Everything was great including the food and our waitress. The only downside is the shorter, black manager. He’s very rude and condescending every time I visit.
Server could’ve been a lot better. Also why aren’t the mimosa buckets equipped with two things of OJ instead of one and to top that off they charge for the extra OJ.
Because of the patio a fly was on the inside of the restaurant!
The food was promptly cooked and brought out!
Our waiter was great and knew the food well
Service was great, food was excellent. Prefect place for a date
Delicious food with a great atmosphere and friendly staff
Never been crazy about this place- lousy service and subpar bar food, plus watered down and sugary drinks. Yet I’ve been here twice because friends seem to like it. I don’t understand the attraction, and find it to be a complete waste of money. However I suffer through it to spend some time catching up. I do think this will be my last visit, however. At least it didn’t rain.
Service was horrible. Even though they take reservations online, when you arrive they tell you they do not take reservations - they accommodate you when you get there. Waited 20 min for a table.
10mins to be greeted, 10mins for water, 30 minutes for food, 35 minutes for drinks. Sandwich bread was wet. Food was cold. Drinks were wrong. Bill was wrong. Would not go back.
Food was great! We sat outside and service was average... our waiter sort of took long on some parts but he wasn’t bad.
This was our first visit to this restaurant (we had been to its other location but found out it was no longer open so we went here). There's a parking lot right down the road, and you get the price of the parking taken off of your bill at the restaurant which was nice. We had a reservation and were seated quickly, but then no waitress/waiter appeared. We sat for nearly 10 minutes before asking someone to find our server. The server we asked took our drink order and brought us our appetizer. He also took our dinner order before our server finally showed up. The food was okay. My son had to send his steak back because it was close to rare rather than med. well. All in all, it was an okay dinner but we probably wouldn't go back.
Cheesecake is great!
Decided to have brunch at this place because I was allowed to make a reservation & who likes to wait for 45 min-1hr on a Sunday when you can just arrange for them to expect you, right? Well, that's not the case here. I made a reservation for 2 @ 12:30 through the Open Table site that's available on this restaurant's site. I made sure to get there on time & upon entering the hostess told me that I would still have to wait 30 min to be seated. I told her I made a reservation for 12:30 so there should be a table ready since that's typically how reservations work? She pretty much told me reservations mean nothing. I then ask to speak with the supervisor or manager bc it's extremely frustrating to be hungry & expecting to be seated immediately only to be told that it doesn't work that way. Mark (the manager) began to tell me that just because you make a reservation doesn't mean they have to seat you immediately or even expect you for that matter... I have never in all my life of dining heard of this & being that I've worked in the food industry I KNOW that's not true. At this point, I already know it's going to be an uphill tug-a-war battle over what the true definition of making a reservation is so I let it go & went to the bar to wait. Once we were seated a Ms. Red took care of us (I was told her name was Red but the receipt said Shawnda so who knows). She was honestly the best part of the entire brunch experience here. She was kind, on time, and didn't forget about us. She also made a point to make sure my water was full at all times which I really appreciated. We dined near the water fountain & let me just say --- THE FLIES. I barely ate half my meal b/c the flies attacked my meal & cups the entire time!! I also had food on my utensils & had to wait for them to bring out another clean set (Yuck!!). So in all, I def won't be coming back.
Had some issues with a special order. Manager on duty approached us hostile and combative. He continued to be rude and disrespectful. We will not return.
The ambiance around the fountain is one of the best in intown Atlanta. Having the one pound shrimp boil as my main course is one of the best and most innovative dishes in the city. The quality and flavor is fantastic. I recommend Front Page News, the food, atmosphere, and value for the money are excellent.
I came here based on a recommendation and I wish I would have stayed away. Service was horrible, burger was bad, tater tots were hard. But I must admit, they have good spinach dip.
Worst experience I've had at an establishment to date. Everything from the staff, service and food was a terrible nightmare I never wish to remember again. It was supposed to be a nice Father's Day celebration but turned into an awful experience where Front Page News should have ended up on the Front Page News!
They do not honor reservations made on weekends. Also, the service and the food were not great. We won’t go back.
We went for the first time on Fathers Day. Nice setting on the patio with fans so we didn’t get too hot. They seated us a few minutes before 11AM (reservation time) which was great. Our server was nice and attentive. The food was pretty good although my husband didn’t really enjoy his wings. He did enjoy our appetizers and half of my shrimp Po boy! Next time, we will go after they stop serving brunch. Nothing was wrong with the brunch menu but we realized when we got there that we didn’t really want brunch.
Everything was great just could more food for the price but other then that it was good
Perhaps it was an off day in the kitchen, but it’s quite a stretch to compare the food we were served anything close to authentic Louisiana cuisine. The crawfish etoufee was anything but an etoufee. I strongly recommend sending your chef on a 1st time trip to New Orleans to sample great classic Louisiana cuisine. I am a chef and I’m from Baton Rouge. My wife an I are both LSU grads and we were having dinner with my father n law also from Baton Rouge. The food was quite disappointing especially since we had seen so many promotions on TV.
My husband and I are new to Atlanta and wanted to check out the Little 5 Points area. We are happy to have found this restaurant as my husband is originally from Louisiana. We both really enjoyed our meals and will definitely be back.
I went with a group of 16 people and they literally without asking put us all on one check!!! I have been with a group before and that didn't happen so it definitely ruined my birthday by causing immense stress and confusion! I used to enjoy going to this place but if you encounter an issue they make you email the owner Josh, meaning no one there can assist. The Manager’s name is Mike and he has the WORST attitude ever. By far the worst customer service I have ever received. I was on hold for 46 minutes when trying to retrieve my ticket numbers from Mike and it just overall was a terrible experience. That with unusually long food wait times leads me to believe I will NEVER return.
My wife and I had just left the Fernbank Museum nearby and needed to go to a sports bar specifically to watch the Kentucky Derby and to eat. Absolutely loved the place. Kenzi was our server and she was terrific. Will definitely be back for sure. Rick & Janet L.
The food was ok - overpriced for what it was, we thought - but the most frustrating thing was that after making an opentable reservation for brunch (which was the main reason we chose this place), we showed up and were told with some disdain that they didn't do reservations for brunch. Um - then why do you have opentable reservations? In a city with a lot of great brunch spots, this place isn't worth going to.
DID NOT ACCEPT RESERVATION DESPITE HAVING BOOKED ON LINE. HAD TRO WAIT MORE THA 30 MINUTES. DECIDED TO EAT AT BAR. FOOD VERY AVERAGE. WILL NOT GO THERE AGAIN
Doug is the best waiter of all time! Thank you for making us laugh while serving our very lively table!
Food was delicious
Food was good, atmosphere was nice, but the service was terrible.
I would recommend this place but don't even bother making a reservation. I made a reservation for Easter Sunday about a week in advance. Open table confirmed and it was in the books. I get to the restaurant and the two ladies in the front said that they are not accepting reservations today. But why was i able to make a reservation...? They could still seat us because it was not that busy just yet. I read other reviews saying that this happens all the time. Some people depend on reservations and it is just highly inconvenient. The food was great and the service was great. But i guess i would call and make a reservation if you really need one.
I’ve never had a bad meal or bad service.
The food was ok but for someone that doesn't eat seafood/New Orleans style food there wasn't much to choose from. I was there with a friend who was from New Orleans but he had a lot of choices. The service was great tho.
Fantastic! The bread pudding and Bloody Mary bar is all you need on a Sunday.
always a great meal here! sat outside on a beautiful Saturday afternoon! service is consistently good; and the menu has something for everyone!
Avery was our waiter. Excellent service. Food was excellent. I even asked for my salmon to be cooked a certain way. It was cooked to perfection. Parking was a breeze. Highly recommend.
Food was great! They seated us right away. Our server was ok but never circled back to refill our drinks. It was still a good meal and gave us a place to relax after spending the day at the Children’s Hospital.
Everything and everyone was absolutely wonderful. Thanks
Good food and service. Went to watch the super bowl and had a great time.
They had no record of our reservation. They did the best they could with our party of 7, but we had to sit on a cold, drafty covered patio instead of inside the restaurant. Communication between restaurants and Open Table needs some work.
The jambalaya was very good --except for the crawfish. Service was excellent.
Good meal, great drinks. Can’t wait to return!
Delightful time. Opening with a rich and well spiced gumbo and a plate of Andouille deviled eggs, we followed with grouper tenders (flash fried and still moist fish) with a side of mixed greens and a Cajun Cuban sandwich. The NOLA bread pudding was wonderful and it was topped with a creamy, luscious sugary sauce. Two of us couldn't finish it...it's amazing. Great food and fun atmosphere!
