Frida Mexican Cuisine - Torrance
Friday & Saturday, 11am-11pm
The service was great. Everyone there was so helpful and friendly.
Server was great was answering all our questions regarding the food and drinks. He was awesome
Front desk staff needs to be a big more professional, they seemed annoyed and irritated to be at work. The server was great. Drinks and food came out in a timely manner.
Great food and great service
I ordered the Prawns cooked to perfection and sauce that was magical. Home made tortillas were the best. Everyone else in my party had same review. We will be back and glad to know they have Sunday brunch.
A bit noisy but presentation of the food and taste was excellent!
We enjoyed sitting in the patio and our server was very attentive
We always love eating at Frida’s. The menu is amazing; so many choices. Smells good everywhere! Love the appetizers, too.
The food crosses over from being Cal-Mex to authentically Mexican. The green salsa that came with the chips tasted fresh not from a can. The red sauce was ok. I ordered the carnitas plate. The corn tortillas were much better than supermarket tortillas but not in the "best" category. Spanish rice was better than average. The refried beans and carnitas was very good as was the guacamole. Everything needed a little extra salt but that is ok. The horchata rice drink was also 4/5 stars. A bit more expensive than El Torito but worth it for the food alone. Better aesthetics of the restaurant are a bonus .
My father had the salmon a la diabla, He said it was very good and ate all of it. My dad is a tough critic when it comes to value as his favorite restaurant is Norm's but he said he would like to come back too. He accidently flipped and spilled his entire soda. The crew cleaned it up as quickly as you would expect in a five star restaurant. All told I will visit again.
The restaurant is very nice , but the food is over price , and no that good , depend on what you order the portion are small and the price big , on the mix fajitas of meat and shrimp that cost $ 31.00 dollars , you only get tree shrimp , four small pieces of meat , the rest is all onions , peppers and tomato's , we eat in a lots of restaurant but this is the one , that we are not coming back again .
If you want to eat great Mexican food go to Pancho's in Manhattan Beach and compare
Entree food was delicious as always. Confusing as to who our waiter was.... at least 6 different people came to our table, also guy never brought my lemons for my water.
I really like the Sunday brunch especially when you waitress is awesome
Great ambiance, service was good but honestly many of my guests felt the food was bland, not worth the price. I was disappointed
Had a reservation through open table. When we were seated we were placed at a corner table with heavy traffic. We looked around and saw a minimum of three booths open and asked to be seated at one of those. The hostess proceeded to say they were reserved. We told her we had a reservation as well and she said there was nothing she could do. We later asked for the manager who came and also stated that we should have clarified greater on open table that we require a booth. And she left. More than 40 min later one booth was filled. When we left, two of the booths had not been filled! Total lack or respect to us! Their comments were rude and they did nothing to better our experience! Not rushing to go back!
Everything was amazong
We had drinks a the bar before our dinner and the bartenders were very nice and the drinks were outstanding. The food was delicious and service was great. I will be returning.
Great food, friendly staff, great vibe
Went for valentines days and it was BEAUTIFUL! The ceiling was filed with heart balloons and the food was AMAZING
Everything was smooth, REALLY ENJOYED IT
MY WOMEN LOVED IT ASWELL!! My experience was lovely success night 🙏🏽
The bar is great. Great service, friendly bartenders and great margaritas. Food-wise the fajitas need some work. Although they were prepared well there really wasn't much flavor there. Our service was very spotty.
Food & drinks were delicious. Loved how the waiter would check on us to see if we needed anything frequently. I got the trio enchiladas which included 3 sauces green, red & poblano. The poblano was my favorite! My boyfriend got the molcajete and he said it was really good. As for dessert we got CREPAS CON CAJETA and it was just perfect. Definitely would be coming back!! 😊
Maybe I would recommend with lots of caveats! Very loud ... why oh why must relatively new restaurants, built new, not take into consideration the noise level. I hate yelling at my meal mates, and this place requires you to do even when it was a relatively quiet Thursday night. Server, though kept saying he doesn't like to rush his meals, kept rushing us. Food came out almost instantly; he kept asking and asking if we wanted to place our order; we were still eating dinner and he was bugging us about dessert ... yea, not pleasant. The food is good, but the value is disappointing, feel like I'm helping Frida pay for its rent in this huge restaurant instead of giving value for the price I'm paying for Mexican food! So many other places to eat, probably won't be back.
Loved the food. Delicious. Noise level high.
We had a solid dinner experience here. The restaurant is very nicely decorated. It's a very large space, has an outdoor heated patio, and plenty of TVs in the bar area if you're coming to watch a game. Lots of booths and table seating.
My favorite things that I had were the warm chips and salsa and the sangria. Yum! I got the combination plate which has a taco, tamale, and enchilada on it. It was okay but I wasn't wowed.
Be aware that the note on the menu not to make substitutions or special requests when you place your order, which I thought was very odd.
Great service, great food, always a great time with friends at Frida's!
I was disappointed as I had put in the reservation notes that it was a birthday and our server never acknowledged it. I have been there before and I know they do something for birthdays. So it was a bit disappointing.
we had a great time. thank you. we will definitely be back. great spread, food was great. keep it up.
The experience was great. My party was late however the restaurant was gracious enough to hold the table. It was the first time my party had come to the restaurant. From the host to to waiter, the evening was great
They were rude , brought the wrong food didn’t wanna fix it , took along time
I prefer this place for drinks only
Good food and a very nice place. I enjoyed my chorizo and eggs while watching soccer. My gf enjoyed her huevos rancheros as well. Guacamole was amazing! Highly recommend.
amazing place, definitely one of my favorite restaurants
I am not a typical reviewer. I only leave reviews if my experience was really good or pretty bad; this one was pretty bad.
Definitely fell far below my expectations. The food was extremely bland. The margaritas tasted like syrup. I will not be back.
Recieved to drinking glasses that had lipstick on the rim. Asked the waitress for new glasses.
Thank you for an amazing way to celebrate my 21st!!
Food was great, Fernando our server was awesome, mariachi was great...all in all it was a good time
I had the shrimp in a tequila orange sauce thing. It was pretty good, not Mt faveritr dish ever for the price but it was good. I had a watermelon margarita which was also good but nothing blew my mind. The Cafe de Olla and Tres Leches cake were my favorite items of the meal. The cafe de olla was delicious!
The staff was very friendly and attentive. I always receive such great service every time I am there. The food is fantastic!
Fun to place to go for Brunch. Mariachi and Food was very good.
