I took some out of town guests to Frida in Westwood before we went to the Geffen Playhouse. I have never been treated so rudely by our waitress. They asked for queso and she looked at us like I was crazy and then threw some thing at us we said it wasn’t correct and she said she would take it away but we have to pay for it. We spoke to the manager who was nice enough to correct the situation but we were treated extremely rudely by the waitress. Overall I would never come back to this restaurant again. I do go to the one in Beverly Hills which has never been a problem and I will continue to go only to Beverly Hills.
Very nice indoors just way to loud!!
Food was great and so was service
Outstanding sauces, especially mole sauce. Good service, did not rush us
Servers went above & beyond to make sure my table of 7 had a great experience. The food & drinks are amazing! Great menu selection. I will definitely be back!!
We enjoyed a really good dinner on Saturday night. We went early (6PM) b/c we had a show after. I was surprised that it wasn't very crowded, maybe it picks up later in the eve. Our server Luis was great, attentive but not annoying. Food was delish. My husband had the enchilada suizas and I had tacos (pork, but not carnitas, forget the specific name) at the recommendation of Luis - both were fantastic. We had a couple margaritas too, and some guac to start. Overall good experience!
Frida's served my purpose as a central location for our group coming from different parts of SoCal to meet. Service was friendly. Food was OK. . just OK. Food and drink were average/unremarkable and I felt, overpriced for the quality served. On the positive side, the place was empty, even at lunch time on a Sunday. So it was a good environment for our gathering. I will add that upon leaving, we were shocked to see the "B" grade from the board of health displayed in their window.
Sat outside. Very friendly service but not obtrusive. Food fresh and delicious
The waiter was very kind and attentive. However, we let them know about our Cilantro sensitivity and every dish they brought had cilantro. We felt bad but informed our waiter and immediately told us they would make us a fresh dish. However, the repeat entre again had cilantro. The food was also cold at the time of service. I will say their cocktails were very good so that is a bonus.
We’ve been here several times and both the food and service are incredible. I’m pretty sure that my husband would pay to get his hands on their bean recipe!
This restaurant was a disappointment. Food was mediocre.. margaritas during happy hour were mostly Ice. Oh and they charge $3.95 for salsa LOL. Would NOT recommend (no chips and salsa while you wait for food)
Wonderful food so fresh with so much flavor! Highly recommend.
Great food, outdoor setting and service!
Mayra was amazing and took care of our large group. It was a great night out for my team meeting and we will be coming back for sure.
This is some of the worst Mexican Tex/mex food i have ever eaten at totally inflated prices. Do not go to this restaurant.
We had a reservation for 8 PM, for outdoors. Arrive on time and they state they don’t follow opentable guidelines to sit outdoors. Mention they are setting up table on side outside patio, reassure us every few minutes it will be ready. By 8:15 the host says the side patio closed and he will have us seated out front as a table is paying a check. That table went on to receive a birthday dessert and sat an additional 30 minutes. At which point we further complain to host and all he says is I can’t do anything. Completely incompetent. At which point they set up two tables on sidewalk which we had originally asked for, yet they said due to city guidelines they weren’t allowed to. They did it and we sat at 8:45. Terrible hosting and managing skills. Food however was good, but will not be going back.
Discovered Frida’s while perusing the Internet for restaurants while staying at the UCLA Tiverton House.
Although it was a pretty evening and it was walking distance to the location, made the mistake of eating inside instead of outside.
With a nearly empty restaurant a family of four was seated directly next to us and their table was practically touching ours.
Needless to say, we were happy with the delicious entrees.
There was a crying baby next to us which was annoying.
Platos sucios, no es lo que esperábamos. Pero para salir del paso esta bien.
The food and service were great! The only thing that made this 4 stars and not 5 stars is that the umbrellas in the outdoor patio space were not very effective and it was difficult to get both seats in some shade.
Excellent Father’s Day dinner.
We thought there was Sunday buffet like other locations and there wasnt...so we're little disappointed to find that out. Food was good but just expected to be the same.
Meh! (That’s my review but the reviews program insists on more verbiage.)
The food wasn’t that good. The flavor was pretty bland all around. Not at all authentic. The salmon was way over cooked. I’ve been to the one in Glendale, but this didn’t taste the same. I probably won’t be back.
Service was a bit slow but the food was really good. The portions weee huge though!
Overpriced and quite ordinary food. Chicken in the mole was overcooked and tough. Better way to spend your money: go to a local taco truck.
Empty and service was slow.
Chips tasted stale. Food was blah.
I dine periodically at the Glendale location and no comparison. I had to take a double take to confirm I was at the right restaurant company. Good
The service was outstanding and the food really good.
The fajitas was tasty. We ordered a mojito and blood Mary which were very good.
Our waitress was super nice. The only thing I must say is that our food took a long time to come and the restaurant was not that busy.
Overall a good experience.
The food here is not good. Extremely salty. Not made with love. Expensive. Avoid.
Awesome service ! Awesome food - nice atmosphere 😊
We had a wonderful experience at Frida! They were able to accommodate our group of 14 and provided outstanding service. They went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied and has everything we needed, and the staff provided quick and friendly service. Very happy with out experience.
Great service, great food. Awesome for after work meet up
Service was lacking, had to ask for things multiple times and sent back burnt queso dish
Go there/ it’s excellent
Great food and great margaritas ! Loved the al pastor tacos
Everything was ok, but crowded and noisy on the side patio.
Five televisions in two relatively small dining rooms. Initially the music was on at a comfortable level, but mid way thru they turned it up. Food was yummy and service excellent, but will not return.
Brought my mom here for Mother’s Day. Delicious food great customer service and very nice ambience. She loved everything. Thank you for making her experience here so special. We will be returning to this location because the customer service was so exceptional.
The service was so friendly! It is a hard time to be in service and everyone was very gracious. The guacamole was hands down the best I’ve had (and I’ve eaten a lot of guacamole!)
