ve been working in this industry for the past decade and would never treat any guests like this. With that said, I am a server and understand one needs to pay their bills, so I still tipped 20%. He left a negative lasting impression and I just don’t understand how you could treat your guests like this.
The food was pretty good, love the French onion soup!
meals where brought to table one at a time with 10 minutes between each one.
Our food was delicious. Unfortunately, We had to wait for our drinks. When we finally did get them we where half way through our meals.
Great food, great space offering both intimate and spacious seating, outdoor and in. Amazing food and fantastic options for vegan eating. Can't wait to come back!
Met a friend at Front Street for dinner on Saturday. The hostess acknowledged my reservation and I was seated within minutes even though there were about 15 people waiting for tables at that time. Food and service was decent. The staff seemed a little unorganized physically moving tables around to accomodate people and even asked a couple sitting next to me to move so they could seat another party in that area. The tables for 2 are very close to one another so you just have to be comfortable with other people joining in your conversation. Fries were cold and vegan cheesesteak was tasty but the roll didn't taste fresh. Cucumber martini was delicious!
Staying in Fishtown for a few days on a family holiday and had some great food, but this place stood out from the crowd. Great food, great service and a great ambience and atmosphere, overall excellent and definitely recommend for both vegetarians and meat eaters.
Very accommodating staff. Terrific food at a reasonable cost.
Love front street cafe !! Usually come here for breakfast but decided to come for lunch and it was great. Got the fried chicken sandwich and it was soooo good! Never disappointed here.
Amazing food and ambiance. Wonderful for vegans/vegetarians with awesome selections.
Interesting menu with an excellent array of choices for non meat eaters. Attentive thoughtful service.
Good food. A lil overpriced but always yummy. Love the coffee and espresso and chai. Excellence relaxed atmosphere.
The food was great, love the place but the
Buffalo califlower was good. Perhaps the other vegan options are tasty. I had a fried chicken sandwich. It was good, but seemed a bit pricey for what you got.
I’ve been there many times and I like front street but this was really not ok. They were late, understaffed and there was a private party upstairs that was deafening.
Great!! Very accommodating! Had children with us and was still a great experience! Food and drinks were delish! Will be going back to check out the outdoor seating!
food was good, hit or miss depending on wait staff. If you go for brunch, you need to wait til 11 for the buffalo cauliflower, which is one of the main reasons to go here!
I took a group of 4 friends and my wife their for her birthday and we had an amazing dinner. Food and cocktails were amazing and not overly priced. Great location if you're seeing a show at the Fillmore. Only a 9 minute walk. Very cool ambiance. Fishtown/Northern Liberties tends to cater to the younger crowd these days but all of us are in our mid forties and we felt right at home. Front Street Cafe is highly recommended.
Had my birthday brunch here and it was great! Awesome experience
Great happy hour and lots of vegan options! Very busy after 6pm and the volume can get rather loud.
Great restaurant ! We had lunch, then went back for drinks w/friends and back for a 3rd time for dessert and late night cap. Hip ! Upcoming area ! Friendly !
The food was delicious!!!
Always a great meal and atmosphere. Probably our favorite place in the neighborhood.
Great service. Food was delicious, especially the cauliflower.
General tso cauliflower is a must! Delicious!
This is an interesting place. I'm not sure what to make of it. It's a quirky place with a mix of gluten free and vegan food along with a small sprinkling of options for meat eaters. There's a quirky mix of patrons too. The tables for 2 are uncomfortably close and awkward. Conversation is difficulty as a result. The food is well prepared if you find something you want although the buffalo cauliflower was way too hot. Parking can be difficult if you don't want to pay in the lot across the street. The service is exceptional which for me makes the experience a pleasant one. The best food can be ruined by the worst service. Overall I'd give it a 3.5 and I'll probably be back but not soon.
First I want to start out by saying that the staff is very friendly. We got there 45 mins before our reservation and they were still able to sit us before the time slot which was great! The place was very nice and clean and I really loved the decor and atmosphere. I didn’t know that the diner menu wasn’t available until after 5 and wasn’t super impressed with the afternoon menu options. However what I did eat and my guest was absolutely delicious. My kids enjoyed the chicken tenders, which they are very picky, and my friends tried some of the vegan/vegetarian options and enjoyed them. Overall I enjoyed the time and will definitely come back to try the diner options.
