   UTTERLY FANTASTIC. By far, one of my best dining experiences in recent memory. I would highly recommend anybody go here if you enjoy innovative, creative, and amazingly tasty food. I sat at the chefs counter, which was fantastic watching everything happen and every dish that was served to me in the chef’s experience was amazing. This is now one of my favorite restaurants anywhere in the world.  the service was impeccable, and the drinks were fantastic too.  there were so many amazing dishes.  the single muscle with the incredible sauce and the steak tartare were standouts.  but literally every morsel of food was just so tasty. I will go to this restaurant every time I’m in Melbourne.

   We had a wonderful dining experience at Freya. The food was outstanding, it was original, beautifully balanced and tasted superb. It was hard to pick a favourite dish! They were all perfectly cooked and were wonderfully presented. The waitress (Paula) was well informed on the menu, helpful, friendly but also professional, she was attentive but not intrusive. We had the 'classy pairing' option of alcohol with our meals and the sommelier (Herb) did an outstanding job. Like our food the pairings were perfect. For me, this was the total dining experience, the staff, the food and the ambience were first class. This is a restaurant we will return to and I can highly recommend.

   We had such a great experience dining at the bench in front of the Chefs. The chef s selection for our courses were great and we loved each course. Was great seeing just how professional and hard working the chefs in the kitchen were.

   I had the tasting menu with the standard wine pairing consisting of Australian wine. It was interesting to start the course with waffles and a fresh oyster, and the pate with berries went really well with the waffles. The sourdough bread side was well made and came with the salad and mussels. The protein was a plate of pork and another plate of venison sausages. Pork was a bit chewy but tasty. The venison sauce was beautiful. The dessert was a delight. The wines were well paired and certainly enhanced the dining experience.

   Wait staff were excellent. Ambiance was lovely. Food was an experience that I will likely not do again. Felt like the Chef was trying to put on a show with an eclectic and not very complimentary styled and flavors of food. - I would like to think my palette is well-versed. Our meal was a disappointment. Why would you smoke ice cream?

   The food was outstanding, there so much thought put into ensuring every element harmonised on a plate. And yes, it’s a surprise that did not disappoint. Service was relaxed and friendly. Loved it even more that all produce was local with minimal waste.

   Simply delicious. Returning after a year, Freyja has stepped up and did not disappoint. Each dish was incredible and the flavours delectable. Well done. Loking forward to returning soon 😋

   The food was excellent and Rupert our waiter was so nice at explaining the dishes and gave us good recommendations. Best place to celebrate an anniversary. 10/10 would definitely go back again!

    What a fantastic experience, as it was the last time. This is a must visit if you're in Melbourne! Fantastic food, outstanding presentation and absolute professional chefs. Love watching them prepare the food.
