Front Street Cafe
This unique space houses a coffee shop, fresh juice bar, restaurant with outdoor seating, indoor & outdoor bars and private upstairs event space.
Many of the ingredients, down to the condiments, are either made in-house or sourced locally and sustainably. Casual brunch service begins early and runs through mid-afternoon seven days a week.
Our full bar serves creative cocktails made with freshly squeezed juices and innovative ingredients, an array of craft beers drawing from both local and west-coast breweries, and a selection of wines available by the glass and by the bottle.
Free WiFi is offered in a comfortable second-floor community space overlooking the El, while a backyard garden has table seating for 80.
Great happy hour and lots of vegan options! Very busy after 6pm and the volume can get rather loud.
Great restaurant ! We had lunch, then went back for drinks w/friends and back for a 3rd time for dessert and late night cap. Hip ! Upcoming area ! Friendly !
Always a great meal and atmosphere. Probably our favorite place in the neighborhood.
Great service. Food was delicious, especially the cauliflower.
This is an interesting place. I'm not sure what to make of it. It's a quirky place with a mix of gluten free and vegan food along with a small sprinkling of options for meat eaters. There's a quirky mix of patrons too. The tables for 2 are uncomfortably close and awkward. Conversation is difficulty as a result. The food is well prepared if you find something you want although the buffalo cauliflower was way too hot. Parking can be difficult if you don't want to pay in the lot across the street. The service is exceptional which for me makes the experience a pleasant one. The best food can be ruined by the worst service. Overall I'd give it a 3.5 and I'll probably be back but not soon.
First I want to start out by saying that the staff is very friendly. We got there 45 mins before our reservation and they were still able to sit us before the time slot which was great! The place was very nice and clean and I really loved the decor and atmosphere. I didn’t know that the diner menu wasn’t available until after 5 and wasn’t super impressed with the afternoon menu options. However what I did eat and my guest was absolutely delicious. My kids enjoyed the chicken tenders, which they are very picky, and my friends tried some of the vegan/vegetarian options and enjoyed them. Overall I enjoyed the time and will definitely come back to try the diner options.
My order was messed up not once, but twice! Manager asked me what they should do to make the situation better 🤦🏻♀️ Food was good, but service was terrible
Post wedding dinner
My girlfriend and I were celebrating her birthday. I'm GF and she is vegan. Everything was fantastic!
The staff are so accommodating. We were there with our two very little grandchildren and the ladies were so helpful. They even guided us on where my husband should park after he dropped us off. The food was wonderful. We plan on coming back again and again.
I love that they have vegan and regular choses for most of their foods. The portions are generous and the atmosphere is lively. We really enjoyed the buffalo califlower and the chocolate cake was heavenly! I was go back if parking wasn't so inconvenient
The food and ambiance were good. The service for brunch was quite slow and less attentive than I expect.
The food was delicious and service great but we sat on top of the couples sitting next to us and heard every word of their conversations- their was a long bench seating and small tables 8 inches or so apart with the other person sitting in a chair facing you..it was awkward at first being that close, not sure if they had additional seating upstairs, we were there at 5:30 before a concert..
Unfortunately, the service was so poor that it put a damper on the entire experience. It is enough to never want to go back.
Great neighborhood spot! Loved the Stroganoff!!
Awesome brunch!!! Love this spot for brunch, the food is great and not expensive at all. We had the chicken and waffle bites and banana foster hotcakes (they were amazing!!!).
Went in for an early dinner, nice atmosphere. Friendly staff, food was really good and an overall good experience.
We've been here many times. Food at last visit was not well prepared. Service was inattentive. Willing to try again because it was good in the past, but needs to get back up to speed.
Love love love the Tostado Quinoa bowl!! Amazing mix of flavors and textures.
Food was excellent, the service was phenomenal! Great spot!
Omg I LOVED this place!!! The food was exceptional-especially the vegan options! I will definitely be back :)
Great casual spot. Delish vegetarian options. Friendly service. Good prices.
I LOVE Front Street Cafe. I've been multiple times since moving to Philly almost 2 years ago and I've never been disappointed. I try something new every time I go and the specials are always delicious. My favorite small plate options are the buffalo fried cauliflower, the brussel sprouts, and the mac and cheese. I'm OBSESSED with the fried chicken sandwich, and they had a shrimp & pea risotto during the summer that was so rich and creamy that I went back to get it 3 times. The service is always super friendly and I've never had a server I didn't like. The bar list is extensive and the team behind the bar is very knowledgeable and helpful. I'm a big fan and can't wait for my next dinner at FSC!
This was our second time dining at Front Street café. Our first visit was for some bar snacks and cocktails and we enjoyed the creativity of the menu and ambience so we decided to try brunch. Five us met there for brunch and again we found the menu to be creative and could accommodate a variety of dietary needs and tastes. The consensus was that the food was good to very good and a few items were great. Definitely a place we plan to dine at again in the future and we would recommend this place to anyone looking for a cool place with a creative menu and very good food. I don't mean to short change the cocktails as they were also very good.
Food was cold, too many onions, server got our order wrong
Great for vegans, veggies, and meat eaters to eat together. Everyone should order the Cauliflower appetizer (either Buffalo, Sriracha, General Tso's). Not deep fried but so delicious we came back the next day just for this dish
Great food and service as always!! The spicy vegan Mac and cheese special was amazing
Birthday brunch with my cousin
Another wonderful brunch at Front St Cafe! I've been going for years and this place never fails to be good: I have yet to be disappointed in something I order! It's my go-to place (especially as I live about 2 blocks away).
One of my favorite places in the city! My girlfriend is a vegan so we look for places with a varied menu. Front Street Cafe is definitely one of the best vegan spots in the city.
Amazing food, beautiful location! We got there early for our reservation and we got coffee and sat in the large front area by the coffee bar. So many awesome vegan options that vegan and non-vegan friends alike enjoyed!
Great place to go too! I love coming here with my friends from work for coffee and branch, also date night with my husband, or with my little family of four for dinner! :)
My wife’s birthday (we are vegan) and our friends are not ; FSC is a terrific spot that has items on the menu for everyone ; sat upstairs / very easy to have a conversation - food and wait staff both terrific ; this is a northern liberties gem
Loved the ambiance and the food was great! Will definitely return
I cannot remember our servers name but he had green tinted hair& he was just a doll. He was humorous & professional. Great food as always!
Prefer the dinner menu much more than brunch menu. I find their vegan/veg brunch options to be under seasoned while dinner (esp general tso’s cauliflower) is really delicious. Nicely decorated restaurant with good options for vegans and vegetarians.
My girlfriends and I went out for a Sunday brunch and love this place! And we will be back. We actually made a tradition to do brunch here at the end of every month. The food was really great. The place is beautiful!
Went for brunch, and the food just wasn't that good. Went with 3 other people, and of our 4 dishes, 2 were "good" (not great), with the other 2 being "mediocre" (juevos rancheros) and "bad" (turkey burger). Bloody Mary's were not good either. For the price, it was not a great experience.
As a note, we have been there for dinner, and were very happy with it.
Had a nice meal. Had the vegan cheesesteak which was a bit dry but overall very good. Also had the fried eggplant and cashew ricotta dish. Enjoyed this a lot. Sauce was a bit sweet for my taste but again overall very tasty and filling.
Enjoyed a brunch here on a weekend. Had reservations and was seated right away. Breakfast cocktails were good and normally priced for in the city. Food quality was good for their vegan options. The banana foster hot cakes were delicious especially the cashew cream sauce. Only negative was we did receive dirty silverware but the staff replaced them without an issue.
