So I took my boyfriend here for dinner on 12/09/18. We ordered some tostadas they were miniature size were way too salty and cost $16, we both ordered the 6oz burgers both asked for well done with no pink they both had pink my boyfriend didn't even finish his burger. With drinks and 20% gratuity they added themselves our total was $105.00 this dinner was worth $50 at the most. I wouldn't recommend anyone to come here to celebrate anything that is important to them!
We walked in and immediately get disoriented just trying to find a place to sit. Overall welcoming feel was very lacking. Once we found a place to sit (we had to seat ourselves) found a six top table - there we no tables for two. Once we sat our server came right over and was friendly. This was probably the best part of our visit. Drinks were ordered. We noticed a couch that sat 4 opened up so we moved. The couch cushions were terrible and dirty. We practically fell into the couch thank goodness for the extra dirty pillows which we used to sit on. I have the gluten allergy and worked with the server on my options which weren’t many - no gf options from the happy hour menu so I had to wait until 6pm for the dinner menu. I ordered the rock fish and when it finally came it had the overly fishy smell that was immediately smelled when it was delivered. I took one bite and moved it to the end of the table where it sat for almost 20 minutes. Finally I get up because I am hungry and ready to leave. I discover that the manager had walked by our table at least 5 times and said nothing- just more frustrations on my side. We paid for dinner minus the rock fish plate and won’t be back.
Nice hotel and nice patio if they let you on it but the food continues to disappoint.
They did not set up the dance floor even though it was a Friday night. They said it was because an earlier event had left. The place barely had anyone in there and they ended up closing around 10:30 PM on a Friday night!
The rock fish was excellent, as were the brussel sprouts. The squash and burrata were meh, the flavors just didn't mix, so disappointing. 3 lovely cocktails, would definitely drink here again. The staff was great, especially given the large crowd (a conference was having drinks there at the same time.) The s'mores dessert was presented with warm, but useless, charcoal; fortunately they'd kitchen torched the marshmallows before arrival. It was a great idea but a disappointing execution. I wouldn't return for food, especially at their prices. The millionaires drinks menu is worth a chuckle or amaybe VERY special occasion (a single drink topped out at $425).
Fun place to enjoy a drink and either a meal or small bites. Recommended before theater, the 5th Avenue is very close by.
Food was good but nothing that can be described as healthy if you are on special diet not the place to come
I made a reservation and when I got there no one knew anything about it. I had to seat myself in the bar and it up eating my meal at some crappy space it had about enough room to set my plate on it. I was very disappointed.
No one to seat us. The server was great but the ambience was lacking. There was seating outside in a tent but it smelled bad in there! Not impressed.
Several items on menu not available. Was told they didn't have a blender, but there were 3 (in use) on the bar top. Very burned coffee that was probably sitting for hours. Overpriced for the mediocre quality, but the servers were very friendly.
Met with friends for brunch; the menu was a decent size and the drinks were good. A little pricey but pretty standard for a hotel bar with a rooftop view. Overall, the experience was good and would go again.
I went to Frolik for the first time with a friend visiting from New York and we were super excited to go to a rooftop bar. When we walked into the restaurant, two ladies told us to just go to the bar if we wanted anything. We found an empty table with 2 menus on the table and we waited for a server. 3-4 different servers/server assistants just walked by our table but didn't acknowledge us. Two more tables were seated and they were greeted with water. I had to walk inside to find a server and waited another 10 mins before someone came out. Our drinks were ordered and came out pretty quickly but our server disappeared again. I was frustrated at this point, so we wanted to leave but I didn't want to just walk out which I should have done. We had to track down our server again to get the check and he had enough time to circle the portion on the check where every check has 20% gratuity added. It was a horrible experience and there was no care for myself or my guest. I will not recommend this restaurant unless people love horrible service.
Loved the atmosphere such a beautiful modern restaurant!
I have had food that was far better for far cheaper. My girlfriends burger was charred/burnt and overcooked. My tacos were good but not worth the price. They are $1 street tacos not 17 dollars. We spent around 50$ and didnt have alcohol, for somewhat mediocre food.
The coolest part is the fire pit outside but a large group was hanging out around it, who all seemed to know each other, so we did not get to enjoy or take photos.
The photos on Google make it look a lot nicer than it actually was.
The waitress was pretty good though.
If I go back to seattle I won't go there again. Nothing personal, but.. chilis is better for less. So were every other of the 14 restaurants I ate at.
Service was horrible. We were not acknowledged so got up and left.
Outdoor is super nice, great ambiance. Food menu is limited ...some courses « can’t » be served outside - I am still trying to understand why ! 😆 one salad but not the other one. Food was good we shared 5 plates
A couple waiters were not friendly or helpful. They didn’t introduce themselves and acted like my party was a bother
We sat on the patio, and while the weather was crazy hot, there was a nice breeze and the view was amazing. Our server was very attentive and let us know she was going on a 15 minute break which was so nice! I found the food to be a little overpriced for what it was, though.
Sat on patio on a beautiful day. Not many guests, but service initially very slow and inattentive (table not wiped down, no water or menus), but picked up once waitress finally came by. Mandatory 20% tip — maybe why service initially poor?
Went for brunch with my boyfriend, the server was fantastic. She was prompt to refill bottomless mimosas and water, but let us enjoy our time there. Open seating, great view. Only complaint was food was just "OK" but the price matched so it didn't feel like we wasted $
The food was mediocre but I heard they are good for brunch. We came a little too early perhaphs but it was slower which was good for the patio and games. They didn't get our drinks right and didn't know their alcohol selection. Otherwise I would rate this first experience closer to 3 stars. I would recommend checking it out on the weekend.
Very disappointing. I made a reservation for my boyfriends birthday. My only special request in the reservation was to sit outside and when we arrived they told me it was a first come basis and it was full.. then our waitress never filled our drinks and forgot to bring us plates for our appetizers or silverware to eat our food. Our waitress never came back to check on us and this was suppose to be a special birthday dinner and drinks.
The waitress was very rude. When we asked for the check, she threw it at us and walked away. She made our experience awful. I won't be going back here.
We had planned a date night based on the pictures online. However once we arrived we walked into what I can only describe as a college party. I asked the server what was going on and she told us it was a guest dj and he had brought friends with him.
We proceeded to walk out and find somewhere else.
No umbrellas on the balcony - baking hot. Don’t accept reservations on the balcony. Loud music, rude hostess.
Like many of the downtown restaurants, the breakfast was expensive but the location convenient. The service was fair. But the potatoes in the breakfast bowl were a salt bomb - so salty, I didn't taste anything else. There are much better places.
Stopped serving lunch and had to order appetizers which were overpriced and just okay. You pay for being on the roof, for sure.
We took my mom to Frolik for Mother's Day because we knew there would be a stunning view on a gorgeous day. Everything was fantastic on the patio! The only thing I would recommend is that the patio has some umbrellas or something, because we seriously got sunburned from being out there for 2+ hours. Also, offering more vegan options would be really helpful!
Server was great. Food was OK but overpriced. However, don't think that this is a nice bar/restaurant. The ambiance is terrible. Maybe they focus on the patio? But in a city that is overcast and cloudy 75% of the year you can't fall back on that. The inside is like they threw together whatever furniture they had. Convention center chairs, poor use of space... Just feels thrown together.
Pretty disappointing actually. Had 5:15 reservations for post-theatre dinner... it's open seating... as in, seat yourself. Plus, they don't serve the main menu until 6PM. Well, that would have been nice to know, we were hungry! Only serve happy hour bites. Server was very pleasant and attentive. Food was okay.. nothing to write home about (we had happy hour items since we weren't willing to wait another hour order dinner items).
Seems like a great place for cocktails or happy hour on a nice day (outdoor patio), but not for dinner. Inside feels more like a glorified hotel lobby with the totally open floor, steel chairs, and close tables.
We'd go back for cocktails if meeting others, but not on our own or for food.... there's lots more in the Seattle area... but, if you DO go here, go on a nice summer day (we have 12-13 here a year), and enjoy the patio! Probably the saving grace for Frolik.
If you're traveling and staying in the hotel, then the marks go up for this place for variety and convenience for a hotel stayer, but know there are dozens of better places a short walk away.
Underwhelming comes to mind when thinking of my visit to Frolik. We wanted to sit on the terrace but could not reserve a table there, it was full and thus had to sit inside. Inside the space is huge and very sparsely setup with too few tables in a disjointed manner in a too totally out of scale with the decor. So ambience inside is awful. We ordered four appetizers and one was good, one ok, and other two disappointing. We'd planned to eat dinner but decided against it and left after our appetizers.
Easter brunch was delightful. They had an egg hunt with some special eggs with prize vouchers inside (small box with alcohol minis and chocolates). Great experience! Food was also absolutely delicious.
Unfortunately the only good quality of this place was it's location and proximity to the theater. The service staff was great..but the rest of the experience was sub par. Food was turned back. Ambiance was very basic. It was also very cold in temperature. I am sorry to say I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The restaurant was freezing! It was the weirdest thing. The server had a leather jacket on and most guests had jackets on as well.
The photos make the environment look way cooler than it is. The blue wall is small and the lighting is bright. The environment is fine, it's just pretty basic.
I looked it up online and I didn't see that they had a limited menu for Christmas. Was kind of disappointed by the options.
Our server was exceptional. Open Table gave us a reservation for 11am--when we got there they said the kitchen closed at 11am, and that they didn't serve lunch. The server was gracious enough to hold the kitchen open for us to order off the brunch menu. The food was great and our server continued to provide excellent service until we left. I was impressed! Thank you.

Outdoor section the heaters were damaged. Took awhile for someone to come over to our table. Food was just okay.
Given the high overall quality of the hotel (Motif), the restaurant was a disappointment. The hamburger was almost inedible and since the patty was small and thin, they'd only prepare it medium well -- which didn't help. A chicken pasta dish was tasty in a kind of Olive Garden way -- salt and cheese. Service was friendly and attentive, decor was a little bit like a bar in a TV show. We didn't try drinks so can't evaluate the bar service.
