Excellent service, delicious menu and beautiful space! Thank you for a wonderful meal!
Such a wonderful evening! The food and drinks were outstanding and the service was excellent!!
Nicest waitress and amazing chicken
This restaurant is more impressed with itself than we were impressed with it. Way over priced with a funky menu. Won't return.
Every bite was delicious, service was spectacular, drinks were masterfully crafted. 10/10 would recommend.
I can't say enough good things about Friday Saturday Sunday. Their attention to detail, observant waitstaff, and incredible food makes this place a must-dine! Absolutely perfect experience - pricey, but 100% worth it.
Server Meghan was knowledgeable, sweet and attentive! Gave great cocktail recommendations. Food was incredible as well.
Outstanding food and atmosphere. Our waiter was more concerned about another table (where he knew the male diner, and wanted to help him impress his date) than about us, however. Excellent sommelier, who made up for the unavailable wine we had selected. First rate food in every respect.
This meal was simply fantastic. We were very well advised by a charming, delightful waiter, who gave us helpful information about how much to order and what he liked best. The ambiance is lovely: it's a very small restaurant but it doesn't feel at all cramped, and the noise level was never a problem, though I was there with a person who is slightly hard of hearing. The food was *exquisite*: we adored each and every course. The portions are a good size to allow you to sample several. This is my new favorite Philadelphia restaurant -- and, as any Philly diner knows, that's a high bar, as the city is full of so many great ones! One word of warning to people with mobility issues: you do have to climb a staircase to get to the main dining area, but my fellow diner, who is 90, was able to do it without difficulty.
Our expectations were very high for our first cocktails and meal at the "new" Fri Sat Sun. We reserved for a Sunday evening at 7:45; Paul MacDonald was at the bar with a talented crew. Our party of four mounted the stairs to the beautifully redesigned dining room. Every single thing we tasted - on-menu and off-menu cocktails, wine, each small plate, each large plate, and each dessert - exceeded our high expectations. Service was professional, polite, and not intrusive. Without pretension, the sophistication and subtlety of flavor combinations was remarkable. For example, I asked the bar for a dealer's choice - invent a gin cocktail to pair with the the raw oysters with a frozen (granita-style) Meyer lemon mignonette. The crunchy texture of the frozen mignonette on the oysters was a masterful complement to the perfect flavor combination, and Paul not minimalist, not large enough that one leaves over-full. This meal was as good as any I've had in 32 years in Philadelphia, and several multi-Michelin-star restaurants in London. Highly recommended.
Terrific meal. Best in a long time. Very memorable. Outstanding overall. Bravo!
The ambience was excellent and up to par. Absolutely amazing food, every bite was a savoring experience within itself. Each ingredient more indulgent than the next. The momentum of every beautifully plated plater of artful masterpieces served and crafted to perfection.
We selected 5 plates to share, which was a perfect amount and allowed room for us to share dessert. We had oysters, egg & caviar, beet pyramids, pasta with pork sausage and collard greens. Everything was our favorite! And the panna cotta dessert completed the meal. We cannot wait to return
Friday Saturday Sunday continues to be our favorite restaurant in Philadelphia. Everything, from drinks to appetizers to deserts was special and great
In a city with an abundance of great restaurants, this stands out as one of the best. Great food, attentive and informed wait staff, and exceptional cocktails.
We had a pleasant evening but nothing to write home about. Everything good. Nothing outstanding.
We tried the mussel toast. A sizeable portion of minced mussels spread on lightest toasted bread. The liver mousse was quite good my husband said. But he didn’t rave. Of all our choices I partularly liked the lobster large plate. Perfectly prepared. Others have raved about the chicken. Well seasoned but the squash which accompanied it was little more than a garnish. Perhaps all would have been more enjoyable if it were not for the service which was almost robotic. When we arrived and asked if we might be moved to another empty table, the woman who seated us was clearly annoyed to the point where I asked if we were troubling her. We told our waitress that this restaurant was where we had our first date 20 years ago. How nice she said and moved on. I can’t say we felt rushed but everything moved with such dexterity and lack of engagement, it did not feel like a place to linger. A well oiled machine is how I would describe it and perhaps this affected the pleasure we took from the food. It is unlikely we will return.
One of the best meals I've ever had. Everything we ordered was delicious. The sweetbread katsu was incredible and the roast chicken was probably the best I've ever had. Not to mention the mussel toast and beet pyramids, which were both amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant.
One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had!
Best meal in Philadelphia we have ever had! We will definitely be back!
The tables are very close to one another which doesn’t give you as much privacy as you may want but it also creates an atmosphere where you can enjoy a delicious meal with different people that you can interact with. Overall 5/5. Highly recommend
The food was delicious! Everything we ordered from starters to dessert was a tasty winner. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is excellent.
Perfect little neighborhood restaurant that punches above its weight; will come back for sure.
Fantastic meal and service. One of the top 3 restaurants in the city. Always superb!
unique small plates... great vibe! look forward to our next visit.
It was wonderful food was great. Waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful. Would love to come back.
I'm a huge foodie and a good cook. I am easily disappointed when I go out to eat. Let me say that this restaurant is a true exception. If you love excellent food that's inventive and not your mainstream fare you're going to love Friday, Saturday, Sunday. We have eaten all over the world and I'm going to go so far to say, I might've just had the best steak of my life. My husband felt that way about his halibut. We just got back from Seattle and had fresh caught halibut there so that's saying something! Chicken liver pate was over the top delicious! We had the Pear dessert. I'm telling you.... everything was sublime!!!
We had the same waiter we had at our last visit and everything was fun and superb!!!
It was one of best meals I’ve had in Philadelphia. Fun drinks, delicious food and perfect service. Every course was filled with delightful surprises. Best of all, it is quiet enough to have a conversation with your companions.
Pastas were amazing so was the chicken and octopus and the service was great.
very cozy atmosphere. Food was delicious and different. Steak was awesome! unique cocktails
Absolutely blown away! This is a world-class offering. Food was among the best I've ever had. Inventive, creative, and absolutely delicious. Server was incredibly knowledgeable, professional and helpful in advising us how best to experience the menu. Truly a special place and couldn't recommend any more highly!
Unparalleled food, service was excellent and great ambiance.
Portions are small and it was very loud. Food was good though.
Amazing food and service. Fantastic experience. Will be going back
Outstanding. The food and service the very highest quality
We Enjoyed dinner to the point that i wanted another plate. i ordered chicken which i never do but i was so glad i did. The confit artichokes was AMAZING and so was the pear dessert. We thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance and the music. SO glad we went
Eating at Friday Saturday Sunday is a luxurious experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting like a friend's small dining room. Not pretentious or stuffy....it is welcoming.
Service is wonderful. Professional and efficient.
The food is outstanding . My dinner partner loved her artichoke appetizer which was roasted and had a deep smoky taste. The sauce for dipping was a cool, creamy accompaniment.
The roast chicken is extraordinary! The skin crispy, the meat juicy and beautifully fresh, moist, and tasty! I have never made chicken this good!
My steak was done perfectly rare as requested. Seared on the outside. Great broiled flavor it came with garlic roasted potatoes.
A brownie with Blondie crmble and vanilla ice cream was the perfect finishing touch for dessert.
Megan was wonderful. Answered my questions about a couple different entrees, helped me choose the perfect dinner selection. She even put a candle on our dessert that my husband and I shared for our anniversary!!
