   Casual waterfront restaurant. Sitting outside is a must for the best ambiance. I loves the salad I had, I added chicken and it was a big meal. Sweet potato fries were excellent too. They have a great drink menu in case u r just going to drink and enjoy the view. You can pull up to the socks on your boat! Our server George was really attentive and friendly.

   This is an amazingly tropical setting (on a major roadway) and it is relaxing and enjoyable every time we visit. We love the dolphin Reuben. They have a great 2-for-1 happy hour until 6:30! The owners have turned this into something spectacular!

   Stick with the basics here and you'll never go wrong! Wonderful outdoor dining on the water. Super service. Main course fish was overpowered by too much sauce but the fish tacos are amazing!!!! Great lunch/brunch spot! We will be back many times!!!!

   the food was delicious. everybody was very friendly. the waiter was great .there was only 1 busboy for the entire restaurant. the waiter was busy with so many table we knew that our entrees were coming soon, so we put appetizer dishes over on the bar counter to have room on our table.

   This restaurant has a nice location alongside a canal. The food was good, also.......nothing to really rave about, but good.

   Food was outstanding. Fish tacos among the best we've ever had. Macadamia-crusted yellowtail snapper fresh and plentiful. We sat outside to enjoy the view but unfortunately, smoking is still allowed and there were 2 smokers seated right beside us. The bar area was not far from our dining table so perhaps management should consider restricting smoking to the bar area. We all commented that the food was a "10" but the smoking brought it down to a "6". Hard to enjoy good food when all you smell is cigarette smoke.

   The food and the service was okay. The view was nice. The drinks were poor. Very watered down.

   This wasn't our first time dining at Frigate's, however, it was our worst experience. We made a reservation and still had to wait 40 minutes for a table and when we finally got out table it was another hour before our food was ready and served. I was very disappointed.

    Visited in Feb. for an outdoor dinner. Outdoor area is on a canal, large tiki sort of bar was hopping at 5 pm. We enjoyed sitting outside while it was still light and enjoying a drink. Several boats went by in the canal, lively atmosphere at the bar, it was fun. At dinner, things went downhill. Stayed outdoors for dinner, several of the heat lamps stopped working. The manager had to keep coming by to relight/adjust the one near us (he was trying to be helpful, but it was annoying as we had to keep getting up). It was not well lit, hard to see/eat the food. My daughter's chicken fingers from the kids menu were fine. My husband and I had fish dishes, they were ok, seemed fresh but nothing out of the ordinary. Pricey for the quality.
