For breakfast, which can be enjoyed anytime Fresco at the Gardens is open, savory options like the biscuits and gravy made with challah rolls topped with organic pork sausage, chorizo and herbs and the whimsical green eggs and ham with homemade pesto sauce and local asiago cheese, are irresistible. Sweet breakfast choices include the healthy start waffles with Fresco granola and topped with vanilla Greek yogurt and berries and the rock candy French toast, rolled in cinnamon rock sugar, both of which are ideal with a fresh-pressed strawberry orange juice.
Popular lunch entres at Fresco at the Gardens include the chicken pretzel roll sandwich with local chicken, veggies and mustard and the charbroiled marlin with jalapeno polenta and tequila lime butter.
Wonderful meal . Great service. Clean and plenty of space between the tables. Clean washrooms. No complaints about anything. I will definitely be back in the Spring.
Wonderful venue to enjoy brunch particularly given the gloomy weather outside during our visit. Beautiful location.
Only one other table there. Food is always good. Service a bit spoty, only one other table there.
Atmosphere was beautiful - overlooking the gardens and a fire in the fireplace. Food was unique, healthy and delicious - even my 10 year old son found items he liked! Service was friendly and helpful. Safety precautions were in place to keep us safe while eating indoors. A great place to eat before touring the gardens!
Excellent food and the pinot noir was drinkable and a generous pour (thanks to the bartender). I see with reduced traffic that they don't have all the seafood listed on the website but completely understand and doubt I'd gone for shrimp/mussles/etc combo anyway given it's the Midwest.
We were there on a cloudy windy day so the traffic was light. Odd thing was that they close at 2PM and said reservations were limited when we called two days before and offered us 2PM. Then called us at 1:30 to say we should come now because they close at 2PM.
The food was delicious!!! The restaurant is beautiful
We were very pleased
Excellent food at a reasonable price
Fabulous food in a beautiful setting.
Friendly hostess, and waitress. She accommodated our request to split the breakfast order on 2 plates. The eggs benedict was fantastic, and the hulk drink was refreshing, we can't wait to eat there again.
Great atmosphere. Although it was chilly and rainy, we had brunch under the tent outside. Beautiful view of the garden. Food was good just wish I had dressed for the weather as it was chilly and damp out there. Overall, will definitely go again!
Wonderful. Have not been in 2 yrs but still yummy and nice to be outdoors and with a view. Nice to have gluten free choices and substitutions. Just ask!
The food and specialty cocktails were amazing! The view is outstanding. Great place for a relaxing and delicious meal.
My friend had ordered a salad with chicken breast. One of the pieces was a large bone. When we pointed it out to the waiter and the manager they apologized. They offered no alternative and add a minimum they should’ve offered us a free beverage or replace the salad. We could’ve asked but it is a business’s responsibility to make it right.
Beautiful surroundings. Comfortably spaced outdoor seating, Delicious food. Our server provided excellant service - very accomodating without being intrusive. We had a wonderful experience.
Lovely outdoor patio surrounded by gardens. Good COVID precautions by staff.
The Japanese Garden is a fabulous place to dine. Don't miss the epic bloody Mary.
Excellent food fresh and interesting recipes on the menu
Excellent outside dining.
The fall menu is delicious! The location is convenient but as most know, it's on the corner of North Second and Guilford so there's a lot of traffic noise.
We sat outdoors on the patio. The waiter and staff wore mask. The service was excellent and food came quickly . It was very good and a beautiful setting.
They are not following the Health Departments guidelines by having indoor dining. Not going back until they follow the rules. If they don’t follow these rules...what does that say about the cleanliness of their kitchen.
Great breakfast and nice patio setting. We love coming to gardens.
Great service in a calm setting
Fantastic restaurant - I had the lobster roll and my friend tried the salmon tacos. Both were delish! Great ambiance. Will definitely go back.
I had to move my table farther away from the next table to ensure social distancing. The waite staff were masked all the time and the service was very good.
Good food, service and being outdoors overlooking the gardens is fantastic.
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Would visit again with enthusiasm.
Beautiful setting for lunch. Unfortunately our server didn’t appear for quite some time so we sat with no water or drinks. The menu was extensive for lunch. We were excited about all the choices. I had the blackened salmon tacos and the fish was slightly overcooked and there was no heat in the seasoning. But the toppings were fresh and crunchy. My husband had the impossible burger sliders and they were tasty. The accompanying vegetables were overcooked and mushy. Tables were scrupulously cleaned after each party by I thought the tables chairs were closer than 6 feet.
The menu selection and food were excellent. I have a dairy and gluten sensitivity and the waitress consulted with the chef to ensure my menu selections were free of both. Definitely will return within Covid guidelines.
Good food. Excellent service. Lovely setting outdoors and staff followed social distancing. Hope to repeat this experience as soon as we can.
We had a 2 pm reserv and when we got there after driving there for almost 2 hours they said they were not honoring our 2pm reserv even though we were there 20 minutes early. They said for lack of patrons that day it was not worth it for them to serve us for the 2pm reserv, the last time for lunch that day. They claimed they called us about 45 minutes before we arrived though we might have lacked phone coverage on the road then if they did call. They did not offer to serve us regardless of their plan to stop serving even though we had driven all the way there. Nothing was offered to us except a better luck next time and their will certainly never be a next time.
We enjoy Frescoat the gardens we make the trip just for lunch. Food is excellent, beautiful surroundings and extremely pleasant staff. Will be back often!
One of my favorite places. Food is always good and fresh.
great food in a beautiful setting! sorry we don't live closer, I'd go more often.
Food and drinks were good, I only wish our server was a little quicker and more attentive. I did watch her around the room, she wasn't particularly busy and could've gotten our orders quicker.
Staff was friendly, food and drinks were delicious and ambiance was great!
Very good service. Food was good. Outside seating was nice.
The food was excellent! The location was amazing, with the wall of windows, or the deck if you're lucky enough to be seated outdoors, overlooking the garden. A wonderful experience!
Good service, good food and wonderful views of the magnificent gardens. Can't ask for more.
Service was slow and when wiping the tables the staff did a poor job which means that any attempt as disinfecting was inadequate. Both my wife and I had seafood which was below standard even by Midwest standards. I struggled to taste any crab in my crab cake sandwhich.
