A good location with nice views. The drinks and coffee were really good! Would recommended for a before show drink or a place on your bar hopping list for the night.
Drinks were awful and they’re slightly overpriced 👎🏻
Great place for drinks and socializing but the food wasn’t great.
We booked Frolik for Christmas Eve after a day of roaming around downtown. It happened to be one of the few places with reservations available. We weren’t sure what to expect. Well, the food was fabulous! We each had something different and ended up eating off of each other’s plates. The service was excellent as well. Thank you for making our Christmas Eve special.
Service was slow, Appetizer never came, 2 out of 3 orders were incorrect - overall disappointed for how slow the evening was for the restaurant.
Birthday. Ran out of appetizer we wanted by 6:15. Food was good but service was intermittent.
The kitchen was out of what should be staple dishes such as the burger and roasted chicken. Service was very slow, it took our table about and hour to get dinner. Manager was apologetic and gave us cocktails on the house. We were a large party, but expected better serve from an establishment in a major Seattle hotel district during the time of a large conference of educators for people of color, many of whom were lodged at the hotel. Our server was kind and also sympathetic to our poor experience.
It was Thanksgiving so I'll cut them some slack for being a bit disorganized. They ran out of some of the food, the response time was pretty slow. And it was pretty crowded. However, the wait staff was personable and friendly.
The special thanksgiving menu was delicious and well paired with the champagne, wine and desert liquor. Well done and highly recommended.
We went for Thanksgiving lunch, and it was perfect. Way too much food with family style appetizers and then the main course but all delicious. I would have been happy with just the salad and cheese ball- we took the leftovers to eat that night. Highly recommend!
The menu was very limited and overpriced.
The food was delicious but the drinks weren't good. I wouldn't come for cocktails again. Our waitress was great.
I couldn't be happier with the food but the service was amazing! Maybe the best I've ever had.
Frolik was great for a nice quite Monday night dinner! The view from the outside patio was beautiful and the inside seating was nice and open. We had Lola's Lumpia (made by a local woman) which was delicious and the Salmon was amazing too!
Decent drinks, standard fare. Perhaps the ambience is better when sitting out on the rooftop portion, but since it was cold and dark, we sat inside which generally had a feel of a Marriott Courtyard lobby: bright, sparse, loud TVs, just a big room with some tables.
Happy hour prices were ridiculously high ($18 for three small tacos?) - hate to think what the regular prices are! Plus, they add a 20% service fee (to cover the new Seattle minimum wage) and have the audacity to ask for a tip? Hell no! My bill for the three tacos, an iced tea and one cocktail during happy hour was over $40. They weren't that good to warrant that kind of money!
Food was fine, but not as flavorful as I expected.
When we arrived, there was a “Seat Yourself” and no host in sight. The outside patio was nice but the music was very loud, so we sat inside. We sat at a table, but we waited 15 minutes and no one even acknowledged us. There was one server in the room, and it wasn’t all that crowded. There were several tables that had not been bussed, and even our table had been cleared but not wiped. We left. I waited a few minutes at the host station to complain, but no one came. It was non-existent service.
I went to Frolik with a few friends on a Saturday evening and we sat outside. The place was clean and organized and had a nice ambiance. There was a DJ playing that evening and it was good music, but it was a bit loud if you wanted to chat with your tablemates, we had to talk very loudly to hear each other at times. The service was fantastic! The food and drinks were delicious!! Portion sizes were smaller than we anticipated (especially for the price) but it tasted great!
Overall, I'll go again and bring more friends!
Really nice patio, great drinks and great service!
This place has so much potential. Unfortunately, everything is overpriced, dated, and it was so loud, it was too difficult to hear each other speak.
If they had a more reasonably priced menu with more/better options and updated things, I can see this being a great place.
This restaurant doesn’t serve food between 10:30-11:30am.
We had made a reservation for 10:30am and informed of this issue a couple days before, but since it was a reservation for a wedding event, we ended up cancelling with most of our guests. FYI to others booking!
the cocktails were great. the food was bad and bland
We were there on a weekday to have drinks and catch with friends. We didn’t know that there would be live music but we didn’t mind when the stage was being set up. How bas could it be? Well.. it was really really not good and incredibly noisy. In the meantime our pasta was far from being al dente it was almost raw.
Service was quite slow, food came out quick but table visits were 1/10
Great dining experience. I was surprised by the 20% service charge. I was going to give my normal 20% tip but this caught me by surprise
Outdoor patio best part of experience. Food was bland and underwhelming.
While they are supposed to have a 15 min grace period on their reservations, that doesn’t mean you will be seated that quickly. There is a nice view and it was a wonderful warm day out on the patio. Food was ok, cocktail were nice however both were expensive. Especially since all you have view wise are buildings. This review is late in posting as we were there in August 2019.
We had a great dinner before our show. Would go back for a date night.
Nice and open patio area. The drinks and food were just ok meaning I wouldn’t intentionally come back for these items. Service was ok as well. Our waiter started off being attentive but after a few hours he disappeared. I actually had to leave my table to find him.
Service was horrible. Empty yet took a while to be seated. Took a while to get our order in. Food showed up before the drinks. Explains why they charge 20% gratuity automatically. Not worth it. Extra drink charged to bill that was not ordered. Waitress was nice but late with drinks that should have come first.
Frolik was fantastic! From the eclectic food, tacos, artichoke dip and lumpia. The rooftop buzzing atmosphere was super fun!
love the ambiance! but all servers were aloof and distant, like they didn’t want to be bothered. yet the restaurant was completely empty!
I brought my friend her for a quick girl’s night. Food is amazing! Drinks are delish but pricey. Order the chicken sandwich. It is oh so yummy! We sat in a very “loungey” and comfy space near the fireplace on the rooftop and enjoyed the view of downtown. Sunday night had a very small crowd of people, which was perfect for us.
Overpriced for the very small VIP section for Seattle Pride brunch. $26 drinks billed as “made for two”. Endless Absolut rainbow marketing. Room for about 10 people to view the parade at a time as long as people are generous enough to move. Not worth $108 per ticket.
Location is Very difficult to find. Once we finally did find the restaurant, we got off of the elevator and were again confused, as there was no staff to greet us and no signs telling us how to be seated. We walked into the restaurant, and approached the bar tender to inquire as to whom we check in with for our reservation. The bartender didn’t know, so he grabbed a server. This server told us to grab a table outside if we’d like, and she’ll ask her manager who we should check in with. They have a very cool outdoor rooftop patio but some very bleak tables with no umbrellas for sun protection. We decided to sit inside. Again, no one knew where to seat us. Manager looked annoyed. We finally got seated and our server was very attentive and warm, although busy waiting on every other table. We ordered cocktails which were sub-par and too expensive for what you receive. The food options are limited and again, sub-par in taste. The pasta dish I ordered was bland and the chicken was mediocre in quality. We would not recommend this place and will not go back again.
I went to Frolik two days ago for a friends 30th birthday celebration. My reservation was for 8pm which i had made over a week in advance with the note that this was for my friends birthday. The entire two hours we were there the restaurant had about two other tables occupied - it was dead in there. The waiter was nice, but the service was horrible.
When we arrived we ordered our drinks and meals right off with the intention of going out to the rooftop bar portion of the establishment. We received our drinks about 10 mins later (keep in mind it was dead in there). After that, our waiter disappeared and didn't show up until over an hour later saying our meals should be ready in about 10 mins...and then took our second drink order. This might not seem like a big deal, but we sat for over an hour waiting to be served and were completely ignored by all staff.
This is absolutely ridiculous considering there was no busy atmosphere to tend to.
We ended up asking for our bill right we our food arrived for fear that the waiter would vanish again. Thankfully for them they add on a 20% service fee onto the bill so their tips weren't affected by their lack of service. Clever. I would never come here again. Absolutely ridiculous level of service and completely ruined the birthday celebration.
Excellent location with plenty of tables and fun things to do. Pretty mediocre food for lunch - overpriced, fattening, unable to make substitutions, and limited. Probably would only go there for drinks in the future.
Our server was polite and friendly, but he kept us waiting too long.
Frustrating experience. Went with 5 friends for cocktails and dinner before a show. Made a reservation via OpenTable (which was confirmed via email), but when we arrived there was no table reserved for us and it was a "please seat yourself" situation. We had to wait outside for over half an hour before getting a table, and I'm not sure it would have happened without me reminding them that we were waiting. Cocktails were nice, but overpriced for the venue. We had to close our tab and pay for our drinks outside before we got seated inside and there was an error on one of the bills. Later, paying for our meals, there was a lot of confusion and wait to get those bills as well.
Two good things about this place: Razz, who ended up serving our table, was excellent! I believe he was working as a host or manager, but he made sure that we had our orders taken, drinks brought and checked in on us -- we barely saw our waitress. The food was also notably delicious and fairly priced. I had the Shaved Asparagus Salad and it was excellent.
